Alright so what is your primary browser and why? Speed, security... something must attract you to it. Let us know.
Currently the most popular browsers today are:
*http://www.winplanet.com/img/screenshots/firefox.gif Firefox 3 which is soon receiving a large update to 3.5

*http://www.gadgets-reviews.com/uimg/GoogleChromeLogo_50.jpgGoogle Chrome, recently updated to version 2.

* Internet Explorer 8. The first IE to comply to web standards. IE8 doesn't get an image because I'm limited to 4.

*http://profile.ak.facebook.com/object3/535/44/q70442022094_9704.jpg Safari 3. The much better & improved Safari 4 Beta is available to the public.

*http://edmullen.net/opera.pngOpera 9. Opera 10 Alpha is available to the public but as it's an Alpha it still has problems.

Now of course there are many other browsers out there and if you use one not on the poll please let us know what it is and what it is like.

I mainly use Safari because I'm on a Mac, although I do also have Firefox installed.

IE7 actually complies pretty well to standards, but you (as a developer) need to tell it to use "strict" mode when you design pages. There's a meta tag you can use to do this. IE6 had the same ability, but even then it was still much less compliant than something like FF. It's good to hear IE8 will do this by default.

I'm a Firefox user. There is proof of this with a Web site I built for my organization. In IE, the bottom links will not be situated correctly on the page, while they look perfectly fine on Opera and Firefox.

I have no intentions of fixing it. I despise IE.

the one on my computer is Google chrome for some odd reason it is the only one that doesn't take forever to bring up the internet

I used to use IE8 but when I finally got my own computer I switched to Firefox. It's a huge difference between waiting 6 seconds for IE and waiting 1 for Firefox even though its only five seconds. And Firefox has its "addon" type thing which is very useful for customization.

I use Firefox. I've had to use my brother's account on this computer before and he has IE. Yuck - it's a big clumsily designed mess and about half as fast to load.

IE8. Works very well with Aero Peek on Windows 7. I have Firefox installed but I rarely use it. Speed of both browsers is about the same. Tested it on intensive sites like ESPN and they are indistinguishable. Plus the lack of Aero Peek integration on firefox between tabs turns me off from it. I dont use any add ons besides activex plugins anyway.

Its a toss up between Safari 4, Firefox, and Chrome. I refuse to touch IE with a 49 and 1/2 foot pole.

Firefox. Haven't touched IE since about 2004.

Firefox. IE crashes way to many times for my liking.
