Second Chance: New contract

Aido was confused for a second as the Japanese office changed into the large cold chamber in Hell. "Congradulations, you have fufilled your list. Come and claim your reward young Aido." Lucifer almost sang from his thrown. Aido gripped the frozen blade in his hands tighter as he threw a frosty glance toward the massive chair in the center of the room. "Alright Satan,I reclaimed your souls and then some, where's Anna?"

The Devil smiled and waved his hand as two demons entered the chamber escorting a young blonde woman coated in frost. Lucifer smiled as Aido was caught off gaurd, "I thought it would be fitting for her to arrive cold for her frozen prince," he cooed. Aido quickly thawed at the sight of his bride-to-be. "Anna, is it really you?" He run over and embraced the young woman before she could answer. "You fufilled your contract, and I have given you what you desire, but I would like you to do a favor for me once you are back on the surface." Lucifer said softly yet stern. "Anything you ask, all I want is a few days for the wedding first." Aido whispered, tears streaming down his face.

Lucifer smiled, "Great. I want you to lead a new team for me. I want you to keep everyone on track this time though, and I know that with your resourses you can keep everyone in touch and well armed." Aido was quiet for a moment before answering, "Fine, but I want to be able to keep in touch down here as well, and be able to alter the team as I see fit." Lucifer's cold eyes lit with amusement, "Of coarse. I will see you in two weeks. Be ready on the surface by then.

Ok, rules are simple. You get ONE unholy power and no God modding, I will kill off anyone I see getting too powerful or going off track after a warning. Owners of previous characters can either continue with their old one or create a new character. I will create the sequences with the devil aswell as Aido, but feel free to interact with both characters. Other than that have fun.

Power: "Black Ice"
Discription: Thin, and pale. Wears a white silk suite with a coating of frost. Has light blonde sholder length hair and violet eyes that glow through his sunglasses.
Personality: Shy around those of power, but coldly cunning. Kind to those who listen, but will quickly jump to punishment.
Skills: Swordsman and archer. Has experience in big buisness due to his wealth. Well prepared for almost any situation.
Reason in Hell: Suicide turned group leader.

Aido walked up the stairs in his mansion toward his office, but found that the door led him elsewhere. Aido walked into the large chamber towards the center where the throne had been. 'Hello Aido. Ready to meet your new team?' Lucifer's voice rang in his head. "As ready as I'll ever be..." Aido mumbled. 'Good, just remember what I told you. Oh, and consider this a wedding present.' Aido's body started to surge with a cold pain that suddenly stopped after he fell to the ground. He dusted off his flashy trousers and suddenly felt the familiar chill of his ice powers freezing his left hand, but the ice was pitch black. "interesting," Aido groaned as he thawed and stood waiting for the new and old arrivals to enter.

Name: Cathy Atkins
Age: 18
Ht./Wt: 5'6"/125lb.
Power: "Whisper"
Discription: Tan skin, average build. Amber eyes, short dark blonde hair. Heavy circles under her eyes from poor sleep, some thin, obscure scars on arms and legs. Wearing spotted grey tanktop, black jeans, and black converse. Carries a black backpack post of the time.
Personality: Unstable. She is usually cheerful with a sweet nature, and doesn't think much of what she has done. When doing 'jobs' however she is cuning and cold, and afterwards she tends to have a bit of a breakdown.
Skills: Agile, light footed, lockpicking.
Reason in Hell: deal with the devil, continued killing after the deal was up

Cathy felt her concious tugged toward somewhere else and before she knew she had been transported to a familiar room. She looked around her with interest.
"What is this? A new deal? You know you really don't pay as well as some of my other clients." She said to the empty room, walking in a circle. She stopped, finally seeing Aido.
"Hey, long time no see. How'd it go with your Anna?" she said, smiling.

Aido smirked as Cathy awoke. "We had a wonderful wedding, too bad you missed it. I was shocked about all this just like you, but you'll be paid back this time as long as things go as planned. I'd try to use your powers before anyone else arrives, mine disapeared until I walked in here. They also may have changed slightly. Oh, and before I forget, please stand over here on a point of the star." Aido pointed across the room from where Cathy was standing. "The inner circle here is for those of you who are returning. I'll explain more as others arrive."

