The Great Sims 3 Lot Building Contest: Part I

HELLO FELLOW SIMMERS!!!

I will be running several of these Sims 3 contests within the next few months.

This first contest is a lot (house) building contest.

You must construct a lot in the Sims 3 based around the theme of WATER!!!!!

The contest ends on 12th July at 23:59 GMT time.


RULES
-You may only submit one entry.
-You must post a screenshot of each floor constructed.
-At least FIVE screenshots must be posted.
-Voting will be in a poll form after the closing date of the contest.
-Lots are expected to be inkeeping with the theme, lots that are wildly different to the theme will be dropped from the final voting.

How to take screenshot:
1. Make sure F-Lock is off.
2. Press PrtScn button on keyboard.
3. Open MSPaint.
4. Go to Edit>Paste.
5. Your picture should be opened in MSPaint
6. Save your Screenshot.

I tried to mimic water everywhere I could, from the roof to the walkway, which is curvy. Yeah, that was intentional.

The second floor is intended to be a more private area with the master bedroom and kids bedroom.

First floor, part one. The first floor is more of a party floor. I tried to mimic water here, too. The only walls on the entire first floor are the ones around the guest bathroom. Other than that, each room flows into the next.

First floor, part two. I used as much blue and tan as I could, so it looked like water and sand.

I had a lot of fun with this, though it took me forever! I don't even want to say how long. >.>

Oh yeah, and while you're playing the game, you can just push the "c" key to take a screenshot. The game puts it in a folder and you don't have to do anything else. Makes it a lot easier.

I think there is something wrong with your album.
It wont let me view it and says the link to the album is broken.
It doesnt even show up with a thumbnail picture on the "all albums" tab.

Took so long because: A-I scrapped 3 different houses I started building.
B- I was trying to get the roof to show and couldn't.
C-I couldn't get a family rich enough to move into it and couldn't get rid of ALL the grid lines.

My sims sometimes hates me.

How did you get so many Sims that look alike? Was that a cheat?

Binkx, I had the same problem you did with the grids, so I took one of my Sims and used a cheat (http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/the-sims-3/cheats-guides-faqs/g-20061106113750640058) to give her enough money to move in. :D

Yes I'm sure. And I hit page up till it won't go up anymore. Roofs just won't show when i build the house and that makes me sad. They show on the other houses and lots.

No, you can clone sims when you create a family. There's a button to make him/her again towards the bottom near where you choose to make another sim. It's handy if you want identical people for no reason whatsoever.

Prank, not a cheat. When you create a sim you can click on the little box with his or her face at the bottom of the screen. You'll have the options to delete, upload, or clone (which includes clothing, traits, and favorites).

It's useful if you're me and want to forcibly fill Jaradyne's town with over 60 Rick Astleys who, appropriately enough, all aspire to take over the free world.
