Since the site did its best impersonation of the Demo-man, sending my beloved thread into oblivion, I figured I'd start it back up.
Anyway...what is everyone playing at the moment?
---
I myself have gone back to Armored Core Formula Front. I'm really getting a hang of AI design, my best is a two-legged heavy, and I'm willing to divulge my design if anyone wants to know.
I've also been playing F-Zero GX, I finally managed to beat story mode, so...yay!
Anyway...what is everyone playing at the moment?
Hmm.. let's see, on the PC I'm currently working my way very slowly through Dawn of War II, and on the 360 the missus and I just got Guitar Hero: Metallica so we're rawking out to that one :)

I'm playing a few games. On the PC it's the Sims 2 (till tomorrow, w00t!)
On the Wii I'm hitting up with some Wii Music to relax and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World(which is getting on my nerves).
DS: Pokemon Diamond. Not gonna lie, I like the pokemon games.
Gamecube: Zelda and the Ocarina of Time and Baiton Kratos

I tried Guitar Hero once...it just didn't jive for me.

Also, which dungeon are you currently at in Legend of Zelda OoC?
Last bit...I haven't played any of the newer Pokemon games on the DS, last one I played was Ruby. Basically, what I'm asking is are they any good?

At the moment, I'm not really playing anything. I'm more waiting to hear from the Kojima Production teaser site if I need to buy a 360 for the new MGS:Rising game or if I'll be okay with my PS3.
However, to keep relevant to the topic, I just finished Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3 yesterday for the 15th time? ;)

In Zelda, I just recently got OoT for the GC recently when I found it at a pawn shop so I'm only at Dodongo's Cavern getting the Fire Stone . I haven't played it since Middle School so it's nice to play it again. Master Quest is <3.
I like the new pokemon games. You can travel the underground with friends over Wireless communications and set traps that involve the DS mic and touch screen to get rid of, plus you can make those Poffin things either by yourself or with friends over wireless. I heard from a few friends that with Platnium that you can make poffins over WiFi as well. And with wifi you can also battle friends anywhere. Over all I like it and it doesn't muck too much with the basic pokemon game set up. Plus trading with people all over the world is nice, makes getting the hard to get pokemon a bit easier to get.

As for Pokemon, I guess I'll have to knick/buy a copy when it enters a suitable price range.
Speaking of DS games, I've been screwing around with Custom Robo Arena...currently looking for gold for Marv's parrot.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. The "Solid" storyline was just an story arch in the Metal Gear line.
Currently I'm playing Zen Pinball and MK vs. DC.

I know very little about the Metal Gear games, to be brutally honest...
As for MK vs DC...I didn't think it'd be possible to tone down the gore, and yet still have a Mortal Kombat game...though I'm more of a Robo Pit fan myself when it comes to fighting games.

Right now I'm hitting up the Gamecube classics.
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Just finished Twilight Princess
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
And I'm looking around for Phantasy Star Online: Episode I and II for the Gamecube. This game was unbelievably amazing and I lost my copy. A brand new one costs 110 dollars so I'm looking everywhere for it.

PSO...so much time spent/wasted with that digital crack. Check around the local pawn shops, as stores like Gamestop probably wouldn't carry it used due to the key-number required for online play (which is defunct, aside from private servers).
If all else fails, then shell out the hundred bucks+ for it, just make sure you don't get a faulty copy if it's used.
As for the games you've been playing, I approve, those are all fun, especially Gauntlet Dark Legacy, go TWN300!
Halo custom edition bootleg that a few friends gave to me. a lot of cool new weapons and map edits I've got Halo for both the Xbox and PC, and I had been meanin' to look at some of the mods for it, yet I misplaced my PC copy...oh where oh where could my little PC copy be?

I truly don't mean to infringe upon the topic here, but I really didn't think creating a new thread just on this one topic would be too smart...
I have a friend whose been trying to play Sims 3 since she bought it on launch day, however, she can't seem to get it running. It's installed and everything, but a disc authentication error keeps coming up...
So, in essence, has anyone here who is currently enjoying the game know anything about this problem, or possibly have found a way around this?
Thanks,

Same here, although I've still been relying on D2 to staunch my cravings for D3. And while I didn't buy every damn expansion pack like I know a lot of people did for Sims 2, I'm really liking Sims 3 and looking forward to more content (especially since hairstyles and clothes for dudes seem particularly sparse.)
Also, while I don't generally like CAD, that's a surprisingly accurate portrayal. In my defense though, I don't myself and my GF as sims, now I use our friends. Man do their sims act pretty much the way they act in real life. Also, I've started a House House, with the cast of House (pre-third season shake-up.)
@Raiden: what sort of system is she running? Also, has she tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Or just uninstalling and reinstalling on a different computer? That would at least determine if it was the program/disc or just her comp.

Shane Isn't that on the PSP? Or is it a PS2 game? Forgive my ingorance, I just rarely pay attention to the MGS games. On 360 I've been playing alot of Halo 3, Fable 2, and Assasin's Creed. <3 Assisan's Creed.

