I have to thank Uno and Inkheart for sparking the flames of verse up again with their poetry before the crash. Hopefully this spot will continue to showcase what those flames have forged.

First up is a rehashing of one of my favorite original poems. Somehow it was inspired by MacBeth. Unfortunately, the ravages of time have left me unable to quite place the scene from the play which inspired it.

Scarlet

Scarlet embrace
like rivers you flow
upon the plains you feed.
Enraptured delirium
caress me warmly
as the soul does leave.
Crimson strands
spin ever onward
like Arachne's web.
Scarlet black
the nightshade comes
no longer are you red.

Simply put, Two thumbs up.

I found it's brevity to be an asset to the poem itself. Well done!

Thanks Klark brevity seems to be the trademark of my verse...my prose on the other hand
