Number 3 is my favorite. Because at least if you do not follow through on the first two, you still have to be responsible for the choices you make as you do with the consequences of those choices. It does no good to play a martyr or act defensive. Embrace what was bad, learn, readjust or fix and then grow.

I enjoyed seeing 4, 7, and 11 on the list.

Those are excellent words to live by. I love the Dalai Lama; who wouldn't want to take advice from someone who always looks so happy?

I this this. They are all very good. :) I LOVE number 5: Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

He forgot disarming atomic bombs to save towns built in craters.

I could not help myself. :p

But in all seriousness, 13 has got to be my number one favorite. I don't think I can count how many arguments between my parents escalated when mom started digging crap up from 30+ years ago.

Just for the record, the 14th Dalai Lama is kind of a dick who wants to reimpose a strict religious rule over Tibet. Also, for someone who supposedly advocates for peace, tolerance and harmony, he has a somewhat hypocritical stance on sexuality and how an autonomous "democratic" Tibet ought to be run.

Personally, I like 14. Must be why I'm studying to be a teacher.
