View Full Version : Movies You Hate

Title is self-explanatory. What movies out there failed so bad that you cringed? Why did they make you cringe?
I myself detested The Village, for the horrible ending. I hate it when movies make you think they're fantasy related, or similar whatnot, and end up slapping you in the face with something completely mundane (*coughMaxPaynecough*).

Lady in the Water, for basically the same reason... Wait, what's wrong with this picture?

Twilight. Dear god no.
My mother made me watch it.
One scene all the sudden the girl is in her panties and they're like, dry humping. I jumped up and was like "WHERE THE F--K DID HER PANTS GO, SERIOUSLY?!".
Terrible teenage stereotype right there. Terrible.

O rite, Blood N Chocolate. I mean I was drunk as fuck at the time and on occasion, I can be a foul drunk. But I remember being so offended at how seriously such a bad movie was taking itself and being frustrated at not being able to tell if the footage seemed to be literally glowing because of the alcohol or if really was supposed to look like a bad episode of CSI Miami... episode.

Mission Impossible 3, right now in my "haze" it's the only movie I can remember coming out of going "WHY THE FUCK WAS I FORCED TO PAY FOR THIS?!"
Why you might ask? Because to me it just wasn't fun and it was a weird ass kind of family movie, I totally expect from this movie to see next in the series to include Tom Cruise working with his character's kids.
Also I didn't like Brokeback Mountain, I didn't hate it but I just did not like it. I couldn't get into. A lot of things were just off.

To chime in on the M. Night Shamalamadingdong portion of this thread: The Happening. (We managed to watch it without having an aneurism...and none of us got t-shirts)
Followed closely by the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds. Amazing how the kid runs off to fight the aliens, and magically appears in Boston in the only untouched part of town, with his mom...who had time to DO HER MAKEUP. HELLO? Alien attacks?? Did we forget vaporizing humans? Oh, wait...maybe that's what was in her blush.

What was wrong with Titanic?
too long and it didn't give the real event that took place any real respect by making it about some chick who finds a young boy to play with and run away with. I saw the history channel story on it in school and when I saw the movie, it just made me cringe because it just did not do the whole tragedy justice, it just made it into some sappy love story

Kibakichi Bakko Vokaiden, stupid concept, stupid acting, just all around gut wrenching. I agree with Titanic as well, 4 hour love stories do not amuse me.

Napoleon Dynamite. I HATE HATE HATE this movie. Add about a few thousand more hates. I don't think explanation is all that necessary.
In fact I hate all of today's comedies. Step Brother and all of that garbage. What happened to comedy being an actual art form? Now you just have to act like a stoned 13 year old boy to get laughs from the masses. No brains and no talent needed. It sickens me.

all the current run of so-called spoof movies that seem to deal with nothing more than fart, vomit, piss, and cheap sex jokes.
that and ALL of the Austin Powers movies simply because the character makes me cringe just from seeing the ads and hearing the cursed catchphrases over and over and over ad infinitum ad nauseamque.

I'm sorry, but it was like, more than ten fucking years ago. Everyone who wasn't in diapers when Titanic was in theaters has been out of school for at least a few years so really, it's kind of pointless to still be a hater. The only people who are going to call you a fag and a loser for admitting Titanic had some redeeming qualities are likely fags and losers themselves. That's what the "child-friendly" animated version is for. Yeah, there was an animated version.

"If it was not for you, I would be in someone elses digestion!" Yeah, dialogue like that is totally worth the constantly reused animation, cringe-worthy musical numbers, blatant ripoffs of Disney character designs, and complete denial of historical truth. Y'see, in this version, no one dies because there were plenty of lifeboats for everyone!

note the poster in the backgrounds that says "rap music"... just in case you weren't sure it's supposed to be rap music!
Yes, exporting your animation duties to 3rd world countries always yields such excellent results.... idiot(s).

I don't dislike movies in fear of what people will call me or how they will view me, I can give two shits, if I am a 'hater' cause I dislike the movie, meh, we are all haters then cause I bet money there are movies out there older than that one people can bring up that they cannot stand.

I hate pregnancy movies in general, except for Saved!, in which the hilariously laughable depiction of Christianity makes the whole thing worth it. In the case of teen pregnancy movies, I don't think it's cool to capitalize off something that really shouldn't happen. Forget the happy endings to Saved! and Juno, the reality doesn't roll credits...it keeps on going.
Anyone mentioned torture porn yet, like the Hostel and Saw series? It's not that I get squicky watching them...I just think they're awful movies.

I hate blatantly manipulative movies. What Dreams May Come is a good example of this. I think it's the only movie I've walked out of in recent memory.
Love Liza, while not quite the same thing, I hate for it making me depressed for like a week after watching it.

Wow... that was bad... really bad...
It sort of reminds me of watching cartoons that were made in Mexico. 90% were blantant rip-offs of US cartoons, only lamer...

The Love Guru - Plain out stupid, revolting, it was sick humor.
Meet the Spartans - A parody of 300, so i guess it was supposed to be bad but this was just...>.<
The Lake house - Not TERRIBLE, but it was really confusing.
Meet the Zohan - Worst movie i've ever seen in my entire life.
Many hours of my life I'll never get back.
