Cast So Far!:
* Lau (Calvin Prae)
* Dmitri Mendle (Xav)
* Catherine (Cathy) Zachs (Alleycat)
* Brody Nilfour (Zero)
* Leonardo (Leo) Shadark (BRP)
* Aero Rondo (Shining)

Title: The Dance of the Dead

Setting: Dance takes place in the fictional city called ... wait for it... the City. At least, that's what the locals affectionately call it. The City's name on a map is Fort Augustine, but no one really calls it that beyond tourists.

The City is wedged between the foothills of the eastern mountains and the Pacific coast. There are seven classified districts, each with a theme. The seven districts are:

The Waterfront/Pier: The beaches, industrial shipyards, protected coastline, and the boardwalk all fall into this district that stretches almost the entirety of the city's coastline. For the Kindred Society, the Waterfront is watched by the Daeva

The Downtown Business: The financial arteries of the city all crisscross through here. The CEOs, the tycoons, the rich blood, all of that board-room politics is what makes this district life. For the Kindred: The Ventrue lay claim to this district.

The Slums: The slums aren't a district as like the Waterfront, or the Downtown area, but one knows they've stepped into a section of the Slums as soon as they've done so. The sewer system and the El, the city's subway system also fall under this district. The Slums are anywhere in the city where the poor and the criminal congregate. Kindred: The Slums aren't claimed by any one clan.

The International District: Located near the downtown arteries and cut in the middle by the Interstate, the International District is where cultures from all around the world play nice for tourists, and in the back-alleyways shank eachother for bigger slices of territory. It's rumored that there's a heavy undercurrent of occult to be found here. Kindred: The Mekhet control the International District.

The Industrial District: Warehouses, factories, chop-shops. Illegal whorehouses run out of abandoned store-fronts... this is where the grime and dirt of city living are built upon. The tourists are advised to stay well away from this cop-light district. Kindred: The Nosferatu are the watchdogs here.

Central Park: The couple hundred acres of woodlands and parkspace are a haven of nature in the middle of a bustling crowd of humanity. The park is well cared for, though there's a few sections that folks avoid after dark. There's even rumor that the park supports a wolfpack. Kindred: The Park is watched by the Gangrel and something else.

The Rack: The Red Light District. The Strip of Nightclubs, the casinos, the gambling dens. This is the juiciest slice of feeding ground. If you're allowed here, you're almost guaranteed to be able to sip down a pint of blood without resistance. Kindred: The Rack is fully operated by the Prince's law. If you're not welcomed, it's on your final death that you risk poaching here.

What Your Character Knows:

This is mostly what your character's going to know at the beginning of the game. Obviously, once your character's gone through a couple of nights as the undead, you'll learn about the districts and whatnot. That'll become free-knowledge. Anything learned during game that your character is witnessed to, will also become free game for you and anyone who witnessed it ICly.

*Your character is a vampire. Everyone who comes back knows this, but you do not know -how- or -who- made you a vampire.

*Each character has been contacted by someone that calls themself from the same "bloodline" as you. (Clan). You have been told where you are allowed to feed, and given a haven to rest in during the day.

*You are, at the start of the game, waiting on a yacht in the Waterfront district for someone called "Prince" to see you. You have been stressed that if you fucked this meeting up, you're going to kiss the sun.

*You know your clan's power.

***
The Second Post will be the rules of this game. The next post after that will discuss what it means to be a vampire in The City, and what the clans are. Finally, the last post will be the character creation template.

This post will be revised as needed. It's currently under construction.

General Rules:

1.) This is a dice-based game.
As in, every action you do that is against a fellow player-character or an important NPC, or it is essential to the plot-progression will be decided by dice-rolls. Yes, no more "I hit you" "Did not" Did too!" arguments.

The dice roller I use is here: WoD Dice-roller (http://www.ekkaia.org/rpg/wod/diceroller.php). It does not save the dice rolls, so I cannot double-check what you have done. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt for now, but if this is abused, we'll go to a moderated roll-off site.

There are 4 results your dice can give you. These are: Dramatic Failure, Failure, Success, Exceptional Success. This is discussed in the next rule.

1's are anti-success numbers. For every 1 you roll, you lose a success.

2-7 are non-existant numbers. If you roll these, you haven't botched a success, but you haven't gained a success.

8-9 are success numbers. If you get these, you've got a success on that dice.

0 (10) is a success that can be re-rolled. You want these. Mwuaha.

