Okay today was a strange day-
while heading home from Market for dinner tonight I almost hit a dog. (thankfully I did not) I pulled over and the dog came up to me got in my car, no tags or ID. I would of kept her because she was only 6 months old and cute and very well behaved. I was very surpized
Found out who the owners where waited for my son (who is afraid of dogs) to come home before we return the Pup to her owner. My son loved this dog, and wanted to keep it. The owner offered the puppy to us but my Partner said no, and our Landlord would not allow dogs in his unit because he doesn't want it getting torn up (which is fine).
We returned home and I got to work on my chores (dishes, sweeping, laundry, meal prep, vacuuming, extra extra.)
About 20 minutes later I hear my step son go "Mommy." he never calls me that, I turn confused and he said "sorry. I-" I smile at him and ask him what he wants and says, with a stutter:
"hey can I help you wash dishes, sweep, and vacuum?"
I was not sure I heard him right, and asked "what?"
He stutters over his sentence and said "you work too hard."
I was still not sure if I heard him right but smile and say "let me get you a chair."
We ended up doing the dishes together and cleaning the house.
I have to say how many people's 5 year old's tell their step mom that they work too hard and that they want to help?!?
IT WAS AWESOME! :D
