I keep looking at the files infront of me but I'm still having a hard time believing what' I'm reading the They call themselves Moonrise operatives, an odd little group one man squads operating all over the world yet I've never heard of them before hell opened up inside of NewYork city, about then I started beleiving in just about anything.

Their were five operatives in all, I'm not even sure if they made it to Newyork but their scheduled to arrive at an old bunker on the same island as the Statue of Liberty, outside the effected area of the city and with everything they needed for their work which was a largest and by far the strangest one I'd ever had to okay.

They went by codenames simple and tells the story about each of them or atleast what they were:

Wolf, a Lycanthrope, still having trouble grasping that idea.

Witch, yeah never thought someone like that would still be around in this day and age.

Ghost(taken Alleycat), now this was the most believable one in my books but still

Vamp, yep you heard me.

Devil(taken UnseenEYES), I wasn't sure what to think of this or if I should even put my trust there but according to what I read a Devil is a half-blood demon, as opposed the the full blooded beast rampaging through the streets of Newyork.

Reports say that there are thousands of people still holed up, soldiers and police making stands with them, and the whole area lockdown under a quartanteen unlike anything the world had ever seen before, the Moonrise Ops were on their way and so it says they haven't worked as a group sinse WWII, and a few of them are original members dating back to the Crusades but some of them have been around since ancient egypt and others are just part of a long bloodline but I can overlook these oddities if they save our city.
************************************************** **
the rules are obvious keep it realistic, you are a being from the list above I only need five people armed with anything they want, but keep it realistic no swords, wands or broom sticks. knives are okay, guns are good, spell ingredients acceptable. what you choose will dictate what you can do. witches can do magic ghosts pass through walls and posses the weak minded , and throw things with thought, the others are easy to figure out.

Name:Richard Sevre
Sex:Male
Codename: Devil
Age:Unknown(rumoured to be one of the oldest confirmed Devils to date)

Appearence:click here (http://www.suikosource.com/chars/list/imageviewnojs.php?img=y/yuber05.jpg&char_id=89) minus the hat.

Abilities: he is twice as strong, fast, and agile as any human, though he depends heavily on tricks to even any fight, capable of creating multiples of himself though only illusions they can seem very real, capable of striking an opponent but dissapating when struck even once. This illusion ability also allows him stealth to an extent he can only deceive the weak minded, and the stronger willed ones take a bit more effort but don't last as long. He dosn't age, but he can most certainly die as any other living creature can.

weapons:A silenced pistol and and a six inch combat knife.

Bio:as a devil Richard has been around for quite some time, and has also been in the thick of many of the worlds darker events. For his first thousand years of life he was loyal to his own kind, responsible for many a dark whisper and stir of chaos, the during the crusades he met the first members of their team, they had beaten him, and he signed over his life to serve their cause, besides he was getting sick of his brethren and their games. Among his fellows he is the oldest but not the purposed leader but their really wasn't a leader they did their jobs independant of one another, but it seemed Richard had the most contact with the others being the "man with the plan" handing out information from his niche in the demon heirarchy, he also orchestrated the last time they'd worked together during WWII the missions that never saw the light of day.
******************************************

Richard was the first to arrive, and soon found himself taking inventory
"Wolf's things are here, Witch's, Ghost's, and Vamp's, now where are my..." He walked passed the duffle bags and crates to find his suitcase smiling as he picked it up walking back to the meeting room and setting it atop a table popping it open finding his things in order maps of the city the subway and sewer systems, along with his laptop, a few boxes of church certified ammunition, and a spare suit. Pulling down a panel he found his weapons a silver plated Colt 1911 customized with a laser sight and silencer, it was awork of art in his eyes even taken the time to engrave a vein like design alone it's silver surface. Just below it was his knife only a six inch blade short, but sharp as beautiful as his colt only much older this knife killed kings back in the old days. Richard smiled to himself before holtstering his weapons, and opening his laptop looking over the mission, and updates to the situation.

Moonrise wasn't loyal to any country and despite their unholy nature they were favoured by the church, so they're main benefactor had become the Vatican in recent years but before that it was more a mercenary type group, still was. Richard brought up his financials on the screen checking his accounts aswell as his comrads at least they trusted him to deal with the paperwork he could here them joking already "Devils one step away from lawyers and bankers," then another would chime in "yeah and their good with numbers too."

