Hey folks,
In the previous incarnation of the site, we often had "vanity" threads up here such as "Happy Birthday So-and-so!" or "I got a new job!" or "My life really sucked this week." Since you didn't have the ability to have visitor comments on your profile page, that made some sense.
With the new system, we'd really appreciate it if you put vanity topics on your profile. This way you can have free reign to discuss issues that relate to you and your friends, without turning Misc Disc into MySpace.
Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to move such posts to your profile, so we'll have to delete them. Please don't take offense at this, if it happens to you, we're just trying to keep the place organized.
I'm not going to enforce this on any existing threads. However, moving forward, vanity threads will be removed.