Rule 2: How Dice-Rolls affect you.
The way we're going to play is like so: Your character will have a character sheet that has stats on it. Each stat will have a number attached to it. That is the amount of dice you're granted for that dice-pool.

Example: Emelda wants to sneak up on the gangrel guard watching the warehouse. The player would then roll a Physical + Stealth dicepool and give the results in brackets at the bottom of one's post.

**Rp post**

(( Result for Physical + Stealth: 1 success ))

Dramatic Failures: This is when the number of 1's overwrites the number of successes. This basically means that the gun will jam at the wrong moment, you'll lose control of the car, you politically fuck-up that speech, or you stumble when you're stalking someone. I as the ST will describe these if they come up.

Failures: Just what it implies, you fail to do what you wanted to do.

Success: You succeed. Yippie. This may or may not be a total success, depending on if the action was contested.

Exceptional Success: When you reach a success result of 5+. You did that driving gig flawlessly, you charmed the priest into sinning, you demolished the guy in the fighting cage. Fun stuff.

3) Posts and whatnot:
You still cannot control anyone's actions/sayings but your own. The Storyteller (myself) paints the results of your actions, and the world around you. The Storyteller has final say over what happened. If I suspect you're fudging dice, you're going to be banned.

Combat Rules/Discussion

Rule I: Deaths
Yes, your character can die now. You'll be given a set amount of health-points that, once they're gone, you're dead. Period. Ashed, see-ya, all that jazz. This means, that potentially, you could kill another player through combat/actions, but I'm going to suggest that we refrain from TPK this go-around.

Rule II: Combat Scenes
If I designate a combat-scene, I will put up a bolded bit over your name and have combat beside it, like so. <COMBAT>Emedla, this means you have a set turn rotation and every action will be resolved via dice-rolls. For simplicity, all attacks do points of damage against your health-levels. No bashing/lethal/whatnot. Just damage. This is to keep it simple. *Note, this might change next game, we'll see.

Vampires and You!
What the hell this all means

General Vampirisms

Rule I: All Vampires require Blood
*Vampires are creatures that have crawled back from the Underworld to feast upon the living. Every vampire must feed on human blood to survive. No one knows exactly why, but there's something in the blood that the vampire craves.

Rule II: Fire Bad.
*Sunlight is to vampires as silver is to werewolves. There's a cruel joke amongst the younger crowd that someone who's died from sunlight has "Kissed the Sun". Fire, also, is a sure way to get yourself ashed.

Rule III: How can you kill that which has no life?
*Vampires are tough. Really tough. It's hard to kill a vampire beyond staking them out in sunlight or setting them on fire. The Vampire's Status(Blood Potency) prevents mundane attacks from being too serious. Feeding fills up a character's "health pool" to full. Blood is life.

Note: The amount of dots you have in Status are the amount of health points you can regain per minute. The undead flesh just keeps renewing itself.

Rule IV: Blood calls to Blood
*Vampires run in bloodlines. When you're Embraced, you awaken as a member of this bloodline. Each bloodline has a power associated with them, extra boosts that the Embrace has given them, and certain drawbacks that the blood has taken away.

Rule V: Monster Inside
Every Vampire knows the beast within. It's what drives the bloodlust, the fear of the fire, and the survival instinct. Sometimes, the Beast can overtake the vampire during feeding, or if they're starved, or if they get angry enough.

*note: If you run out of blood, you risk the Bloodlust frenzy. This isn't a good thing. It means that you could kill innocents and expose vampires because you're not thinking straight.

Clans

*The Ventrue ~Sex is like Power, you know. Sooner or later, someone's going to get fucked. It's not going to be me.

The Ventrue were born from the first human who conquered death through sheer will. They weren't ready to die, so they kept on living... although the new way of life wasn't exactly the same. The Ventrue are the clan most interested in status, making a legacy, and overall power; be it in strength, mental, or on the social battleground.

Power: The Ventrue aren't leaders just from good looks and charm. With an opposed roll of their Mental + Status vs. the target's Mental + Defense, they can dominate their subject into doing an action the Ventrue wills that does not involve the subject doing direct harm to itself.

Bonuses: +1 to Subterfuge, +1 to Status
Drawbacks: -1 from Stealth

*The Gangrel ~There is a beast in me. It hungers for blood and meat and death.

The Gangrel are the vampires who cling closest to the beast hidden within their empty souls. The Ventrue joke and call them "feral" but secretly, the other clans fear the Gangrel who's in tune with their inner monster. Gangrel as a whole focus on physical and the combat arts.

