These will be revised as the need strikes. If you've got a suggestion for the rules, PM GhostBat.
Rule One: Make sure your profile is complete the first time you post it.
Once you've done all your powers/weapons/whatnot, that's it.
Rule Two: Do not control another character unless you have been given permission by that character's writer.
If this occurs, there will be a warning. Further breaking of this rule will result in a ban from that game.
Rule Three: No TPK (total party kills) or CK (Character-killing).
It's clear that you'd be upset if someone just randomly off'd your RP-avatar for the game, so don't do it to anyone else's. If you do, it will result in a ban from that game.
Rule Four: LARP characters need depth.
LARP is notorious for Mary/Marty/Gary-Sues. These are shallow, 2D characters who are the best in everything they do, extremely hot and attractive, have scars all over their body that don't distract from said hotness. They use katanas without even knowing what country the sword was first crafted in. Have supa-powers and a lady's man if male; and if female, they can seduce anyone, anywhere, even a straight-laced nun. You make one of these whiny-emo characters, you will be issued a warning. This isn't fantasy land, this is "Hey, let's write up a round-robin like story together". Make the character have some depth.
Rule Five: The Creator of the RP thread you are posting in has the overall say underneath the Admins.
If they say "No, that race/power/class isn't allowed" then it ISN'T ALLOWED. If you derail the game and they talk to an Admin about it, it will result in a ban from that game.
Rule Six: Keep OOC to the LARP Discussion or in OOC threads for RP sign-ups/planning.
Rule Seven: We're all here to have fun.
If you're doing anything to spoil the threads for others, you can potentially get banned from that game or from this section of the site for 2 weeks/forever.
Rule Eight: Absolutely NO teenage pregnancy threads/LARP/whatnot. No underage characters involved in adult activities. No explicit sex scenes. You want hardcore smut, take it to PM. Any of these in the threads and you're banned from the LARP section for 2 weeks/forever. No warning.
Rule Nine: Each threadstarter is allowed three active LARPs at a time.
Keep the creative attentions on threads already active; don't go ADHD on the forum and create a new LARP every other day just because you're bored.
An active LARP thread is one that the last post was made LESS than two weeks ago. Otherwise, the threadstarter can PM GhostBat after a week of inactivity and request that their old RP thread be locked/closed, so they can create a new one.
If you -want- a fourth LARP, then put some effort into it besides a paragraph and "go!", otherwise it's deleted.
