One Q for all of U here: Why do you frown on elves!
-not everyone..but most therians I talk 2 say:"They just watched LOTR 2 many times!" But think..this universe is so big and mysterious and we can't say stuff like that (kind of bigot-ish).
Infact there could b a lot of elevn therians..since the elves were well known for their shapeshifting abilities and connection 2 nature!
PPl that claim to be elves aren't thinking they have pointy ears and bow 'n arrows & green tights; they just believe their soul is elven (also possible memories of an elven lifetime).
- Let urs truely know what U think! Get scribblin'! :D

I was not aware that there was allot of bigotry towards elves going on,
And I am not one to say, or even think something racist, but I just got to say I don’t really like elves, I guess its really just jealousy.

Elves are not therians.
Elves or the fae are completely different entities and they are not human in any way although they can use chiccanery to look like humans and blend in.

I'm an elf, and a therian.
Wanna tell me i'm not?
Elves were the original corporeal beings of the universe, and originally all they were was etheric spirits. They decided to become physical, out of curiousity, and through that some decided to stay corporeal. They all eventually took on forms of their own, and the majority took on the form that we know now, just not short merry and gay. Eventually, 'lo and behold, all being become corrupted, the elders took advantage of another tribe of fae coming in, and created genetic killing machines, and made a ploy to get the world for themselves, by sending us through a gate to earth. I died during that, and I eventually wandered here, looking for my people.
I died trying to bring back the old ways. My brothers and I, the Draes'tai, knew that the only way to bring back our true magick was to return to nature, and in our practice we infused ourselves with spirits of the wild. Mine, was a canine, named Great Red Moon.
This is what I believe. I know that LotR has brought alot of people into a new perspective, but thats only half it. Legolas is not the best damn thing since sliced bread, lemme tell you.

Elves, Therians, Vamps, Fae, Dragons and anything else I'm likely forgetting are, as I categorize it, are Races. Someone can be both Elven, Therian, Dragon but they're not the same seed, ya get my metaphor? Some where in the wood pile, the Family tree, I believe someone could have a Elven Mom and a Therian Father. Then centuries later, or such, a child is born and they feel their souls, that they are Elven, Therian AND Dragon/Vampire.
It is up to the individual to decide and figure out, search within to distinguish if they are or aren't Elven. To figure out if Legolas triggered some memory, or if seeing the Snow Boarding Elf is merely an attraction, interest.
Yelling at them for believeing they are from Legolas' Family isn't likely going to hault their beliefs, or their clams, but merely unknowingly make the believe even more solid. They'll keep believing. Why not instead, if you feel they may have a shread of a open mind direct them to a GOOD link to discovering your Elven Soul or such?

The time difference between then and now, the percentage of elf blood in someone would be .... 0.000000000000000000 000000000000000002%

The elenari nexus and all of the other sites haven't been updated in forever. You can't rely on the internet to find your answers, only to open the door.
I tried to open the door for DarkHunter, and I think i've done okay.
He's a good little adopted brother.
Anyways, here's a good site that gives a viewpoint from some of Rialian's kin.

First of all, I'm skeptical of anyone who claims a therian type connection to creatures that Never existed to begin with. That goes for dragons, elves, vampires, and various other things. How can there be an elvish part of you? There's no such thing as elves, and there never was! You're just making up what you think elves are like and saying that you're like that! I know it's not wrong where therianthropy is concerned... technically it's still playing by the rules. It just makes me roll my eyes, is all.
Secondly, I'm skeptical of anyone who discovered they were an elf after the LOTR movies came out. I don't really think they think they are elves, they just become enamored with the fashion and the coolness factor of Legolas. Like all of those girls that became wiccans after watching Buffy: TVS. It's a damn tV show! They don't know anything about witches.
Lastly, elves just plain piss me off. They're little, and they're very cleanly, and they have that hair and those eyes that they think are so pretty. They think their culture and their history and their society are so advanced and better than that of the wolves. They dump on me for being big and for wanting to live in the wilderness and eat creatures while they're still "technically" still alive. They think they're better than me, I think. And that ticks me off. Growl!