Name:Miles aka "Smiley" Carnigan

Power:Healing factor
Description:his head shaved clean, with poisonous green eyes and a hideous scar curling out from the edge of left corner of his lip to the bottom of his left ear. Dressed in a black t-shirt with a large smiley face on his chest, and his wears dark blue jeans heavy workboots and a black leather bikers jacket riddled with a few bullet holes.

Personality:Classified as a serial killer, a sociopath, and a terrorist Only he doesn't have a cause to fight for. He has no moral code but has a strangely insightful veiw of the world, as violent as he seems he's smarter than he looks sees his actions as away to balance the world keep it from falling into a boring routine a little chaos is always welcomed. Feels he missed the fun of a war so when SWAT swarms on him he has most of his fun.

Skills:Strong, with an amazingly high pain tolerance, has skills with knives explosives and other heavy weaponry.

Reason in Hell:the body count is unknown due to the scale and type of his crimes murder, arson, bombings, bank heists, and along list of others.

Miles stood centre of the bank a large automatic weapon in hand while his parters in crime went about robbing the place, SWAT was outside and ready to make a raid. The Snipers had hit him once or twice already, it made him smile wondering what they'd be thinking right now probably freaked out, this devil stuff was handy. The tear gas was fred in and the fun was about to start the first body he saw he clamped down on the trigger and unloaded only to find that his gun was gone and he was back in hell.

"Killjoy, and I was starting to enjoy myself." He yelled into the smoke as it cleared to find familiar faces "Oh crap what is it this time?"

"Hey! Welcome back to the club!" Cathy said, standing on her point of the star. She experimented with her powers, which had never completely left her. She had been unable to become completely invisible since completing her deal, but people didn't seem to take as much notice.
"I still have those lovely scalpels you gave me, thanks for those."

"Makes a difference when you use quality tools doesn't it?" he said checking his belt for his own knife, he already lost one of his favourite 'big guns' because of this place.

"And Aido my boy how's the family?" he asked with a smile.

Aido stood still and tried to look away from smiley. "Rachel's still having nightmares from when you were at the manor. If you will please step into the inner circle, I'll explain everything soon." Aido spoke quietly and coldly as tried to concentrate on something other than Smiley's presence. "I am suprised Smiley. I was told that after I finished my part the rest of first team was put into a coma until today. I've sent out demons to find where everyone should be waking." Aido was calmer as he started to create a sphere of black ice, "I wonder, does your healing ability also filter out the toxins in our bodies? Cathy and I both have a virus in our body to keep us in check until the job is done, as does everyone else who will be joining us. An insurance policy if you will. It put Cathy to sleep, and put an end of my abilities until I arrived." Aido smiled slightly as he thought of ways Kurananan BioWeapon engineering could benefit from disecting Smiley. "But then again it seems that the virus is easily contained. Maybe y'all have a strange immunity."

"What can I say Lu is a fan of my work," He said speaking of Lucifer as an old friend "haven't been sick a day since, and been shot stabbed set on fire blown up and here I am and apparently tranquilizers don't seem to give me the same buzz god knows I miss painkillers. I ruined alot of good t-shirts though, but the looks of peoples faces make it all worth it like horror movies made real, funny stuff." Smiley took his spot in the circle.

Seeing how Aido was looking at him he couldn't help but comment "If you're thinking of making a profit off me hire me for a bank job the going rate is fifty persent of the take, try any of that corporate military research shit and it'll get messy." He ended with a smile.

Turning his attension back to Cathy "Been keeping busy? Cause I think I've been reading a few interesting newspapers lately."

Aido smirked and almost laughed, "I wouldn't waste the lives of my employees that way. Grandfather may have, but I won't. It's bad enough that the manor is still being remodeled after your van went up in smoke. Let's say I make up for the look once we roll out? I do have new weapons needing feild tests..." Aido trailed off as he noticed the sphere in his hand was the size of a large grapefruit.