This may take a few weeks for me to get over this obsession. The Sims...only part of that series I somewhat enjoyed was Sim City 2000/3000, I can't remember the exact title...all I know is this, my poor, poor city always, and I mean always went into debt.I didnt realise red faction guerilla wa sout yet.
Im getting it .
Im playing Unreal III and Crysis (with EVERYTHING, on high) Wait...your computer is the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey?!
Crysis jokes aside, I can't remember if it was UT 2003 or 2004 that I've been looking for...I've got a really neat mod for it...all I lack is the game.
Also...I regret to say since my Xbox duffed and when my brother is on the PC, im playing
... Pokemon:Colosseum Y'know what I didn't like about Pokemon: Colosseum? The fact that you could choose between level fifties and one-hundreds. That, and the battles were insane, even with my level one-hundred Charizard, Killer!
Yes...its name is Killer, I wasn't very original with names back then.
---
Huge wall-o-text later...I've been killin' time with Airs-ehh... I mean Mercenaries Two: World in Flames.
The story is like a cheesy, over the top hollywood action film...yet it works so well with the game. I just wish the codes would work...I was looking forward to the idea of infinite airstrikes, yet, I am without said never ending airstrikes...thus I am a sad panda.

It's actually on the PS3. Don't worry, I understand. I remember back when I was younger and would spend hours watching a friend of mine play the previous games in the series. I thought it looked so boring, but after purchasing my PS3 that came with MGS4, I became an amazingly huge fan, especially of a certain cyborg ninja that people love to hate. ;)

What Raiden said...about the Diablo series, I never played it before...and I have been meaning to get a new PC game. So, what I'm asking is this: Is it any fun?
Diablo 2 is by far one of the better free-roaming RPGs I've played, even being a few years old.
Blizzard made some good stuff back in the day.
Anyways, I've been playing Dwarf Fortress lately, and was actually wondering if anyone else played it. So does anyone?
Other than that, I'm replaying Golden Sun and The Lost Age in anticipation of Golden Sun DS. I think that game will eat me alive if I can get my hands on it.

Playing a little Soul Calibur 4 on Xbox 360. And it was an epic day today for I finally defeated the Tower of the Lost Souls. Floor 57-59were the hardest in the game. Nine enemies in a row only using two characters...yeah, that was hard. But my duo team of Sophitia and Amy took the jokers to town and Azgul (or whatever his name is) as the final boss was nothing compared to the previous level. Mothership Zeta was similar to Operation Anchorage in that once you start the quest line, you can't stop until you finish it. Its pretty linear, and its just a few hours of alien killing and some new alien guns which (thankfully) don't amount to the Alien Blaster, although the rifle seems a little overpowered. I will admit since I liked melee in that game that the Samuri Armour is pretty cool, although I think the only way to get it is to kill the innocent Japanese guy, which isn't part of the quest line.
So no I wouldn't recommend Zeta, get Broken Steel and Point Lookout if you haven't already.
And that's actually interesting you mentioned Fable 2 since I just bought it. Will you rant with me on how much the co-op sucks ass?
I'm currently rocking my way through Brutal Legend.
There's something very therapeutic about kicking the crap out of demons while Black Sabbath plays in the background.

I've hopped the train to Killzone-ville with Killzone 2 being my primary means of gaming entertainment.
I'm digging the pistol matches, just as I did in the first Killzone. I highly recommend it, and we have a small ww.com clan going on with me, Raiden and Necro all in the same clan. Now if only we could time our excursions so we could lay the smack down together, that would be awesome.

I concur. So yes this.
Also, I have given up on D2 for a while and am now playing Titan's Quest (and the expansion Immortal Throne,) which is basicially D2 with better graphics and without a lot of annoying things about Diablo (no Deckard Cain to identify things, they are auto-identified, and no more portal scrolls, you can throw one up whenever.) Plus it uses ancient Greek, Chinese and Egyptian mythology as its base. You can get it on Steam for hella cheap ($15 I think.)

I only have my portables right now so i've been sinking a lot of time into Class of Heroes. It's less brutal than wizardry, but now and then you still have your theif misidentify a trap and your whole party dies in an instant.

Without trying to spark too much debate on platforms, should I get Borderlands on PC or 360? It seems there are quite a few pros and cons for each.
EDIT: Never mind, I bought it for PC. Runs fine so far (although I haven't tried out multi-player yet.)

This game is cool..! I haven't been able to play much cause of the writing, but what I have played is just awesome. It's a tough game though. Once your character starts leveling up, man the opponents get stupid hard. One bad thing: I've been reading about some of the glitches and well, I've run into one. I just hope I don't run into some of the others. Like: Losing all your achievements after finishing a certain boss. Not cool, when it takes so much to get anywhere in this game. Unless, you don't give a shit like I do and just play the game for the sheer pleasure of "F"-ing things up!!!!:D

I've been playing Magna Carta for the PS2.
The graphics thus far get an A++.
But the storyline could use a bit more focus and the character's voices are strange.
Either way, its a must-play.