Richard would always retort "Wanna get paid for this one or are you donating to charity this month?"

All this time to kill while Newyork was tearing it'self deeper into hell, this would be a fun job, every creature they'd ever killed would be coming to play aswell as a few they'd only dreamed about. Richard only hoped that they wouldn't meet 'him' the one even demons whisper about but enough thinking he had to figure a few things out first while waiting for the others.

Bio: Born in 1951, died 1963. Alice was murdered in her home while her parents were out. Her body was found curled up between the wall and the refrigerator, clutching a kitchen knife for protection. She had been shot multiple times. But that was only where her story began. Alice awoke as a ghost three days later. She found her way into the Moonrise operatives only recently, and has been used in multiple missions, especially ones where it's information they're seeking. She has even been granted a solo mission. Her specialty is infiltrating buildings and possessing people in order to obtain information. Though she looks like a child she is extremely mature.
~~~~~~~~
The boat docked beside the island and Alice didn't wait for them to put down the walk, she floated across the lonely deck and down onto the island. Her feet just barely hovered above the ground as she headed straight towards the bunker. People milling about outside looked up and scattered out of her way before returning to scrutinize her.
"Look that has to be Ghost"
"She looks like a little kid"
"She looks like a flower child to me"
Alice paused and turned her cold red gaze on one of the men. He took an unconcious step backward, tripping.
"Boo" Alice said, and a tiny smile appeared on her lips. She continued into the bunker. She searched out a familiar prescence, Richard, or Devil. She picked up the pace and found him quickly, appearing silently behind him. She waited for him to notice her, hoping to suprise him.
"Nice try Alice, good approach, but that cold chill will always give you away." Richard smiled, as he swiveled about to see her behind him "Don't worry I'm as old as dirt so I know a few tricks," he turned back to his laptop, checking in on some hot spots by tapping into cameras here and there, the largest image was a police station boarded up and filled with heavily armed survivors cop patroling the roof.
"You been staying out of trouble?" he glanced back.
"I'll get you eventually, it's not like either of us is going to run out of time." she said, coming to look over his shoulder at the screen. "As for trouble, well you know me. It's hard to pass up giving someone a good scare once and a while. Haunted an amusement park in Florida for a little while. Same old same old." She drifted to the table, taking a seat on top and swinging her legs over the side.
"What about you?" she asked, looking at the case of weaponry beside her.
"Let's just say with every year that passes Russia gets colder and colder." He brought up his maps and started marking off all the zones where he saw people hold up inside through the active cameras. "But that's considering your cousins so to speak poltrageists are not as charming as yourself, ruined a few of my suits."
On her 11 birthday she got her cat, Jasper, as a birthday present. That spring she was caught by her parents playing with some of her stuffed animals that she had enchanted. Her parents were scared of her since. On Halloween that same year she ran away when she said she was going out trick-or-treating. "This is the place." Kaye said to the cab driver as they pulled up by the bunker.
"That'll be $14.50" He said. Kaye gave the man his money and hoped out of the car with Jasper right behind her. Jasper meowed at her, so she picked him up and proceded inside. After wandering a bit, Kaye found the others.
"Hey" she said as she aproched them.
Name: Leo (short of Leonard) Caine
Sex: Male
Codename: Wolf
Age: His exact age is not known by anyone but himself, although he says it to be around nine hundred years. (Looks to be about in his twenties)
Appearance: Leo is tall, a little more than six feet. He doesn't boast a huge muscular form although has a slight build. He has short, dirty blond hair, almost brown and yellow-green eyes. He doesn't wear anything fancy, just a normal plain colored T-shirt and long blue jeans. When in wolf form he can walk on two, or four legs. He looks more like a wolf than human but it is still easy to pick out some of his human features. His eyes turn pure golden-yellow when in wolf form. He has grey fur almost all around except for a white patch on his chest, and a line that starts on his left forehead and crosses his face diagonally. He is large for a normal wolf and keeps his "slight" muscular build (he uses his agility more than brute force).
Abilities: Leo can shift into wolf form at his choosing (which took many years to master) and has superb agility and speed. He is strong (but as previously stated he uses his agility more than power). He also has extremely heightened senses (more than a normal Lycanthrope because he has had so long to practice and hone them).
Weapons: He doesn't use anything save for his wolf abilities Although he has had some practice with guns, he doesn't carry one around.
