Rule One: Any and all adult contented or referenced poems MUST contain, at the very least, the words (Adult) in the thread's name.
This is a respectful and rather easy thing to accomplish, you will be warned for the first time and second time. After that, anything you post that contains adult material without (Adult) in the title will be deleted and you will be issued an infraction.

Rule Two: No personal attacks using poetry.
If you wish to use another site members name in your work, please make sure that you've asked their permission. If an Admin receives any complaint by the person named, it will be deleted.

Rule Three: Do NOT post poetry that is not your own.
Stolen poetry will not be tolerated in this forum. It is grounds for automatic deletion and an infraction. Of course, this should be common sense.

Rule Four: Do NOT start a fight in Poetry.
If you start a fight with another member or an Admin, you will be given a warning and the thread will be closed. If you begin again, you will be banned from the Poetry section for 15 days and issued an infraction. After that, you will have another try at behaving. Please keep all personal conversations and battles in the PM feature of the Werewolf.com Discussion Board.

Rule Five: If you are banned from the Werewolf.com Discussion Board, your work goes with it.
In other words, post anything to get yourself banned and there will be no legacy of you left behind in this forum.

Rule Six: You may post no more than three (3) poems per day.
By exceeding this limit, it shows a great lack of courtesy to the other writers who also post their work for it to be seen. Many people do not look past the first page, and while that is not your fault, it's still a courtesy to allow other writers to share the first page.

Rule Seven: Any posts or poems containing “u” for you and “r” for are and so forth will be deleted without warning.
This rule is your warning. We ask that you honor the art of poetry and use proper spelling to achieve this goal.

Spell Check (www.spellcheck.net) is a must! Thank you.

Rule Eight: No poems that replicate life journal entries are allowed.
If your poems are inspired by something in your life, that is fine, but don't post it the same day you wrote it. Give it time, edit it to make sure it's something that does not need explanation. They will start getting deleted if we see too many "this is about my ex/current/dead sister" poems. Poems are an artform that should be able to communicate something all by themselves. They don't do that if you have to explain. You are thus doing it wrong.

Rule Nine: Critique without content is STRONGLY discouraged.
Posts like "this is really good I like it!" is not appropriate. Discussions of the poems should be more helpful to the author's growth. Encouragement is definitely a great way to do that but so is telling them what they are doing wrong in a constructive manner. Saying a poem "sucks" is not helpful but explaining why it is not working and how to possibly fix it is.

Rule Ten: Try not to play favorites!
You going to critique intensely for one poem? Do it for all.