"busy busy busy!" Cathy answered, shrugging. "Once you get started in this business I guess it's hard to stop. I've got the whole 'feared but respected' relationship with several of my, clients. Like Aido said though, was in a small coma for a little bit. No trouble though." she said. "I wonder how many new and old are coming. You're in charge here, do you know?" she asked, turning to Aido again.

"Not really, I wasn't given all of the info, just directions for those who do show up," Aido sighed. "And I'm not in charge, just Nanny. Unfortunatly I don't get paid though..."

Power: "Devil's Tongue"
Description: Long permed blonde hair with a blue shadow and pink bangs, lithe build, electric blue eyes. Wears torn up skinny jeans, an expensive torn up shirt, red high heels, long red fingernails, lots of jewelry and heavy makeup (but tasteful). Conjure up a picture of a celebrity.

Personality: Pretends to be understanding and nice in public, but is manipulative, cruel, and seductive by herself. She doesn't care about anything but herself and enjoys manipulating the general public with her music. Sociopath.

Skills: Singing and music, manipulating people, mental and physical torture knowledge, and connections that come with being a popstar
Reason in hell: Enjoys manipulating people, and purposefully lead hundreds of her fans into drugs, crime, hateful bullying, suicide, and premartial sex with her singing. Some of it wasn't through her music... Has done much more than just that.

She was just finished singing on stage, and she was back in her dressing room, out of her performing costumes and into a casual wear. Right before she could reach the door, the room changed to something she felt she was very familiar with.

"F*ck, where the feck am I?" she asked no one, just looking around the room at the different people.

Aido let his shades slide slightly down his nose, violet eyes glowing with delighted humor. "And you are?" Aido asked akwardly as he dropped the large ball of ice, letting it shatter on the stone floor.

Eva raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Hey, hotstuff. If I knew you were here, I would have come here a lot sooner." She waltzed up to him, smirking. "The name's Josephine, but my fans know me as Evangeline." She winked. "And you are...?"

Aido gulped and pushed his shades back into place, eyes shinning through them as he stumbled for words, "um.... I'm Aido. I'm well kinda the cordinator here. If you'll just go stand on one of the star points, I'll explain everything shortly..."

Cathy snickered, watching the popstar. She doesn't know where she is yet. I wonder what she'll do when she does... Cathy's grin faltered a bit as she remembered her own first time down here, the denial and fear. She shook her head, trying to forget.

"Never was one for the professional path, I like a little freedom in my work." Miles replied to Cathy as another person seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

Miles looked close and grinned "Well who'd a thought a shining star such as this little darlin winding up in a place like this, how quaint."

Aido rolled his eyes casting a pale glow across the chamber, "Deja vu, anyone?" He snickered. "At least it's a pretty new face Smiley, unlike yours..."

Eva shrugged, and whispered in his ear, "We'll talk later, Ai-do <3," before skipping off to one of the stars, standing close to the Miles.

"Huh, you look strangely like that mass murderer that was on the news a while ago."

Aido cleared his voice loudly and started to fumble through his pockets as his pale skin brightened with embarassment. 'Anna's gonna love this one.' He lightly giggled in a high childish pitch before stiffing with more embarassment.

"Awe," he said as if responding to something cute almost begging for an odd reaction fromm anyone and everyone in the room "I've got a fan, and Aido I'm dissappointed I thought the news papers made me look pretty handsome."

He extedned a hand in greeting to Eva "Miles Carnigan, papers call me Smiley, and for the sake of introduction your name would be?" He already knew the name but even a man like him could be polight even if it was just to mess with someones head.

Eva smirked and took the hand. "Josephine Burns, but my fans call me Evangeline. You can call me Eva." She smirked. "I've always been a fan of those who abuse power, like you. Your work is excelent." She gave him an innocent smile. "Very... effective."

Aido rolled his eyes again casting light across the ceiling, and allowing him to see a strange design on it. "hmm... interesting..." Aido mumbled to himself trying to ignore the flirtatious new-comer.

