I saw this on some other forums, and it looks like it could be fun. The game is based off the TV show Survivor. I'm still brainstorming on how it would work, but I wanted to see how many people would consider signing up if there were a game.
The basics: If enough people sign up, I'll divide the players into teams. If there are less than, say, 8 players, then I'll scrap the team idea and it will be every player for himself.
Each team will elect a leader, who will coordinate the team and submit any team entries.
At the beginning of each round, I will announce a challenge that each team will complete. It could be things like word games, drawing challenges, or riddles. I'm trying to come up with some challenges that Google wouldn't be able to ruin. If anyone has ideas, feel free to post them here or PM me.
I'm still deciding whether each player will be able to submit an entry to me or if the team leader will choose the best entry to submit. But either way, entries will be submitted.
The winning team will be selected. This could be done through a separate voting thread or I could pick. The winning team gets immunity, which means no one from their team can be voted off. The members of the losing team will vote for who be kicked out of the game.
Once there are only 4 or 5 players left, the teams will merge and it will be every player for himself. The player who wins each challenge will be granted immunity, while the losing players will have to vote one person off the island.
When there are 2 players left, all the players who were previously kicked off the island will vote for the winning player.
---------
Let's not make this a popularity contest.
If someone is not playing, they will automatically be kicked off the island.
If the team leader is voted off, the team will vote for a new leader.
When it comes to voting people off, anything goes. Plead your case, throw your buddy under the bus, whatever. Just no flaming or you'll get a warning. If it keeps happening, you'll be kicked off the island.
----------
Any and all ideas, opinions, and comments are welcome. My feelers won't get hurt, I promise.
So, does this sound fun to you?
