LARP seems to be a tad abandoned and this would actually probably be better as a relay. Kind of the same concept, just in relay form. If the first post is too short, I'm sorry. If you need more info, you can check the post in the LARP version.

I write now with much haste, for I fear that I will not be alive to write this much longer. The Gods descend upon us even as I attempt to leave this message. They have come as our destruction, planning to erase us from memory. We have angered Olympus and all we sought was an end to the destruction that they wreak upon our world.

Their anger was brought down upon us by the discoveries we made. We know how to kill the gods. They have come now for the weapons that we forged for that very purpose. They seek to destroy the only things that can destroy them. They have been hidden and will hopefully remain so, as these scrolls will hopefully remain.

I know not how long it will be before these scrolls are found, if they are ever found, but I leave upon them my dying wish. Find the Weapons of Amarren. The Axe, The Sword, The Hammer, The Bow, The Trident, The Cesti, find them and kill the gods. Please, avenge us.

-Athesos, Scribe of Amarren, on the Fall of Amarren.

The day was hot as Samuel Denton arrived at the excavation site. It was the middle of an Aegean summer day. His former professor, Dr. Raymond Burke, had reserved him a spot on this excursion. He wanted Samuel to find the Relics of Amarren, as the Weapons had come to be called, and put them in museums for the world to see. These were coveted prizes to find, for there were those who believed that they held the actual powers of the Olympian Gods.

Samuel dropped his duffel bag where he planned to set up his tent. He ran a hand through his black hair and walked over to the hole they had dug in their excavations of the area. Where once there were hills, now therewas a Grecian city rising out of the ground bit by bit. Human bones had indeed been found all around the area. Sam rubbed the light stubble on his chin. His thoughts were excited, but he was keeping his cool.

He had long been a fan of Greek history and Greek mythology and now he was being embroiled in both. He wondered if it was possible that the Relics held the power of the actual Olympian Gods, their magic. That could be a major find for someone looking for absolute power. Had Hitler found the Scrolls of Amarren and then the Relics, he might have been able to use them to take the power of the gods and use it as a weapon against the world. What would have happened then?

There was a lot on Sam's shoulders. He could be saving the world by locking these weapons inside a museum, but he wondered if he could save the world from himself. World domination is a great temptation for a man. Would he be able to stop himself from falling for that temptation?