Power: The Gangrel can shapeshift. Each Gangrel has one animal form which they can change into with a Physical + Status roll. (Unless we're in combat, I won't actually call for this). The allowed forms are: wolf, bat, or panther.

Bonus: +1 to Physical, +1 to Unarmed, +1 to Defense
Drawbacks: -1 to Mental, -1 to Technology, -1 to Status

Mekhet: ~The Shadows hide the secrets of this world, both the good and the one's that'll make you scream.

The Mekhet are nicknamed Shadows for a reason. Created from the overpowering fear of death, the creator of this clan was too afraid to die and so, he hid. He hid so well that he passed from this world into the next without actually crossing the river Styx. Thus, the Mekhet were born. These are the vampires that stalk the alleyways and backrooms for secrets of power and blackmail. If they will it, they can never be seen.

Power: The Mekhet's nickname isn't given lightly. When the Mekhet wills it, they can blend into any shadow large enough to hide them with a Physical + Stealth roll. If anyone is actively searching for the Mekhet or saw them disappear, they get an opposed Mental + Awareness roll.

Bonuses: +1 to Stealth, +1 to Mental, +1 to Occult, +1 to Awareness
Drawbacks: -1 from Physical, -1 from Unarmed, -1 from Defense

Nosferatu ~Your nightmares, your terrors, all those things that chill the blood? They created me.

The Nosferatu are creepy in the sense that they're the nightmares given form. They were crafted from the inky waters of the river Styx and pulled into creation through the fires of hell. Every Nosferatu has something about them that chills the blood, be it a horrible appearance, a musty odor, or a terrible gaze. Humans can't help but to be scared of these creatures.

Power: The Nosferatu can twist the darkest fears of someone they study. With an opposed Mental + Subterfuge roll vs. Mental + Defense, the Nosferatu can turn that fear against the victim. If the attack succeeds, the victim takes a point of damage and flees the Nosferatu as death taken form.

Bonus: +1 to Awareness, +1 to Stealth, +1 to Occult
Drawbacks: -1 to Subterfuge, -1 to Social, -1 to Status

Daeva: ~Come into my parlour, said the spider to the fly.

The vampire is known for being a seductive, mysterious predator who charms the victim into his arms because the vampire cannot live without the sweetest kiss freely given. The Daeva are the reason why this image persists even in the Kindred circles. Born in sex and fire, the Daeva are the succubi of the Kindred world and they know how to pull the heartstrings well.

Power: The Daeva is the embodiment of desire. Their blood is addictive and if tasted, the drinker falls in love with the Daeva until the next sunrise. This power can be used forcefully with an opposed Physical + Unarmed vs. Physical + Defense roll.

Bonuses: The Daeva get a +1 to Social, +1 to Subterfuge, and a +1 to Status.
Drawback: -1 to Mental, -1 to Technology, -1 to Awareness.

Character Creation

Stat Breakdown

Physical: This stat covers running, jumping, grappling, fighting, swimming, chasing, feeding, stalking. This stat functions as a stamina as well.

Mental: Wits, quick-thinking, fast-talking, intelligence, mental resolve. This is the stat for those who can think on their feet, or they're book-smart. It applies to both.

Social: Charming, seducing, persuasion, social manners, politics. If you're going to be a smooth-talker, you need social

Ranged Attack: Firearms. How good a shot are you? No points in this and good luck in hoping you can shoot that thing.

Unarmed: Brawling. Can you grapple that bum so you can rip out his throat and feast on his blood?

Melee: Weapons. You claim you're a master swordsman or knife-fighter? You better have points in here to prove it.

Stealth: Sneakyness abounds. How sneaky are you?

Subterfuge: The art of deception. Seducing. Keeping a secret.

Technology: Computers, wire-tapping, all that fun stuff.

Occult: Spooky shit; how much do you understand?

Awareness: How alert are you? Can you react quick enough?

Status: How strong are your ties to the Blood? Without this, you're not even considered a Kindred. The higher your status, the more the beast calls... but the more power you have at your fingertips.

Defense: Dodging, defense of all forms (mental/physcial/social)

Join Battle: The sum of Awareness + Physical (how quick can you get into that fight?) Determines turn-order.

Health Pool: Your life. Sum of Physical + Awareness + Defense. Base is 5 for all characters.

Blood Pool: The amount of blood coursing through your veins. Too little, and you run the risk of falling to the Bloodlust. Base amount is 3.

Name:Calvin Prae
Age:19
Clan:Gangrel

Clan Power: panther animal form(if that's right?)