Bio: Leo never told how he became a Lycanthrope, nor about his childhood. He first appeared during the Crusades where he joined the Moonrise operatives. He wasn't a very happy person during those times, keeping to himself and not saying much. Over the years he became a more laid back and carefree person. Most of his kind has died out since the first Crusade leaving him to be one of the few left. He worked in many different places and never stayed in one for more than a year, until WWII. After that he then was sent to South America for a job he hasn't been able to tell anyone about until now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Leo was on the same boat as Alice but left a few minutes after her, looking up at the star-less sky. He walked off the boat and started towards where he had seen Alice float off to. He picked up on Alice's and Richard's voice and met up with them as Richard was speaking.

"Russia isn't too bad, was there a few times when Ivan the Terrible was in rule...not a nice guy." Leo laughed a bit. "So how's everybody been?" he said as he grabbed up his things and walked over to an empty table.

"I've been good-ish. Can't help but stir up trouble now and then." Alice laughed, coming to a stop beside Kaye.

"Yes our blood bound friend is taking his time." Richard tucked his things away into his suitcase before standing to greet those who've already arrived, I'll get down the details, Witch, Wolf hope you liked those last pay-days because this one's ten times that wonderful sum." He said smiling.

"Sounds good, even though the last was less than what I expected." he laughed again. He opened his small grey-blue duffle bag. Inside were a few sets of clothes and a small mini-laptop.

"It's nice not having to carry so many things. The simpler the better" he said as he laughed again.

"I hear yahs." Kaye agreed as she sat down. Jasper crawled out of her grasp and curled up in her lap.

"More money will be nice too." She said as she subconsciously began to pet Jasper. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her mini-book of spells and began to page through.

Name: Dante Omand
Sex: Male
Codename: Vamp
Age: Born 1170, around the time of the Third Crusade.

Appearance: Shoulder length, dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, wears only plain blue jeans, dark t-shirt with an unbuttoned, short sleeve white shirt over it. Dante is a little under six foot with a slim build, although still with some muscle. After ‘feeding’ his eyes turn to a bright shade of blood red and his skin pales considerably, giving him a much more traditional vampyric appearance.

Abilities: Has all the traditional benefits that come with being ‘blood bound’.
Strength; more than someone his size should but not nearly as much as a Devil or a Lycanthrope.
Speed; something his slight build only enhances, much faster than an average Lycan and faster than an average Devil.
Healing; can heal from wounds that to humans would usually mean death. Cannot grow back limbs or other extremities if lost and a direct hit to either the heart of brain will still kill him.
Drinking blood will enhance these abilities and make them stronger, but doing so means that Dante loses some control over himself, drinking too much will put him into a dangerous blood frenzy, meaning that he usually doesn’t drink blood unless absolutely necessary.

Weapons: Has been trained to use many weapons, including firearms, but favours knives. Carries two, eight inch bladed, knifes as well as a dozen small throwing knives, six holsters on his back and four on each leg.

Bio: Dante doesn’t remember how he came to be a vampire, at least that’s what he says. He fought as a soldier during the crusades when he first started going through the changes and was recruited by the Moonrise operatives who explained his situation to him and offered him the choice of joining.
He has completed many assignments for Moonrise since then, mostly assassinations which required him to work alone for long periods of time. He has since grown a predilection for such arrangements and much prefers to work unaccompanied than with a team.
****

Dante walked slowly through the makeshift base towards the room where the rest of the team were waiting for him.

Team? Can we even be called that? None of us have worked together since that assignment during WWII and then there’s that Ghost and Witch I’ve never even met before. I don’t mind being placed in a team if the situations calls for it like now, but why do they have to team me up with the new guys?

He walked into the room where the others were waiting for him and crossed the room quickly to collect his equipment. He glanced at each of them in turn, nodding quickly to Leo and Richard, and quickly taking in the other twos appearance before turning back to his gear.

“Sorry I’m late, hope I didn’t keep you all waiting for too long?”

One of them looks barely twelve and the other looks like a Halloween costume. At least the other two will give the team some experience.
Dante finished attaching the knives and holsters before turning away to face Richard and lean against the wall of the room.

