My honest opinion, I am happy as hell they are trying these girls as adults and I believe anyone involved in any beatings of this nature should be tried as adults. I also think there should be a law (not sure if there is I couldn't find it) that states recording and distributing (YouTube) such acts is grounds for prosecution as well.

The person recording would surely be hit with an accessory or aiding charge.

Making it illegal to post such videos might actually hinder investigations into it. When the police (who do monitor YouTube) come across a video like this, they do take action.

This really isn't shocking. I've been put through things like that and I'm sure worse happens that you don't hear about on the news.

Not shocking or worse happening be damned, this is still freakin crazy messed up. You have to have complete lack of emotion to enjoy tapping let alone watching this. The beating alone is crazy but to cut her hair off and burn her? Sick.

I realize that, but what people fail to realize is that we should look at those happenings and learn what not to do. Doesn't seem to be working.

Sure it does. You don't see beatings like that happening en masse. I work in the media and even I don't see beatings being handed out at every street corner.

So there's a few people who slip back. It's bound to happen as we continue to progress further.

It's not a shocker in a sense because worse has happened and I am sure a lot of us have been through something similar. But, I'm starting to see more and more of this stuff circulating, everyone wants to be on Youtube.