Appearance:A wirey guy, atheletic yes but thin, his bright blues offset the dirt blonde hair, that maintains a messy spiked style, weres average street puink clothes plain black hoodie jacket, a red t-shirt with the smart remark(define girlfriend scrawled across the chest, baggy grey uber-shorts the shorts the come down mid-shin adorned with a chain or two for style, and vintage black sneakers.

Personality:positive, pessimism, looking on the darkside of life yet descibing it with an opptimistic vocabulary, despite the heavy tone of sarcasm that comes with it. likes to keep on the move a habit he picked up as a kid not the type to sit a play video games as opposed to causing trouble in town with the local hudlums. He also has nack for being brutally honest and not caring, though he hates telling the truth about himself.

Brief Background:Born with a silver spoon, of which he's discarded in spite of his family, to which he sees as snobs and spoiled brats his sisters are the worst of it but his parents just don't seem to care save when he got dragged home by the police. Took up with the wrong type of kids, all in order to further himself from the family name, even took up Parkour(it's basically a martial art that trains one to move from one point to another efficiently and quickly without stopping) in opposition to his parents, though he's wound up in the hospital more than once showing off his half practiced skills. He hates everything to do with the privelaged life.

I'm a bit confused about your character creation stat wise, mainly how many points you get to distribute (30 like Lau said?)and how many points you can put into one thing.

Also for the defense stat "Defense: Dodging, defense of all forms (mental/physcial/social)", what does the bolded part mean?

PositiveZero

Also for the defense stat "Defense: Dodging, defense of all forms (mental/physcial/social)", what does the bolded part mean?

Physical- dodge a punch
Mental- dodge a question you don't know or don't want to answer
Social- Dodge someone you don't want to see.

At least, that's how I read it.

Knew there was something I left out... I'll edit in the 30 points.

You can put in as many points in a certain stat as you want. Just means your character's going to be lacking somewhere else.

As for the defense:
Physical: Dodge a punch/kick/monster-eating-your-face
Mental: Mental attacks, Ventrue domination power, interogations and whatnot.
Social: If it comes down to a social debate. How long can you keep your cool in a insult fest, stuff like that.

Heh. Yeah, that's why I enjoy smaller player bases; don't have to split the spotlight into so many directions.

Ah well, I'll give it to Sunday and then toss up the actual game-thread that night.

need a hand PM me I got a good handle on it, I'm familiar with the mythos that McKitty's using here here aswell as read some of the little guidebooks that float around from the same

McKitty

Bear in mind that while I'm borrowing the World of Darkness mythos, that it's only loosely based on it and all you really need to know is sometimes in the game thread, you'll ask (or I'll request) for a dice roll to be made.

I've grasped a good chunk of the mechanics however I do have a few questions.

Firstly, lets say I've got 0 points in Stealth. Now, I choose Ventrue as my clan. Is my Stealth now at -1 or can it not go below 0?

McKitty

Nothing can ever go below 0. Or the base number for defense/status/healt/BP.

Alrighty then, hope I've got everything correct. Here we go:

Name: Dmitri Mendle
Age: 24
Clan: Ventrue

Clan Power: Can dominate their subject into doing an action the Ventrue wills that does not involve the subject doing direct harm to itself with an opposed roll of their Mental + Status vs. the target's Mental + Defense.

Appearance: Stands 5'7", weighs 190lbs, and is of an average build; neither muscular nor skinny, merely well toned. Well dressed in every sense of the phrase. Not extravagant or overdressed mind you. Wears a suit reminiscent of a 19th Century gentleman (http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/paintings-by-henri-fantin-latour-1.jpg) (differences from picture include no cane or hat). Short, tussled, dirty blond/almost brown hair with matching mustache and goatee.

Personality: Always carries an air of cynicism about himself. In speech he is quick to utilize wit and sarcasm as he sees fit. Most of the time he is well mannered however, times he can be considered a good example of a classhole (http://xkcd.com/72/).

Brief Background: There aren't many exceptional events in Dmitri's past. He was born and raised in a middle class family but strove to exceed any preset expectations of himself by constantly bettering himself. Dmitri spent much of his life concerned more with his own personal success in the mental and social arena's of school.

Name: Catherine (Cathy) Zachs
Age: 21
Clan: Nosferatu

Clan Power: The Nosferatu can twist the darkest fears of someone they study. With an opposed Mental + Subterfuge roll vs. Mental + Defense, the Nosferatu can turn that fear against the victim. If the attack succeeds, the victim takes a point of damage and flees the Nosferatu as death taken form.

