Hello fellow RE lovers!
I've been a massive fan of the series ever since I was a 10 year old child clinging to his best friend as his older sibling began shooting up zombies back on the old PSX. It scared me back then, but something about it just kept harkening me to it.
Fast forward a few years and you could find me playing the games endlessly, unlocking every little secret there was. Fast forward a little more, and you'd have seen me absolutely killing Resident Evil 5 for my PS3. Also, I put in Umbrella Chronicles from time to time on my Wii.
So, how about it? Which of the games are your favorites?

The remake of the original for Gamecube was not only one of the first games for that system I played, but also my introduction to the series. Hell of a way to start off, eh?
Y'know what my one real disappointment with RE5 was? That there's no typewriters, even if just as a background prop. I was so looking forward to seeing a typewriter that just might look as slick as the ones in REmake/Zer0's pre-rendered backgrounds. And then just as the hardware allows for the insane amount of polygons that would take, they decide to go with an autosave/checkpoint setup.... *sigh*

I agree, that is a hell of a way to start! I made sure that I played RE4 before I went on to 5 and I ended up getting the Wii version of it. I LOVED that game, and I actually liked the introduction of Las Plagas being the main problem rather than a new virus.
However, when I brought home 5 on launch day, I fell in love with every aspect of it. The only reason I haven't been playing it anymore is because I killed it. Literally, lol. I suppose that's my fault though. The fun starts to fade when you've gotten infinite rocket launcher.

RE4 stole my heart, though I began with the original. Typically sequels begin to annoy me, but RE4 had a different approach and I liked it. I've only played the demo to RE5. I need to get it.

RE4 was pretty amazing Klark. Tell me when you get RE5. I'll be MORE than happy to help you along through the main story through online co-op mode. ;)

Is that your way of saying that you liked RE3 the most?

I don't know if anyone was a fan of this game, but Resident Evil: Director's Cut for the Playstation has become a downloadable game from the Playstation Network Store for on your PSP or PS3! The game is $9.99.

Was that the one with the shitty soundtrack? I'm still holding out for the original, as in the original to be rereleased. Why the hell can't they just not fuck with it.

I believe it does feature an alternate soundtrack and scenes.

As much as I like the Resident Evil series, I think the only way I'd download the DC would be if I had a PSP. But, as you advised Klark, I'm waiting it out for the new one!