Name: Kaden Fiachra
Age: 38
Ht/Wt: 6’/205lbs
Power: Limited Invulnerbility (When in use Kaden has a baleful looking dirty halo)
Description: A large and muscular man. Physically holds himself in a proud way, however his face and blue eyes tell of all the trials he’s seen. Dark black hair has a few strands of gray now, and falls to his shoulders.
Personality: Quiet and angry. Bitter and crude. Kaden is upset that his family was taken from him and will go to great lengths to bring them back, or at the very least avenge them. Still has a sense of right and wrong however, he’ll usually consider the effects of what he’s to do before raising a hand against anyone. Regardless of his sense of right and wrong, he has a raging temper and those things that do set him off make him as explosive as any bomb.
Skills: Strong and quite skilled in hand to hand fighting. Small arms experience.
Reason in Hell: Killed many people to try to avenge his family, then double crossed the devil on a previous deal.

The world was dark cold and wet. Chains held Kaden down as the water pressure threatened to crush him, forcing its way into his lungs. Kaden was kept from dieing, suspended from death and drowning for en eternity. The liquid night was split by a sinister thought in his head. Not a thought, a voice. ’Betray me again, and your suffering will be eternal.’

Without warning Kaden was dropped into a familiar room with a pentagram in its center. Water ran off his body and across the floor as he fell to his hands and knees, the halo that marked the use of his ability faded out of view as he fell. His body heaved forcing torrents of water out of his lungs and stomach. The unpleasant experience was welcome compared to the hell, which he has just come from.

Forcing himself to unsteady feet wet hair clung to his face. On initially unsteady feet, Kaden left puddles with each progressively steadier step. Taking his place in the circle opposite of Smiley he watched the man carefully. Kaden might not have liked the chaos the man embodied and forced into the world, but it had earned a grudging respect.

Aido almost jumped as Kaden appeared and instinctively produced two knives of ice. "Kaden? Jesus, what happened to you man?" Aido stashed the fresh blades in his sleeves and smoothed his sik suit as he waited for his pulse to stabilize. "Well atleast you knew the drill." he panted.

Eva took the chance to take back her hand, looking at the new comer. As her eyes wandered to the small group of people in the room, she started thinking. She still had no idea what was going on and didn't really care. She did have a suspicion that this was hell, but since she never trusted first impressions. She did seem to remember that right before she took hold of the door knob there was a loud noise...

"Well, if I'm dead I hope that makes those brainless bastards kill themselves in depressing sadness..." she muttered to herself with a smile.

[Lau]

"Ever the spider, even in death you pray for your flies to find your webs." Miles spoke a bit more philosophical of Eva's comment, only to see Kaden.

"Still wet behind the ears Kaden?" Miles couldn't help himself. "Heard that Lu wasn't all too pleased with you, how'd that work out?" Sarcasm flowing free "But I must admit, must have balls of iron to pull that off...well try to atleast." He finished with an almost mocking grin, despite the impressed tone.

Kaden coughed into his shoulder pushing up more water. “Hold your tongue harlot.” He commanded Eva without actually looking at her. Pulling off his shirt, which was little more than rags, Kaden let it fall to the ground with a wet slap. “I need clothes.” Kaden stated flatly, with only an undertone of the exhaustion he felt. Kaden’s pants weren’t in much better condition than his shirt, and he had no shoes.

((OOC: I’ll be gone for a week now, so I guess get Kaden some clothes. He’ll follow the group and usually doesn’t have much to say. If he needs to do something, control goes to BH. See you guys soon.))

Aido relaxed finally and was stunned by Kaden's sudden outburst. "Um, I guess we better start this soon then. Kaden, after the briefing I'll get you some of Al's clothes back at the manor. But before I start this, does anyone have any questions?" Aido asked in the cold demenor he had planned to before Eva arrived.

Ignoring the 'hold your tongue' and the 'harlot' comment directed at her, Eva raised her hand. "Question. Why are you wearing those freaky sunglasses? This room is kind of dark already."

