Hey everyone,

Guilty Pleasures...

We all have them! So, how about it? Would you like to unveil your biggest music related guilty pleasure(s)?

For me, I'd have to say...

Creed - I'm a massive Mark Tremonti (guitarist) fan, and I cannot stand Scott Stapp's voice, but those soaring harmonies keep getting me. Keep in mind, I'll always like Alter Bridge more than Creed.

30 Seconds To Mars - I know, they're labeled an "emo band" but their songs are catchy to say the least. Then again, it might be because of this crush I had on a emo girl back then...:D

So, what say you?

30 Seconds to Mars :(
I dont like them....they whine...a lot, its pathetic.

But I'd have to say my biggest guilty pleasure is liking
Umbrella - Rihanna
If I were A Boy - Beyonce
One Way Or Another Blondie
The Best - Tina Turner
Holding Out For A Hero - Bonnie Tyler

They're good songs, and thats really why I like them.
Catchy and with great music :P

hamster dance song! it's sad I actually got it down pat where I can sing it and have a dance to go with it!! I heard it the first time while watching that video of the hamsters dancing and cracked up laughing and it's just stuck with me. Drives me so insane but gawd I sing it all the time...I love it

Okay, I admit it too...

The first time I heard "Disturbia" by Rihanna, I was hooked.

30 Seconds To Mars isn't a guilty peasure...it's simply pure pleasure! <3 Jared Leto

I have a secret spot for boy bands. When I'm going off the deep end in terms of anxiety or something like that, my playlist will suddenly sprout the likes of Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC. And then when life is good again, they disappear as quickly as they came.

The Gambler by Kenny Rogers, though I don't really feel guilty about it but it's not something you'd expect to belt out at random intervals like I do.

Anything Bon Jovi... :/

I have really grown musically from when I was a teenager I listen to alot of stuff that wouldn't have dared admitted to when i was 16 or so. I'm not really ashamed that I listen to them but some stuff that I listen to that might seem odd for me is:

Smokey Robinson
Bryan Adams
Richard Marx
Chicago
Eddie Money
Hall & Oates
Lifehouse
Fleetwood Mac

Oh and several random one hit wonder stuff from far back as the 60's up till the 90's

I also forgot to mention that not only do I like some Bryan Adams too, but I have small bouts of listening to things like Josh Groban and Michael Buble' from time to time.

My guilty pleasure has to be Love Lockdown (The Electro version) by Kanye West...and when I'm drinking and dancing, Britney Spears...particularly the Blackout album. Shame:cry::banghead:

What other scandalous things can I say about myself tonight?...Oh, Dragostea din tei, by O-Zone...more commonly referred to as the numa numa song.

I also shamelessly enjoy the hamster dance song, Eiffel 65, and Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. That song right there is the reason a person either loves or hates country music.

I'll stop now before I really embarrass myself.:o

Fighter - Christina Aguilera
Low - Flo Rida
matchbox 20
I Kissed a Girl - Kate Perry

Movie soundtracks. I get hooked on the back ground music and end up buying the soundtrack and then practicing it on my piano. That and for some weirdass reason I have been hooked on Lady Gaga.

Don't feel too bad. I admit that I've been listening to the Metal Gear Solid 4 soundtrack for a week and a half now. It just...sounds so epic!

Death Cab for Cutie -.- probably the most whiney, pathetic little band I've ever heard yet some of there songs are just so...i dunno...pretty?

Anything Mindless Self Indulgence. They're lyrics are so horrible sometimes, but I just love their beats. "Lips Like Morphine" by Kill Hannah is another, simply because I love how they sound, but the band itself bothers me. >.>; Also, absolutely anything Fergie repulses me, but those catchy beats get me every time.

Don't you hate how you know the songs you dislike so well?

I usually won't listen to any pop songs, unless it is J-Pop music. For some reason I have no problem listening to Japanese Pop songs. I hate American Pop tho.
I also love songs by Origa, especially the opening song to the anime, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

My guilty pleasure is any remake by Micheal Buble. He just has this beautiful voice and he is singing so many big band and swing songs that I have loved from the first moment I heard them.

"Sway" is my favorite cover by him. I remember singing that all of the time because it would get stuck in my head so easily.

To admit that I like anything by a young and "talented" artist like Miley Cyrus is, for me, a sin.

But, what do you know, that chick can actually sing good music. Who knew?

A few more guilty pleasures is Evanescence (emo!) and anime music. J-pop of any kind is usually okay, but when you touch base on anime and game music, then you get into the weird realm.

I got a couple of doozies lurking on my iTunes:
The Dixie Chicks (if it's good enough for Dubya it's good enough for me)
Dio
Genesis
Def Leppard

Still, s'not as bad as some of the lovely stuff my other half has on hers :)

Guilty pleasures for me include, but are not limited to:

Lady Gaga
Rihanna
Taylor Swift
Ke$ha

Justin Bieber *ducks*

For some reason, that prepubescent midget actually happens to sing decent songs.

Yeah I'm not sure I'd classify Death Cab as really guilty pleasure kind of music. I mean unless you talk to a lot of hipsters, I can't imagine too many people giving you shit for listening to them.

Now if you listen to Owl City, then YES, that is a guilty pleasure you should be ashamed of.

Crap.

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

But only one song from each, and it's only because they were put with the specific video clips with which the authors intended, and whose titles matched up with my search terms in some oddly related way.

I'd say something about it being a long story, but it's not. Just...unusual and not something to which I'd generally admit doing.

I now have specific associations with each song, and they both are good enough to merit my acquiring both.

I'm so lame.

I rock out to Lady Gaga sometimes. Like, full on dancing and singing at the top of my lungs.

Other than that I'm actually both reasonable and quite manly.

Seriously.

Okay, I listen to a pretty wide spectrum of music, Opera-Otep, Classical-Techno....But I have a hard time admitting I still am really into Raffi (children music)

Other wise I don't really care.. I have a five year old (who liked 'dirty guy' music...I thought he couldn't hear it in my room) so I have an excuse to listen to it now- but before >.<
