Actor David Caradine, probably most famous for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in TV's Kung Fu, was found dead at a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand today. Carradine, who was 72 when he died, had appeared in over 100 feature films, and may be most recently remembered for his role as Bill in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill film(s).

No that's Bob Barker. When he dies, Chuck Norris is going to end the world and take all the people who don't suck to his magical kingdom to spend the rest of eternity.

So now they're saying it was a suicide. Curiouser and curiouser.

Actually, I just read a story that came over the wire that stated David's agent said he would never commit suicide.
Police officials have released details saying that when he was found in the closet of his hotel room, he had rope tied around his genitalia and neck and the ropes were tied together.
There also was no suicide note. While they are unsure if he died due to an accident with auto-erotic asphyxiation, it's possible he simply suffered a heart attack while doing what he was doing.
Authorities were awaiting an autopsy report as of this morning.

Yeah just after I posted that I read a BBC Online article about the rope/cord, although they left out the word "genitalia" and replaced it with the more ambiguous (but no less obvious) words: "a cord around his neck and other parts of his body."

Death caused by a combination of stupidity and being a sick fuck isn't really suicide. Anyway, I hope he at least died "happy".

So now the family are asking to FBI to investigate.
Actually a friend of mine postulated that it could've been an accidental death made to look like suicide/autoerotic asphyxia if there was someone else with him at the time.

In one of his divorces, the ex claimed he took part in "deviant sexual practices."

In divorce proceedings though, I mean c'mon. I'm not saying it's not true, I'm just saying that shit that people accuse each other of in divorce court can sometimes get downright dirty (so to speak.)
Of course his family may be calling in the FBI to give his death some sort of semblance of "dignity".

I believe so. I mean, after all, isn't that a hell of a way to be found?

I really didn't believe it was suicide. I'm still in shock about his death. Rest in Peace, David Carradine.