Once again Aido rolled his eyes casting an eerie glow upon Eva. "I've just recently regained my sight and my eyes are still used to eternal darkness. To you this room may be dark, but to me it's as bright as the sun is to you. Any more questions? Hopefully related to the purpose here instead of my attire..." Aido trailed off, tired and suddenly drained. "... Wierd... Cathy you've been awfully quiet. You have something to say?" Aido sighed, finding it hard to breathe.

"When do I get to ruin someones day?" Smiley smirked "I'm already a teensey bit bored, and people wont just kill themselves......well most of them wont." Again he smirked.

[Alleycat]

"Aha" Cathy laughed humorlessly at Smiley's joke. She tapped her feet in the puddles of water that had gathered on the floor from Kaden. "Yeah I have a question. Is the almighty lucifer going to make an appearance or are we on our own with instructions relayed by you." she asked Aido.

Aido clenched his teeth at Smiley, "Watch it Smiley. I can make you frown permanently." The puddles of water started to churn and inch toward Aido as he turned to Cathy. "Luci's taking a break from ordering around souls, and unfortunately that's why I'm here. I guess I'll start the briefing now since it's been a while since anyone has come in. If others are to join us, I guess they'll be routed up to the manor's grounds. Well, to get started, The last team was a disaster. I was brought back to lead the second simply because I have the resourses to keep a team in touch."

We are being given a new list, but unlike the previous one, this one is mostly impartial. We are also being ordered to keep in contact throughout the mission. You are to check in once you reach the target city, and once you've made your kill. I'll supply the cell phones to do this. Failure to report in will result in a return to Hell, and well.... ask Kaden where he just was." Aido sighed and made sure everyone was in place as he pulled a slip of paper out of his pocket. He kneeled down and touched the stone floor while saying the incantation on the paper to himself. The design on the floor began to glow and Aido could feel a strange electricity flow through the blood red lines.

"Eva was it? you are about to recieve your powers for the mission. All of us recieved powers to match our personality, and you will as well. To the rest of you, you are about to have your powers completely reinstated and slightly revamped." Aido walked toward the door in which he had entered without looking at anyone, "If everyone's satisfied, please follow me to the manor for supplies."

Aido stood by the door and waited for someone to say something. 'Anna, why'd you get me caught up in this?'

"About time let's get this show on the road." Miles remembered the fond memories of his downtown exploits then remembering the disaster comment "Disaster or not I probably knocked off a few of the guys the others missed, I mean come on with enough explosives, and bullets your bound to hit the right target eventually, and trust me I've been using alot of both lately."

Then he looked to cathy who'd told him she'd been taking up killing as a profession, she was quite the prodigy when it came to killing and that look of innocence just sharpened that edge of hers, he could see it in her eyes. Then there was Kaden so much bottled fury potential in spades but too much restraint to make anything more of it. Aido was cold no pun intended killing wasn't personal or emotional it was killing he had his emotions saved for his brides, or so Miles assumed. Eva the newest little minx, a beautiful little spider deadly but not in the most direct manner, corruption, seduction, and influence were her webs her fame let her weave these at such a grand scale it was wonderful to see those trapped completely oblivious to it, Miles wondered what powers she would attain..

The coming days would be very amusing.

Eva rolled her eyes up and felt something weird in her mouth. She shrugged and looked at Smiley. Lemme see... Smiley, known criminal of multiple crimes of various degrees. Probable sociopath... Scratch that, the only difference between himself and I is that I do not enjoy dirtying my own hands with blood... she said this with a faint smile. "So, I'm guessing... we're all assassins, right? I wonder what went wrong last time that you need someone like me along," she said, not noticing that her tongue had turned black, almost as though she had been eating ink.

"Lead the way, Ai-do." She tapped her foot, wanting to get out of this room and see what sort of 'powers' she obtained.

Aido ignored the newcomer as he opened the large doors. They opened into the conference room in the manor's basement and the room was washed over by a violet glow before Aido flipped the light swith. "Please have a seat while I go get Kaden some clothes. I will be back shortly, but please make yourselves at home." Aido walked across the room and walked through another set of doors, locking them behind him.

