What is your favorite BBQ staple (e.g., hot dogs, corn on the cob, kabobs)?

Answer this question in this thread on Monday, July 4th (Independence Day) between the hours of 12:00am and 11:59pm EDT (US) to earn this little guy for your profile!:

Although I love anything and everything BBQ, I think my favorite BBQ staple would be the chili cheese dog. Mmm...

Definitely hot dogs, with all the heartbursty stuff.

Ribs are a close second.

Hotdogs or cheeseburgers. Not fussy. Oddly enough though us brits don't celebrate July 4th. We should - we finally got rid of you! :p Heh, just kidding, but still we do need more holidays (read: excuses to stuff ourselves with food and alcohol).

Steak! Hotdogs and corn-on-the-cob are all good, but nothing is quite as American as a slab o' meat the size of your face.

Alternately my favorite is whatever they've got at the park where the Marines band will be playing tomorrow. :D

Hot dogs and cheeseburgers. For me it just doesn't feel like a proper barbecue without both being present.

I love myself a good burger or a bratwurst. Hot dogs are OK, but not a favorite.

Melons and fresh fruit salads are also a must and add a good splash of color!

Potato salad goes well with everything too :D

Grilled bratwursts and corn on the cob is the best lol...but Bane makes a really mean grilled rack of ribs.

I was wondering when you brits were gonna complain about the 4th of July artifact! :p

It's definitely a great time to have a holiday, since otherwise the summer months are pretty empty in the holiday department.

A rack of barbecued ribs is great and I love burgers and hot dogs, but my favorite would have to be potato salad :D

Bratwursts, brisket, and potato salad are my top three, in that exact order.

ANYthing I put on the grill is gold. :beerchug:

But seriously, If I had to choose...grilled steak (sirloin or T-bone), potato salad, corn on the cob, and fruit smoothie :D

An hour remains if you want to receive the artifact for Fourth of July 2011. Posts in this thread after 11:59pm EDT (US) will not count, and you will not have another chance to receive this particular artifact.

Corn on the cob! I also love coleslaw because it makes a great chip dip!
