While I understand that the old Java chat might be gone (or at least I pray), I was wondering if Werewolf.com still has an IRC channel and if so, what info do we need in order to be able to connect to it?

It's also perfectly understandable if there is no chat for a while. Much work to do rebuilding and all.

Sometimes that happens. Those of us with real lives away from internet connections can't really pop in there on a moments' notice.

lol it's early yet. Generally people don't start popping up until later in the day. Generally night time is a bigger crowd, or more chatterly.

I typically sit in there, even though I'm at work, simply because I can look in every once in a while. Morg is right though, throughout the day, it's not very active at all.

A couple of people are working on some special interest chatbots so people who log on during the day have some entertainment.

WerewolfBetty is right now a bot that basically runs as a greeter and spam protection when I get her op'd.

Trying to get her to be more interactive She has some words that she'll respond to, though.

Edit: Change the bots name back to Werebot because the functionality is so limited on this program and I want Betty to be more of a social bot.

It has slowed to a crawl the likes of which I haven't seen for some time, but a majority of "regulars" have been busy or left.

I check in now and then but it seems like around the time LV left, so did everyone else because she was the one most frequently active in there and the rest of us idled a lot. Too bad, I enjoyed killing time there.

If you're asking me, please do reread any post of mine that has to do with chat, such as in this thread, the chat stickie (http://www.werewolf.com/vb/showthread.php?t=989) in Misc Disc, or the one Metakittie started a long while ago (http://www.werewolf.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4581).

I'm beginning to sound quite a bit like a broken record.

My recommendation might not be everyone else's recommendation. Here's a list and basic comparison (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_Relay_Chat_clients) of the available ones out there.

I'm there. Usually I'm on at like 1 AM mountain time, though, so I don't know if anyone is awake then.

I'm on occasionally during the evening hours here on EST...the limit is usually 11pm since I'm an old fart and night hours only exist when I can't get to sleep.