Al, the head of staff at the manor and Aido's new father in law was waiting for him at the top of the stairs. "Any more lunitics my boy?" He asked gruffly. Aido sighed, "yeah, the clown's back and some pop diva. I need to borrow some of your clothes before they come upstairs." Aido started to walk up to Al's room when he saw three silver cases waiting by his bedroom door. "Great, they arrived on time."

Aido returned to the basement carrying the three cases and a kevlar tank-top and cargo shorts for Kaden. "The tennis shoes are upstairs Kaden, I couldn't carry them and all of this. So who's ready for their gear?" Aido said as he set the cases down on the table.

"We get new gear? Cool" Cathy said, coming closer. She peered at the cases, her curiosity plain. She looked up as the conference room door opened again. A woman walked in wearing a plain maid's uniform. She was carrying a pair of tennis shoes. She was Anna's twin, Rachel.

"I brought the shoes you couldn't carry..." she said, trailing off as she set her eyes on Smiley. Petrified with fear, she stood stricken for a moment before dropping the tennis shoes and bolting from the room, letting the door slam shut behind her.

"What was that about?" Cathy asked, looking up at Aido.

"Oh, well you were accually out killing when Smiley started to rip holes in the manor. Rachel was the only one here and Smiley apparently attacked her... or that's what she told me...." Aido trailed off as he reached down to open the smallest case. "Here are your life lines. Each cellphone has been preprogramed and use is mandatory." Aido placed the case in the center of the table and reached for the second case. "Smiley, I believe I promised you this..." Aido opened the case to reveal five pistols of assorted size. "Each of these pistols can punch a whole in a tank, but I need them to be feild tested with regular use. And Cathy you may like what's in the last case." Aido opened the largest case revealing five swords with retractable blades. "Each of these is made of a special carbonized titanium, is self-cleaning, and retractable for easy and stealth." Aido reached in and grabbed a solid white sword. "If there is a weapon someone wants in particular the armory is just down the hall. I have almost anything and everything modern warfare can supply. After everyone has their toys picked out, I'll start handing out the lists." Aido released the blade on his sword and started to get used to it's weight balance by twirling it through his fingers.

Cathy picked up a thin, elegant sword, retracting the blade back and forth a few times. "Fan-cy" she whistled, making a few slashes. They were far from beheading swipes, more like tiny flicks of the wrist. The kind of movement that could sever fingers and slit throats without the victim even realizing it before it was too late. She picked up one of the cellphones and tucked it into her jean's pocket before going back to playing with her new weapons.

"Hey, if I wanted to kill someone I'm sure you know what the results would be. Attacked her ha!" he shook his head, then picked up one of the revolvers checking it over a little bulky and the chamber was a bit rigid, loading the gun he aimed blindly off to the side and FIRED! This was when he started to pay attention "oooooo pretty." he said looking at the whole in the walls leading all the way outside "Guess you got the bang for your buck." Smiling as he unloaded the shells and put the gun down "While I'm gone could you get me an armored truck the last one exploded with most of MY armory in it luckily I still had some stuff at home or business would've slowed down on me." Miles picked up the phone and went down into the armory a bit more high tech then his old shack but was just as well organized, and only slighty better equipped. He never had a mini-gun, eight barrels of spinning death enough to make him feel warm and fuzzy he grabbed four duffle bags filling the first with larger weapons, an ASR50 anti-material rifle, and M1A1 assualt rifle, a SPAS shot gun, and a SAW light machine gun, accompanied by several boxes of ammo for all, and a cleaning kit for the guns themselves. The second bag was mainly explosives, grenades of all kinds lethal and non-lethal it was funny to kill someone with a flash grenade, claymores, at least twenty pounds of C4 and SEMTEX, the last twos would house his favourites the mini-gun a few rocket launchers a stinger missile launcher, and ever artful Flame thrower nothing like spraying napalm in the morning. Miles heft the bags up, even he found them a little heavy but worth the effort coming back tot he group looking at Aido "Well my shoppings done so where do I put it all."

