what are your favorite sports? Also what are your favorite teams/players?

I love boxing, mostly light weight and middle weight. My hands down favorite is Paulie Malignaggi but I also love Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao.

Cross-country and track are my preferred sports, but these are the sports I have been participating in since I was 11 years old. There's something incredible about running that I can't locate in any other sport. :whee: Usually I watch the track Olympics, but that is all. Normally I cannot simply observe sports, I become itching from remaining still.
When others are playing, I desire to be involved. So I am no fan of football, baseball, and so forth unless I am in the game. The only sport I can sit back and relax with is boxing. I'd rather not have my face pounded on :p Even though the character is fictional, I love the series of Rocky, the Italian Stallion :)

Ever since I was a young girl, I was inspired by the fictional Rocky(Those moives have energy-pumping music). It's intriguing to know he was based off a real person. Now it's even cooler.

Ah, used to love playing hockey during gym in elementry and middle school. Very unprofessional of course, and I had the tendency to accidentally strike people in the shins with my stick :p Good times, good times. Did I pass the check-up? ;)

Baseball and Football by far. I don't think I could choose between the two! Go Dodgers!

I'm going to challenge your answer. Why? Give us details about it. Maybe I haven't seen the best football games out there, but it rather seems unstimulating to me, because the action is too choppy. Stop, go. Stop, go. I suppose I shouldn't base my perception of football from my highschool experience considering our team lost excessively. Also I've never really taken the time to learn the techniques, so I could never follow the games I attended to. Although, the college I graduated from had an excellent team. It added a bit more of excitement when we would smash other schools.
I once watched a softball game, and I about died from boredom. Ever since that experience, I have been in fear that baseball would turn out similar, and I have not watched a single game of it.

You can not really compare softball to baseball. From lobbing a softball compared to a 95 mph fastball is just not close. And as for football, its more than just the actual game itself of which i have been playing since i was 5 or 6. Its the competitiveness, the rivals, the sitting around on a saturday or sunday with friends or family and having a blast.

I love playing football, played it in high school and dirt biking but as far as watching it, pass. I can't sit there without getting itchy feet to go out and play unless I am utterly bored or Uno is watching boxing. Boxing I'll watch cause I obviously can't play in that sport without killing someone. I am a Mayweather and Cotto fan but this Pacquiao guy is growing on me.

Um, how is that obvious? o.o

My favorite sport is bowling, which I am awesome at (my high is 120!!! beat that). I don't watch any sports though, except maybe to make fun of how homosexual some of them are.

I am not a professional boxer and have not had their training, so in my ignorance I might make a fatal move or an illegal move. I also have a wickedly hot temper so allowing me to hit on someone else isn't a real good idea.

Are you currently involved in any of the two?

Most people wouldn't consider Competitive Horse back riding a sport. But I do. I've been competing for 5 years.

BUT I do love football.
GO STEELERS!!!!!

Any sport that doesnt require me to be sponsored by a corporation to be competitive.:D

That being said, I like motorcross, and open-track/autocross car racing.

A lot of motocross has sponsorships. Its usually done by the Maker of the particular motorcycle they ride.

I got into the Moto GP last season and loved it! Bike racing is in my family history though so I suppose that's no surprise :p It might be obvious, but my favourite has to be Valentino Rossi, AKA The Doctor. He's not only incredibly skilled but he has a great personality to go along with it, and he's never a sore loser (on the rare occasions he loses a race at any rate) or arrogant winner. We were also rooting for Toseland last year simply because he was the only British biker in it, but he didn't do so well and has been replaced by an American this season.

Bowling would be my number one fav sport. My grampa taught me how to bowl when I was a pup. Love to watch it on tv too. Here's a vid on some bowling trick shots which are pretty amazing:

I am not really into playing sports, I used to be into horseback riding mostly liked to to race and jump (but I am not small enough to race and don't have the money for a horse), I used to do swimming, and martial arts.

I used to do ballet (but that was because my mom made me, I hated it!)

Since the injury to my back I have been less active. I do like to watch though Vollyball. (but hate playing)

Roller Derby, Mudd Wrestling, Jello Wrestling... I am not even being factitious.

Some of my good friends work professionally for women's wrestling and it is is awesome to watch them go for it.

Roller Durby is fun. I played for a very short time, but like I stated my back getting injured made me have to stop.

I am thinking of going to a doctor again and seeing i can get a treatment for it, so I can start getting active again. We have a roller Durby team near where I live.

I used to really like hockey before the lock outs and then it made me rather disgruntled. The IHL went backrupt so I could no longer goto a local game but I still have an interest.
I would also like to see buzkashi become a regular event at rodeos, although I doubt the insurance agencies would cover the event.

From Wikipedia:
Buzkashi or Kok-boru or Oglak Tartis or Ulak Tartysh (Persian, Urdu: بزکشی bozkæšī; Tajik: бузкашӣ buzkašī, "goat dragging"; Uzbek, Tatar: kökbörü, kök "blue" + börü "wolf"; Kazakh: көкпар; Kyrgyz: улак-тартыш or көкбөрү; Pashto: وزلوبه wuzloba, "goat game"; Turkmen: owlakgapdy; Uyghur: oghlaq tartish; Chinese: 叼羊) is a traditional Central Asian team sport played on horseback in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, northern Pakistan, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China and Kazakhstan. The steppes' people were skilled riders who could grab a goat or calf from the ground while riding a horse at full gallop. The goal of a player is to grab the carcass of a headless goat or calf and then get it clear of the other players and pitch it across a goal line or into a target circle or vat.

I enjoy watching and working in Baseball, minor league ball in the summer with concessions back breaking manual labor. (those beer kegs don't load themselves). I also enjoy watching Basketball and Football as well. Though most of the teams I root for are not that great, I stay loyal to everything Cleveland.

I don't watch any sports, but I do play tennis. I'm not going to claim to be an expert at it though, because I'm the guy who hits home runs... in tennis.

Mine is Jiu-Jitsu. Since I started practicing it I realized that it was a sport that suited me more than any other. It's like chess, with strategies and knowledge to be used one-against-one, but we use bodies instead of carved pieces. Though I don't like very much to watch, unless someone from my team is fighting.
