Just like the title states, discuss any up coming movies or movies currently in theaters here.

Terminator Salvation looks like and from what I have been told by people who have seen it will top all the Terminator movies. Any thoughts?

Transformers: revenge of the fallen looks like it's going to kill the first one with a better history of the Decepticons and the whole cybertronian history. I am worried though that they are showing so many good scenes in the commercials, I remember when the first one came out all the scenes I saw in the previews were basically all the good ones.

Terminator Salvation is already getting bad reviews. I'm trying to keep an open mind. Part of it is because I really want to like it, because it's Terminator. Another part is because the early trailers suggested that, as a result of time travel's ripple effect, the future turned out way different than expected. Yeah, I guess I was still sorta expecting the baddest-ass Terminators to have tanks for legs and lazer cannons for arms. And part of me will still be expecting the future to resemble Los Angeles having just been hit by nukes. It's my nature, and it's been pretty heavily implied that's the characters' nature as well. I like movies that throw me for a loop when the characters in said movie have as much reason to be confused as I do. If that rings true, I'll probably like it.

I honestly liked Terminator Salvation. I am not a big Terminator fan to sit here and dissect it, but I thought a lot of the actions scenes were sick (especially when the motorcycles came out of the giant Terminator's leg). The story was a bit predictable with the convict but honestly I'd go see it again.

Terminator Salvation does not top the previous first movies. However it is a nice add-on to the series, IMO.

It did however leave the third movie completely in the dust.

That's not saying much.

I just hope that they don't screw Starscream up in this new movie like they did in the first... They really didn't represent him very well...

I've had days working the checkout line that left T3 in the dust. Shit son, I done had bouts of acid reflux that left T3 in the dust. Know what I'm sayin'?!

Just saw 'Up' yesterday and I highly recommend it. The effects were wicked and the story line flowed beautifully. The humor was on key and hilarious (especially the part were the dog goes 'hi my master made me this colar and..squirrel!.....) crazy loved it even though it had some heart breaking moments :( (yep I buckled and cried...a little) definitely worth it

I started out the summer with seeing X-Men: Cameo Origins... Wolverine... er X-Men: Origins Wolverine.

While I liked Victor Creed, the actor, the character, I thought the movie was HORRIBLE. Too many characters and very little plot. And as an added knee to the groin, they killed off Deadpool...

Star Trek: Loved the movie, Loved the score. I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but this movie was simply AWESOME!

Terminator Salvation: I really liked the movie, even though Christian Bale was pretty non-existent in the film, but then again that isn't a bad thing. The character of Marcus Wright was very well crafted and executed. However, I still can't get around that time loop thing. I don't think the series adheres to the Grandfather Paradox.

If the terminators went back in time and killed John Conner's parents... John Conner would cease to exist, and thus the machines would have no reason to send back a terminator to kill John Connor... Ugh... it hurts...

I've talked to one person who saw this movie and DIDN'T cry, and that's because she's a bubbly blonde who is apparently emotionally numb. I said to myself, "When did Disney Pixar get so heavy?"

Terrific movie. Doesn't top Wall-E, but still wonderful. I kind of like when they do movies like this. And got to see a killer preview! (Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs! YES!).

Changing track, I can't wait to see Public Enemies. Can there be anything better than Johnny Depp in a movie about REAL gangsters? July 1st. Guess not technically in theaters but worth mentioning.

The Taking of Phelham 123 -Just saw it, good movie. A little too predictable, not nearly as complicated as some other Denzel Washington movies but good all the same. I've never seen John Travolta play a bad guy role, it was interesting. On a scale of 1-10? I'd have to say 9 1/2, half only because, as mentioned, I felt the plot was a little too obvious.

I'm really looking forward to that movie it looks like it's going to be really great. I agree, definately worth mentioning.

It seems out of character for me but I actually like real gangster stories and am very excited to see how this plays out. Depp is great for Dillinger.

I've actually done some of the gangster tours and hung out at some of the old hideouts of Dillinger, Ma Barker gang and Baby Face Nelson.

My brother is a huge movie person. If its good (or sometimes even if it isnt) he has seen it. He recomended Star Trek to me and we both can't wait to see the new Transformers.

just saw the hangover with my cousins yesterday and man, it is definitely an adult comedy worth seeing. I was blissful to see not all the good parts were shown in the previews :D it is crazy funny and is full of shocker moments.

R- really? Because uh yeah, he's played a bunch.

Also, it's Inglorious Basterds. It will be cool to finally see Samm Levine in something potentially good again.

I was honestly surprised with a couple of scenes that I wasn't sure some of the young ones would get but over all even though I was dragged to see it, it was an awesome movie.

Just saw Year One with Jack Black and I would have to say, do not listen to any of the reviews. I guess they were all written by seventy-year olds who have noting better to do except say how bad something is...even though it isn't bad at all.

Anyway, I saw this movie with my 50-year old dad, 21-year old brother, 18-year old step-sister, and forty-something year old step-mother, and all of us were in tears half the time (laughing of course). I don't see why people are calling it a movie only people between the ages of 14-18 would like. Everyone in the theater was laughing hysterically, most anyway.

I loved it, everyone in my family loved it, and a lot of people left the theater laughing and retelling their favorite parts. So, my point, funny movie, don't listen to the reviews.

took my nephew to see 'Night at the museum 2' this past weekend and the movie was utter crap. The only time I laughed through this movie was when Ben Stiller was getting bitch slapped by two monkeys. The humor was way too forced, dialogue was completely off and over dramatized, it just completely reeked in my opinion.

I finally saw Star Trek and Up. (because of the baby, we just can't go to see movies as often as we used to) Loved both movies; Up definitely had that sad undercurrent, even if you had time to forget about it, they always tied you back down into it (just like those balloons) And Star Trek...fun!

I just booked Premium VIP ticket seats for HP6. It'll be fun; 21+ only theater room with love seats (only 68 seats per theater) and the ability to order food for the movie. Steak + Death Eaters = tasty :)

G-Force? Really?

Still haven't seen Bruno though I really want to. Part of it, if not all, appears to follow format similar to Borat, him getting into situations with people who aren't aware of what's going on.

To pull it off once is great on it's own. But if he's fooled people twice with his chameleon talents, then I am in awe.

I work at the movies so I get in free...I know lucky me right? :D

I saw Bruno today, it was so wrong, but at the same time I couldn't stop laughing through out it...

I saw Transformers, It was okay.

I loved UP, I almost cried...

HP...I was bored to tears, it was one of the more boring books to me...

Public Enemies I thought it was going to be interesting, and it was, it was really draggy though...

The Hangover....I loved it...

The Proposal was cute...funny at first, chick-flicky towards the end

I'm taking my little siblings to see G-force on sunday
and I'm gonna see The Ugly Truth sometime next week...

Orphan looks odd... I'm gonna see it eventually

Public Enemies was good, but it was a different type of movie. Had a great climax at the end but wasn't really the one you were expecting...unless you acutally read up on the history of 'John Dillinger.' then it was no surprise.

I liked the new transformer movie, but it seemed to linger a bit too much on 'slang' and cursing when it wasn't appropriate. Plus, I couldn't stand those two rap tranformers (or whatever the hell they were) they reminded me of JarJar Binks in StarWars Episode 1...comedic relief, but way too annoying. Blah...regardless though, the movie kicked ass and the action scenes were pretty sweet.

I just saw the Orphan and holy fluff if you have not seen it yet, trust me it is worth every penny. I never suspected the ending, it didn't give anything away and it was a hell of a lot more brutal and twisted than the previews have shown :beerchug:
