Hey all.

Now you can see why we wanted to get rid of game relays, as they're mainly just a way to increase your post count without contributing significantly to the site.

After 5 years we had yet to see anyone get above 10,000 posts, but I don't think that means any of us had lives. :p

Very true GB, but a person who rises above 10,000 posts is very dedicated to their lack of life. :notworthy:

all very interesting, chriz.

myself, do not see me taking advantage of a lot of the perks...because they mostly involve posting photos and creating photo albums and i am a bit lazy and tend to procrastinate about posting photos...heck...anyone looking at my facebook and myspace pages would be bored to tears.

but all of this, i think, would be welcome to many other board users and you and the rest of the mods deserve thanks and congratulations on your efforts.

I think so too, as long as people just don't start posting, just to post. However, that is what our great team of moderators are for. :beerchug: Wrangle the rebels and ban the morons! :notworthy:

Absolutely. This means we wont be taking kindly to no fluff posts, so be sure your posts have some content.

Ya hear?

Ya hear?

What are some examples of fluff posts really?

One line statements that don't contribute? Just posting LOLOLOLOLLOl like responses?

All of the above.

Actually, I was going to just determine what posts to delete on a whim...*coughs*

I mean, most of it is common sense. Don't just post "oh that was funny" in the youtube video thread without contributing a good video in the same post, or telling someone you like their poetry without giving constructive feedback on how they could improve. These types of posts can easily translate into thanking the person to which you would be responding. I can't stress enough that posts should have content.

You're a smart crowd, though, I think you'll get it.

Hey, all of us old folks had to do it too.

Great to see you back, by the way. Your name, is it intentionally mispelled or is it just how you type? I know I have certain spelling quirks when I'm speed-typing that my fingers just can't seem to unlearn  Just that I remember that that's how your name was spelled before...

It actually really does keep the spam down. The number of spambots that have registered is just crazy...seems that some are caught, but at least their posts don't make it.

It is a very small god that demands his subject's attention. I am a fan of StarGate Series, though, so I may find your post amusing.

I do not kneel before God. He knows I respect him while standing as well as sitting.

So what does an ancient Egyptian God like to drink?, and what hobbies might he have?

Just a quick question - What are the forum titles associated with the said levels (and what are the titles anyway)? Do you get to request a custom title at some specific point? Just curious :P

Once you reach 10 approved posts you can make your title anything that you'd like it to be.

We've put in a graphical indicator of your rank. It's that swipe of blood with the paw print under your name. The number of paws indicates your user rank.

First off, instead of posting post after post, if no one else has posted after you, simply edit yours.

Second, both spelling and grammar are important here, if you have to, open up a program like Word Processor or something, and type what you want to post there before doing so, they automatically check your spelling and whatnot.

And last but not least, try not to post anything irrelevant, it gets on people's nerves sometimes.