The Legend is eternal, fey Legends doubly so.
i got no problem with elves. i may take the piss but thats out of the distorted effergy which culture has portrayed them as. does that make sence???
if not then let me put it another way, i only laugh at the kender looking pointy eared ones because thats what thier there for. and the old myths were the best,

oh and the other thing, i liked all the pre victorian myths with the fey rapeing, pillageing and looting, instead of this tree hugging hippy wings or bows or both. Ahem
I dont believe in any mythical creature. But if they did exist, I do have to say Elves would be one of the most annoying, besides Hob-Goblins.. Ugh..

LIES!
Why are you all picking on poor Legolas? What did he ever do to you? (Aside from misconstrew the view of what elves are, but Tolkein wrote him, it's all his fault, not Legolas' ;P )

I love elves, they are a good.friendly race, unless you anger them,in which case they come after you with bow and arrows, not to mention throwing knives and poisoned weapons, the little buggers are very determined.
Cute, too, not to mention the forest elves are drunk out of their minds half of the time, its the ones from the mountains and deserts that usually arent too friendly, but be nice to them, and theyre good allies in a fight.Sneaky little things.....
pop out of nowhere and stab you in the eyes.
but theyre so much FUN!I could rant about them forever, but i wont.

whats wrong with believing that you are a mythical creature. It is still a feeling in your soul. So what if they don't exist now, does that mean they never existed? How did our stories of them come about then? I mean... I think for people who believe that they share the soul of an animal, or have a spiritual connection with a beast, or even the ones that say they p-shift, or whatnot, that you are being a bit hypocritical and biased. Elves can be therians, therians can be dragons, and vice versa. Who knows you can have 7384 different connections in your blood or spirit whos to say what you have. If anyone says that it is impossible for me to have a spiritual connection with the dragonkin of old, then I will tell them that it is just equally as impossible to believe that you have a spiritual connection with any animal, much less have ANY spiritual connection in the first place. I'm sorry if this makes you role your eyes. Maybe I'm a dragon, maybe I'm not, maybe I'm a lot of things, maybe I'm a combination that convinently resembles a dragon, but one thing I do know I feel the connection, and it has influenced my beliefs greatly. So if the dragons have helped me live as long as I have without giving up hope, they are real enough for me, regardless of your proof.

Oh and I do not think I am better than anyone based on me being a dragon. Whos to say WHO is better than anyone, you can't. So do not let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.

LeenaAngelWing, I have done me reading on mythical creature and elves are not at all as Tolkien describes; They were about two feet tall with leathery skin and beards. They were said to give good luck and bad luck etc. They declared war on humans and each other...
Now as for dragons,, unless you speak of oriental dragons(of which I am not sure) dragons were all described as either as giant reptiles or "flying" or "fiery" serpents(very few of whick were described being much bigger than three feet long) actually only two dragons in recorded history were ever described as the the modern representation(four legs, membranous wings, horns, huge), that is The Dragon of Wantly and the "Canadian Cliff Glider" seen by a woman in the Canadian Rockies.
So that is why I think therianthropy with something that actually existed is a wee bit more probable. No offence or anything... Everyone to their own opinion.

Grim, don't speak of that which you know little about.
I know tons of elves who could care less about you living in the wild and eating animals technically still alive. Don't discriminate against an entire race just because a few act and think such things. Really, this is whats wrong with half the world.

oh no I DON'T think that elves are tolkien esque but they could be. I am just saying I think that if you are going to look at this "logically" you have no right to say that a spiritual connection with a mythical creature is impossible becuase the same could be said about a spiritual connection with any creature, it all goes beyond the bounds of "normalcy" and can have the same thing said for either. I have no problem with you having your own beliefs but saying that one of my beliefs makes you sigh and roll your eyes just reeks of pretentiousness.

Andfor one thing, we arent just 'witches' we are much, much more complex then that, we dont just wave our hands around making things float in the air. Some one will ask me what religion I am, and Ill say "wicca." and they will be like "oh, so your a witch?" how presumptiouse......

whats more is when they ask if you can do a 'magick trick' for them. honestly, tricks are for dogs, not self respecting wiccans. i sometimes want to use certain people for chews toys if theyre going to be treating me like a dog...