"Ugh, you mean I have to actually kill someone myself?" she muttered, absentmindedly pocketing a cellphone before she looked at the weapons, not really paying attention to what the others were up to, and barely giving a notice to the high damage assault weapons Miles was picking up.

"Well, now I wish I took my daddy up on his offer to teach me fencing." She sighed, fingering a slender rapier. She distastefully looked at Aido. "You aren't seriously expecting me to kill anyone myself, are you? If I'm getting this right, you all are assassins, and you screwed up enough that you needed a second chance. And you screwed up big time to get a novice like me, didn't you?" she smirked, twisting the metaphorical knife in the wound. "Tell me, how did you mess up? Did you, gasp shock and awe, fail to kill a target? Or maybe someone on your team betrayed you. You act high and mighty but really you're scared. Whatever you're getting out of this might be lost if you don't succeed. But then why would a devil like Lucifer keep a scared little failure like you? Does he think that the price you're paying is worth the reward?" She was really getting into the abusive talk now, warming up to tearing his coldness' defenses down.

"What would be worth so much-" then the thought came to her. A mysterious smile appeared on her face. "Ah. You're probably one of those guys who has a sweet heart that he's trying to save, is that right?" she laughed and skipped off towards the door. "That's just perfect. A leader who has his heart stolen! I wonder, would that make you a heartless coward?"

She left through the door, looking back over her shoulder and asking the room in a sweet voice, "Torture weapons are found down in the armory, right? Well, I'll find out. Be back soon!" she said, laughing down the hall, half expecting everyone to jump up and kill her. At least then she'd really know if any of them had the gall to stand up to her and her real weapon: Words.

"So was she going for the angry cheerleader tear down right there? I mean it was annoying as hell but, then again, words haven't been able to hurt me for a long time..." Cathy said, trailing off. She glanced at the scars on her arm and gave a shrug. "Don't let the poison princess bother you Aido."

She thought about going to the armory but with her collection of knives and her new swords, which she'd picked two of, she didn't think she needed anymore. She did seriously entertain the idea of holding a scalpel to Eva's throat, if only for the amusement it would bring.

Aido didn't even growl. Instead he decided to just teach her a lesson. He snapped his fingers and the moister around him solidified instantly and he sent the freezing blast into the hall freezing the ground and walls. He walked steadily out across the frozen floor without faulter and siezed Eva by the wrist.

"You are in my domain now, so learn to wise up. Our mission failed because most of the team flaked! Cathy and I are the only two who finished our lists. everyone else ran off on personal agendas. If I hadn't finished my list I would have been forced to watch my bride be tortured for eternity! And if we fail because you don't wanna get dirty, I'll kill you and everyone on your list myself. I won't let anything happen to Anna or her family. So learn your place here as the novice." Aido snarled at her and began to freeze, shattering his glasses with the sudden drop in tempurature, allowing his eyes to burn fully with rage.

"Anna's her name, huh? I think I like her already," she said sweetly, unintimidated by his rage. "And don't worry, Ice Queen. I'll do my job and you'll live happily ever after with Anna. Now, if you'll let go of my arm, I'd like to go get some weapons more suited to my skills." She jerked her wrist from his grip, a teasing smile on her face, and she marched down to the armory.

Aido spit on the ground in front of Eva and made it freeze before she stepped on the patch. "It's Mr. Freeze, Prima Dona...." Aido mumbled as he walked past her to grab his favorite sword.

Eva stepped on the sheet of ice and didn't slip, much too used to slippery stages to notice. She slipped into the armory and began looking for something suited to her skills.

Aido went to a blank area in the back and pressed his palm on the blank wall. it then opened to reveal Aido's personal items. He then grabbed a solid white katana, still cold from his last use, and a set of crystal throwing knives.

"Clever little spider, besides I did finish my list, just took my time can't rush artwork, and you guys were in a coma so who was there to stop me, and with all that collateral damage things of beauty." Miles again picked up the hand cannon Aido gifted him.