Appearance: 5’6”, 130llbs, soft, curvy build. Curly, light brown hair to chin length, sometimes contained in a short ponytail. Had nicely tanned skin before her Embrace, it paled and has given her a sickly pallor. From a far she comes off as a fairly attractive woman but up close her eyes are a glowing yellow, not gold enough to be alluring or even pretty. Her nails are extremely long, ragged, and ill kept and will grow back immediately if cut or broken. Dresses in dark, casual clothing. Along with her eyes, nails, and pallor she has a very cold expression most of the time which wards most people away from her.

Personality: Quiet, generous, sweet, and somewhat antisocial. Plenty of will power and determination. She has a surprising fury and won’t stop in a fight till her opponent is crushed, emotionally, physically, or both.

Brief Background: Always in the background Cathy never really had much of a social life to begin with. She fell in with a group of misfits at the end of high school but has since drifted apart again.

Name: Brody Nilfour
Age: 23
Clan: Daeva

Clan Power: The Daeva is the embodiment of desire. Their blood is addictive and if tasted, the drinker falls in love with the Daeva until the next sunrise. This power can be used forcefully with an opposed Physical + Unarmed vs. Physical + Defense roll.

Appearance: 5’9” with a lean and skinny frame, his naturally athletic nature is all that keeps him from being just skin and bones. Brody is fairly good looking, with tired bright green eyes, short, usually messy hair, and an easy smile. He wears an unkempt button down white shirt with a loose black tie over black pants, and black sneakers. Usually found smoking if the area allows it.

Personality: Brody spends most of his time looking for an escape from life, either in booze, women, gambling or smoking. His sharp wit and biting tongue are as likely to get Brody into trouble as out. He’s not one to pull punches either, some call it cheating, Brody thinks of his methods as simply assuring his victory. Brody tries to do no more than he has to in most endeavors. Believes that because he won’t live forever, he should do what he wants as often as he can.

Brief Background: Finding pleasures of the flesh at a young age, Brody left home after butting heads with his parents over what the young man was allowed to do. He has since been moving from city to city with his luck, on both cards and women, dictating how he was to live in each of them. From time to time he’s found himself in hot water, with either gambling houses themselves, or with local crime syndicates and gangs.

Name: Leonardo (Leo) Shadark
Age: 19
Clan: Gangrel

Clan Power: Shape-shifts into a panther (Via Physical + Status roll) during combat.

Appearance: 6'2", black eyes, dark tan, long straight black hair braided back, thin small nose, vertical inch and a half long thin scar on his right cheek, sharp prominent jaw, black well trimmed short beard and mustache, thin, slim build yet toned and muscular, three horizontal scars on his upper left wrist, one vertical scar in the middle of his right hand, two horizontal scars on his right wrist, pointed nails grown an inch out, wears only a blazer and ripped dress pants.

Personality: demanding, sometimes rude, blunt, arrogant, though definitely not snotty. He only his bloodline knows him by Leonardo, he commonly refers to himself as Leo. He hates stupid people just as much as he hates snotty rich assholes and those at the "top". He knows his manners, though he reserves them for those he likes. He can get angry very easily if you say the wrong thing. He's also a great liar when he needs to be.

Brief Background: Leo grew up in the upper-middle class. His family was rich enough to live in the suburbs and go on vacations every summer, yet still not too snotty that they didn't care about their children. He had a younger sister and and older brother. His older brother was an athlete, and his younger sister was a spoiled book worm. Him, he was just the average middle child that got decent grades, got the least amount of attention, with a secret that he knew would end badly when revealed, especially since his parents were Baptists that regularly attended church on Sundays and Holidays.

When the bomb dropped and his parents caught him kissing another boy that lived three doors down, he was nearly disowned. They revoked his junior's drivers license, dropped him from all after school activities, made him come home from school straight away, took away his cell phone, forced him into therapy, and stripped his room to a bed, alarm clock, and closet. After several attempts to turn him straight, including shock-therapy, and christian gay-camp, he had more than enough from them. He gathered his little possessions, a small amount of cash he stole from them, and some food, and ran away. Now he's here, hurray.

How active do we need to be on this? I don't think I should have much a problem with participation since summer vacation started yesterday, but I just want an idea.

...Did I do the math right?

I'll be around most evenings to check up on the posts.

Also, Shining, yeah, I'd like your personality filled out, mostly because during the ST posts, there's going to be times when I talk to your character, or describe something and yeah, I'd like to have something to go on.

