I just got done watching this movie. I do not recommend it for either the horror lover or werewolf movie lover.
What follows might be considered a spoiler, but honestly, it's so rotten you can't spoil it.
It's about a new fellow who moves to town, kills some pedo guy and then takes his home. Next door is a teenage girl with nothing better to do than scope the guy out through his window. In her peekings she is lead to believe he is a werewolf, complete with hairy palms. (I thought that was a sign of masturbation, not lycanthropy, but I could be wrong)
Anyway, the werewolf guy bites the friend and he becomes a part werewolf/part human retard. Ah, and every time the werewolf was around, a mysterious fog appeared. Apparently werewolves now have the ability to create fog from their ass.
Ultimately everyone gets bit, girl kills neighbor werewolf guy and then there's a heavenly glow right before he explodes.
Putting it mildly, it made "Cursed", with Christina Ricci, look good.
Perhaps I should have taken it as a warning when it listed Kevin Sorbo as an actor in the movie...

Ah, Klark, did you happen to see this terrible movie on SciFi? I know I did, and I must say it was...well, it was terrible.
Kevin Sorbo, what happened to you? Well, wait a minute once more, you were terrible to begin with as well. :D

No, alas I bought it at a yard sale for a dollar. I'd want a refund, but they can't give me back my soul.

could you provide a link to the movie? The only thing that comes up when I type that title in is this :( :
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086005/

It's here if you really want to torture yourself. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1135933/)
Here's the wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Cry_Werewolf) on it. The wiki says it's Fright Night with werewolves instead of vampires, but I liked Fright Night and didn't feel the need to gargle my eyeballs in Listerine after watching it. Then again, I haven't seen Fright Night in ages.

I think I have seen that cover before and wasn't crazy about something I read or saw on the back so I never rented it

I thought "Never Cry Wolf" was that movie about the colledge kids that invent a psycho and then it comes true. Or was that just "Cry Wolf"?

I don't know, but please read the title of this thread carefully. It says "Never Cry Werewolf" not "Never Cry Wolf".

"Cry Wolf" is the stupid horror film... "Never Cry Wolf" is actually a very good movie based upon a book about a zoologist who goes into the wild and lives with wolves, and is eventually accepted into a pack.
"Never Cry Werewolf" as Klark stated is what the thread is about...
Thank you Klark for sparing me from this film, although I tend to TRY and avoid horrible werewolf movies. Cursed was an accident... I promise!
Once I am finished editing HOD, I will have to let you read it. It will at least (HOPEFULLY) bring back part of your lost soul.

Kind of a cop out for a discussion.
Yeah there are a lot of bad movies out there? But why are they bad, what are they in relation to this movie?

J.L.R., I don't have full membership yet, but when I do, would you mind PMing me about this Hour of Darkness. It sounds good, but I have know idea what it's about other than it has wolf folk. That's enough to intice me.
On topic. Dude, Never Cry Werewolf was so terrible that I couldn't stop watching it. I wanted to see if there would be some kind of banner or pop up that would say "Just messin' wit ya." Never happened. It's the type of movie you watch immediately before committing suicide.

I think I'll stick with Dog Soldiers.

Dog Soldiers is a pretty good werewolf film, if only because it is REALLY a zombie movie in disguise.
Getting back on topic though...
My greater curiosity is, what leads a us to take that terrible and unhealthy chance at watching a really bad movie. I mean, there are movies that look promising because of the trailers and then turn out to be turds, but then there are movies that... you KNOW are going to be really bad.
Never Cry Werewolf should have screamed "I SUCK" because it had Kevin Sorbo in it. C'mon... It is like finding a good stand alone, Dulf Lungrin movie. It isn't possible.
Werewolf films seem to be especially plagued by these turds more than any other genre, well not unless you count all the junk the spills out of the Halmark Channel, but as they technically are the SAME story being retold over and over again... I don't count it. I year next year they are going to start shooting their second original screenplay.
I mean people can't have any expectations when you see a title like, "Dark Wolf" COME ON... who in the hell would want to be called Dark Wolf... :beerchug: being a bit sarcastic there DW. :D The cover art is bad enough. Bloods Vs. Wolves... Wolves of Walstreet... these titles aren't winners, and to be honest, neither are the movies.
So why do we torture ourselves with crap? I don't...at least not any more. I have healthily avoided direct-to-video sci-fi/horror movies pretty well the last several years...

After watching this movie, I felt like I wanted to pick up my DVD/VCR player and throw it down the stairs. 0 out of 5 stars for this movie, the title of this movie should have been Shit (excuse my French).
To be truthful, I don't think I've ever seen a good Werewolf movie, except maybe Silver Bullet, but that wasn't the best either.

I have healthily avoided... And then there was Netflix Instant Streaming, or as I like to call it, Netflix Instant Eye Rape.

You do know that you can avoid the torture by simply not watching these films? :D

Did anyone notice the main character's girl friend said "ewwww!" when the werewolf gutted her? Chriz and I loled.