Right now, Ghostbusters, I'm glad they used the real voices instead of others. Interesting enemies and battle system only somethings could have been better. But soon really soon....Dragon Age.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for PSP. I ended up starting over again after feeling like I did everything wrong and decided to be a gunner rather than a blade master. So far, so good. :)

Borderlands: My daughter and I are at level 14. At this point unless you're on multi-player with at least 4 team-mates it's best to just run to your objective and kill what you can on the way... cause holy-smoke! There are some bad dudes out there...LOL!!!

Being an un-employed bum, I have to wait for Christmas to play this as I can't afford it. Believe me, I hate myself for it. But yeah, can't wait to get a bit of multiplayer going. It looks intense.

Dude, I hear you, believe me. I traded in a few of my games to bring the price on this gem down to $15 for me. Because of the awesomeness of this game, I no longer own Killzone 2 (worth it, trust me), Ninja Gaiden 2 (owned it, in all senses of the phrase) and Battlefield: Bad Company (it along with KZ2 didn't seem to like allowing me to utilize multi-player). While I'm down to only owning like four PS3 games now, including Modern Warfare 2, I still have others out there like Assassin's Creed 2, Tekken 6 and Bayonette that will be bought in the future.

Being broke and therefore unable to afford a next gen console, I've been playing older stuff. Pokemon Red for GBA, American McGee's Alice on the PC, Ocarina of Time (Zelda) on the Gamecube and I also picked up Zone of the Enders for £1 at CEX (I bloody love that shop).
I don't think much really needs to be said about Pokemon. I had to restart and wave goodbye to my level 20 Magikarp and level 60 Charizard because I forgot to pick up the flute. I picked Bulbasaur this time round.
I've wanted to play Alice since it first came out but only got hold of a copy a few months ago. I wish I'd played it much sooner - a twisted Wonderland is much more to my tastes than any fluffy cotton woolly cheese Disney can produce. I have just been knocked out by the Hatter and I'm having a little trouble figuring out where to go next.
I borrowed OOC off a friend who insisted that I play Zelda - actually it's a collector's edition with Majora's Mask, a demo of the Windwaker and some of the older games thrown in too. I absolutely love it. The storyline is perfect fantasy, it looks gorgeous despite the dated graphics and the music is wonderful. I'm stuck at the waterfalls - haven't quite figured out what to do yet.
ZoE is another one I've wanted to play for ages. It's a pretty game, and even though they look like they're compensating for something, it's a lot of fun operating a mecha. The storyline is a bit cheesy (I think Hideo Kojima might have had a Neon Genesis Evangelion marathon before working on it) but not to the point where you couldn't give a crap. I've gone up the central lift shaft.

You mean the falls at the end of Zora's river or the falls inside Zora's domain?
Playing Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube. Just out of curiosity, is there anyone on this site who actually finished that game...or played it at all?

Currently playing Star Trek online and shooting at Klingons and Romulans which is fun.
Also got Settlers 7 for a bit of building stuff and watching little people fun.
Bought my missus Sonic and Sega Megastars Racing thingie which has proved to be a right laugh multiplayer cause we're both properly competitive about it.
Recently completed Fallout 3 and all of its expansions - and got all the Live Achievements for it as well.

At the moment I am working on finishing off the achievements for Modern Warfare 2 as well as reaching level 70 1st prestige. I doubt I am gonna prestige again any time soon. Then back to Fallout 3 to try and top off those achievements.
I also dabble in Halo Wars and Rock Band from time to time.

I picked up CC a while ago actually - I didn't realise how much of a co-op game it should be but I ploughed through it for a little bit by myself. I haven't played it for a while though.

As you can imagine, I'm uber excited for that to come out due to finally having another MGS game to play and also for the build up to what is sure to be an awesome game, known as Metal Gear Solid Rising.

At the moment, it's mainly the Extra-Ops in MGS: Peace Walker since I've beaten the main story portion of it. It's certainly on the same tier for me as MGS3 is.
Pick it up if you've got the PSP for it!

I've gone back to playing on my PS2. Generally, because there's not a lot of PS3 games out there right now I want, I don't have many, and don't have money to buy more anyway. Plus, I've had a major interest in ninjas lately and there's no >real< ninja games for PS3 (I don't count non-stealth "ninja" games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma and its ilk - Ninjas are stealth, assassination, and thievery not just walking forward and swinging a sword over and over!).
The main game I've been playing is Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven.
I've recently beaten, again, Tenchu: Fatal Shadows.

Through my vast powers of necromancy I am resurrecting this thread to talk about Skyrim! Seriously, this is possibly one of the best games I've played in a while (certainly the best Bethesda game yet.) I mean that seriously; I haven't played a game for more than like 4 hours total in over a year, and over the past weekend I've played over 20 hours of this.
Oh and did I mention you can become a Werewolf (and/or a vampire)

What am I playing you ask? Skyrim is the answer!
Axe double-wielding is the best, although my favourite combo so far is the axe-flame spell combo, haven't fought a dragon yet, but, having played two of the previous Elder Scrolls, I can say this is very worthy of continuing the series, as well as I loved it when I learned you could be a werewolf, I'm well into the quest string to become one already.