"I appreciate the weaponry Aido but don't get hot under the collar doesn't suit you that's what Kaden's here for besides if she ruins my fun I'll show you how to pull the legs off a spider." Casting off his aim for a moment zeroing in on a chandelier and BLAM!!

"Damn I loves this thing, and how many boxes of ammodo you have for this?"

Eva emerged from wherever she was hiding from with a simple very small purse.

"Spider? That's a nice description, 'Snake'," she replied. "Don't worry about me getting in your way, Miles. I only try to eat the people who are too stupid to get caught in my webs."

Kaden hadn’t left the room to change. Feeling he had nothing to hide Kaden simply walked behind the group, turned his back to them, and changed while they talked. The irony of an invincible man wearing a Kevlar vest didn’t escape Kaden who smiled as he dressed.

Once dressed Kaden, still silent strolled out and towards the armory. While others discussed how they had failed last time, Kaden knew he was different. Kaden hadn’t failed in that he didn’t kill a target, he failed because he moved to escape his contract with the devil. Looking about the armory Kaden found the weapons we was most comfortable with quickly. Two double-barreled shotguns, a magnum, and a Rambo style knife were quickly loaded up. Pausing for a second to look around the room Kaden frowned and left. Moving through the mansion that was near familiar in a former life to what was not a weapons room, but a shed. Firing up a saw Kaden trimmed the barrel of both of the shotguns. Seemingly satisfied with his derringer sized, butt stocked shotguns, Kaden rummaged through the room for a file. Stopping to pick up a hatchet as he left.

Rolling back in to the meeting room, filing the inside of the barrels as he thought Eva might file her nails Kaden took in all that he had missed quickly. Replacing the magnum with the odd revolvers Aido had supplied, Kaden looked at Eva with the casually disappointed father look that seemed to come with having a child of your own. “Whore,” he started as though it were her name, “we are not the people to threaten or to try to work against.” To illustrate this he put his shotgun in his mouth while summoning his crimson halo and pulled the trigger. Spitting metal grit onto the floor he paused unintentionally. Not being a man for words Kaden would sometimes need to pause to get his words in order. “You may not like me, you may hate me as much as I hate you, but you will learn to work with us, or you will be put in to the deepest darkest hell you can imagine.” Not being a man to much play with words or use idle threats, the girl should have taken his advice.

"Whoever said I hated any of you?" Eva asked, surprised that he came out and said it. "If I do anything to upset you, I'm merely testing your resolve and ability to stay cool under pressure. Please tell me when I go too far, won't you?"

She sighed. "I will never know how I became the villain in this little group." She opened her purse and instead of pulling out a nail file, she pulled out a black handle. Her wrist flicked and the handle extended into a long baton. The sound of static filled the room.

"I may be the little 'cheerleader' and 'whore' in this little business, but I'll remind you. 'Mommy's little girls' don't go to hell."

"Give it a rest Kaden, leave the little Spider be I like her more than you, think you can kill me before your Iron man spell wares off?" Miles grinned from across the room, it would be an interesting fight, only Kaden's powers had a time limit, Miles' didn't.

"I usually never use the word, but he's a slight bit Emo these days, the whole tortured soul routine." Explaining to Eva just begging for Kaden to go off like the time bomb he was.

"Ah ha. I understand," she said, nodding and smiling sweetly. She flicked her wrist and the electric staff collapsed into the handle and she calmly put it in her purse again.

"Well, no use to get upset over such things. It looks like we all have our own little weapons ready. Why doesn't the Ice Queen start things up?"

Aido twitched slightly at the 'Ice Queen' comment. He reached for a water pitcher on the table and forced the water toward Eva, shattering the glass and soaking her before making it freeze. "It's Mr. Tovaras to you. I take it that everyones ready to go, so if you will follow me to the choppers we'll be off. Cathy you and Rachel are riding with me in Merlot's chopper. Al will drop the rest of you off in the secondary chopper." Aido pressed his hand on the wall and slid the hidden door over to reveal the elevator.