“So, what exactly is it we were called here to deal with?”

"Well If my memory serves me right New York is now a Hell Hole, or being dragged into one as we speak." Richard proclaimed digging up some satelite photos of Times Square ripped open and spewing flames while dark bodies climbed free of the flame.

"It's been tried too many times to count, but there have only been four success which were only brief, one swallowed the Tower of Babel Babylon the first time it happened, then came the disappearence of the Aztechs, after that Camelot and King Arthur, and my favourite during World War two they opened one up in what we call the Bermuda Triangle it still flickers on and off from time to time." Richard leaned back up against the table.

"Hell Holes have given rise to everything we know and despise every ghost, demon, and mythical creature was born from a Hell Hole, well those that died near it. It has given rise to.... us werewolves, ghosts, demons and vampires, and witches soak up that ambient energy these things toss off like a tornado throwing debris, only the originals that come out of these things are not very pleasant time in hell makes anyone a little savage but they're also pure bred monsters not like us which have at least a modicom of humanity and common sense."

"Anyway we face anything and everything that comes out of that thing long term goal to close it before it drags New York to hell and the rest of the world with it, so you guys in or out?"

"In!" Alice promptly volunteered. Her only logic for this decision was that things had gotten boring and she didn't think she could die again anyway. She was pretty sure there weren't any priests in the city that would try to exorcise her.

“I always thought New York was a Hell Hole, now it’s been confirmed. Well, I’m never one to turn down a fight, so I’m in; but I have two questions. One; how exactly do we close this hole? I guessing since the world hasn’t been destroyed by those other ones you mentioned than it must be possible, and two; how much do I get paid at the end of this?”

"Our pay-day is a grand total of $1.3 million dollars.....a peice and thats after expenses." Richard grinned .

"Hell Holes close the same way they open by killing something, it's more complicated to open one, the who what, where, how, and howmany all have to fit perfectly into place, but closing you find the Sovereigns; Demon royalty they're the ones that litterally tie themselves to this world kill destroy their bodies and those ties are cut and it's all put to an end."

"As for the people stuck inside we can't do a thing nothing is allowed to leave, we can get support from them, or keep them from doing anything stupid but that's about it I marked them on this map, incase we need supplies, weapons or just a few good men, that and they're the only safe places for us to call in air drops for more specific items we can't find anywhere else. If there are no more questions we need to get to the boats, I'll answer you all on the way should be a fun trip."

"It shall at least be interesting" Kaye smilled.

The thought of that much money amazed Kaye. Sure there were a few things she wanted, but they were simple things, like a coat she'd been eyeing. That money would last her a while.

Kaye gently pushed Japer's ear into his face. He glanced up at her with his big amber eyes knowingly and hopped off her lap. She got up and shoved her mini spell book in her pocket ang grabbed her stuff.

Alice floated toward the boats, eager to get into the city and start the mission. The pay didn't actually mean much to her, maybe she would find a good human and give them some of it. That might be interesting at least. She looked out toward the city and wondered what exactly they would find.

“So, basically we walk directly into the middle of hell, pick a fight with the biggest demon we see, backed up by a bunch of poorly armed civilians and if we somehow manage to live through the ensuing massacre all we get is $1.3 million dollars? Plus expenses? Well, I guess that’ll teach me never to agree before I hear all the details, I’ll be on the boat regretting my decision if you need me”

Dante checked his equipment one more time before walking out the door and back through the building and outside to the boats. Once on the deck he walked across to the other side and leaned on the railing there, looking across the water to the city.

Why do I get the feeling its not going to be as easy as killing a few Demons? They’re bound to be heavily guarded, and even if there not, Sovereigns are sure to be a fair bit stronger than your average demons, not like they were exactly weak to begin with. Oh well, looks like the worlds about to end whether I go on this little mission or not, might as well have a little fun before everything goes to hell.

"Well then, like I said, at least it will be fun." Leo said. He enjoyed the thrill of fighting, and after not getting to do rarely any in his previous assignment it was great for him to be able to get back into it. After a minute or so he walked out towards the boat.

He sat down near Alice and Dante and also looked out towards the city. He stared for a moment and turned back away. He thought to himself while he waited for the others.