Finally, background? Fill it out more as well. If you're going to be lazy, then join a game where background isn't going to tie in.

I'd like to join in but the holiday weekend has eaten the time needed to put in a good post. Later tonight i will have time if sign up is still open.

Unfortunately, I think with you, that'll be 8 players.

Which means, in the long run, there's going to be little side-line stuff for character development. Hmm.

If you get the profile in before I close sign-ups tonight, I'll try to make it work.

***
Edit: The game will go up at 9pm EST. Sign-ups will be closed then. If you do not have a character sheet by that time, and have not told me you are interested in the game, you cannot join.

Sign-ups are closed. If you've told me that you'd be late with the profile, you're still in the clear by tomorrow night.

Today. I'm finishing up the touches now.

Family went out to celebrate parent's anniversary.

45 minutes late, but I had to swap things around with last-minute newcomers.

okay I hope this isn't a dumb question but after a roll we take said result and post along the lines of the results, is this correct?

Yup. The dice roll results I have are guidelines for you. So, if you completely miss-roll and end up botching, your character flees.

At the bottom of your post, after the ***, just put the OOC dice info in brackets.

Since it's being asked in PMs:

Dice rolls are basically you rolling the number askd for. Like the Mental + Defense, you would roll the total of those stats (let's say mental is 5 and defense is 3 so you'd roll a total of 8 dice.)

From that is where you subtract ones if they crop up. Don't worry, took me a bit to catch onto it all too, and that was in a Mage game with spells. /shudder

(Sorry I was late in getting this done)

Name:Andrew Feltyr
Age:24
Clan:Mehkhet

Clan Power:Blend in Shadows(Physical+Stealth)

Appearance:Average in height at 5'7" Baby blue eyes with short sandy brown hair. Always wearing some type of hat. Usually wears simpler clothes that always seem compliment the area or situation he's in. His physique reflects his motto that perfection of mind is only obtainable to perfection of body as well.

Personality:Voracious need to know things. If it is withheld or kept from him, he needs to know even more. It can be hard to tell sometimes if he is genuine or not; he is well versed in playing the role especially if he wants something from you. Andrew was always the inquisitive one out of the twins. Whenever there was something to know he always found out. He had a way of collecting bits of information and stringing them together into the truth. he believes that there needs to be a perfection in body in order to perfect the mind.

Brief Background:Born as an identical twin, he was always the inquisitive one and his questioning usually got him into trouble. His brother would usually be the one to bail him out, more often than not in some sneaky underhanded way. He has acquired the skills necessary to fulfill his information lust. He's just as likely to schmooze the information out of a person as he is to go behind their back and retrieve it from other means - be it your hard drive, records, mail or neighbor. In recent times he's the one that has kept the authorities several steps behind his brother. Despite his brother turning into a murderous monster, cutting people up just to see how they work inside, Andrew feels he needs to pay his brother back for always protecting him. This has allowed his brother to continue being the "Wraith" a serial killer with a known identity that never seems to be able to be found.

Hope this isn't too late...

Name: Ryan Masters
Age: 20
Clan: Mekhet

Clan Power: The Mekhet's nickname isn't given lightly. When the Mekhet wills it, they can blend into any shadow large enough to hide them with a Physical + Stealth roll. If anyone is actively searching for the Mekhet or saw them disappear, they get an opposed Mental + Awareness roll.

Appearance: Ryan is a slender young man at about 5'8” and weighing in at 155 lbs.. He has short brown hair, often times slicked back, and brown eyes. He is most often dressed in jeans and t-shirts, depending on the weather.

Personality: Ryan is usually very quiet, typically adopting a “don't speak unless spoken to” stance. When he does speak, however, he is typically quite friendly and polite. It normally is hard for him to get angry. If he does, he tries to hold it in rather than unleashing it on someone else.

Brief Background: Ryan comes from a rather well off family, born and raised in the City. Almost as soon as he could, his family enrolled him into a number of learning centers (think like Sylvan and what not) outside of school, under the belief that such would greatly help his chances at doing extremely well in school. In a way, it has. Almost throughout his school years, he's managed to get really high grades. As a trade off to always hitting the books, however, he has become rather shy and awkward around other people. It's gotten to the point where he rather dislikes large crowds of people or being the center of attention (in those rare cases). Not long after he graduated, he got accepted to attend college at State. After a couple years from that, Ryan finally cracked under all of the pressure. In shame, he dropped out of college and returned home to a very, very angry family.
