Ok, so I just saw a story where Pizza Hut recently unveiled it's app that allows people to order pizza from their iPhone without even dialing. Nothing new, you've been able to order pizza through the computer for years, but it made me think of what apps the world could use.

So this thread can be a two-parter. First, for iPhone owners, what's your favorite app currently available and why?

No. 2, what app could the world use that isn't currently available?

I don't own an iPhone, so question No. 1 is out for me. I would however be uber impressed if there was an app to wipe your butt. "iPhone TP", for when there is no roll or restroom. Available probably never. :D

I have a great idea for an app. It would allow you to talk into the phone's microphone and someone else on their iPhone would be able to hear you. And they could talk back, of course.

Each person would have some kind of unique identifier, like, say, a number. You could type in that number and their iPhone would alert them, probably with a sound or a ring or something. They could see who it is who wants to talk to them and they could allow the connection, and then have the conversation.

And if you didn't want to talk, the app would let them record a short message so they let you know why they called, or whatever.

I'm telling you, it would sell MILLIONS!

AT&T already created that app... and it costs 39.99 + 30 for the data plan... Expensive darn app, but not nearly as expensive as the useless 999.99 App that tells everyone your rich. :D

I LOVE my Iphone 3Gs... Fav app... thus far... Beejive is very usefull as it allows you to instant message without using ATT's text service. In short, it saves you money.

Next is...
Brushes (Finger painting with your Iphone!)
Itunes App
App store App... sort of self-explanitory...
I have a lunar cycle App with werewolf warning software... :P Damn thing keeps going off... :P

I have a Best Buy App and a Barns & Noble App... I even downloaded a Jacob Black (Wolf form) New Moon count down APP!!!! Most useless App EVER!

Yes folks, I have become an app whore... :D

Well, while I do not own an iPhone (yet) I would love to own one, as long as their monthly plan figure is actually what appears on your monthly bill, unlike my past cell phone plans...

As for an App that I'd like to have, it would probably have to be something along the lines of a general recommendation application. We all have moments in day-to-day life that brings up questions about things that we just aren't too sure about, wouldn't it be nice to consult someone on whatever it is? For example, feeling slightly nauseated and feeling tired of symptom? Then consult the App and it would recommend a few things that could be done to relieve the symptom.

I don't have an iPhone, but I have a BlackBerry and we've got basically the same stuff. The app I definitely use the most now is TeleNav GPS navigator, it's incredibly useful for when I get the urge to travel and just leave without any sort of plan.

In line with my own combined interests in random spontaneous traveling and surprises, the app I would make would be a GPS navigator that randomly sends you somewhere without telling you where you're going. As in, you hit a button on the app and it chooses from a randomized list of traveling locations gives you the directions one line at a time until you're there.
