Is anybody out there keeping up with the Tour? Well it started today which is awesome. Cycling in France: Hectic beyond imagination. If anybody's interested it's on OLN but the time it's on I wouldnt know for you. But basically it's on all day.

(Notice no mention of Lance here?)

Oohh, bloody hell is it that time of year again.
Ah well, there goes the plan to visit my mate in Kent, cause knowing my luck it'll be on the day they do a leg of the damned tour over here.

But seriously, road cycling, how boring is it?
Mountain Bike racing, now there's a spectator sport, people falling off, broken bones, mangled bikes, yeah!

Oh I can not watch it. Kinda like watching water boil. But Lance is still unreal.

Road biking has that too. You can expect those kind of things in the Tour every year. MTN biking is a great spectator sport I guess but i'm the always the one being watched. And about people falling off, it may look cool but it hurts, sometimes a lot (as i've experienced today).

So I guess nobody's watching it 'cept me then huh?

I'm watching it I've tapped every day so far. Last I heard Lance's closet teammate was a soild minute behind him...I would watch it but I have workout when it's on in the states so it's easier to just tape it.

We only get the highlights or an occational 'exciting' stage as dictated by the TV network..

Good to hear someone outside my world is watching. Lance's team mate now is more than 2 minutes behind him now I think cause on the race saturday his whole team was dropped. He also lost the Yellow Jersey and is in third now by 1:23 I think. I'm crazy cause I watch it live here at 5:30 in the morning.

GRENOBLE, France (Reuters) - Tuesday's 1Oth stage of the Tour de France started about 40 minutes late in the Alps after angry cattle farmers protested about attacks by wolves.

The stage was also shortened from 192.5km to 181km after the farmers made their protest in Grenoble, where the start was initially scheduled.

The riders then moved on and the start was given 11.5 km further away.

The farmers were protesting against recent wolf attacks against sheep and cattle.

I'm of the opinion that French farmers should all be taken out and shot. They are a royal pain in the arse.
I truly pity any wolf that lot get their hands on. I've seen pics of what they do to wolves and it's frankly disgusting. But then, they're French so what do we expect.

Raise a white flag?

Back to the Tour though, some frenchmen won that Moncoutie guy that was overrated to begin with I believe. It's like 15th frenchmen to win the stage on France's national holiday. Lance retained his overall first place I believe but his teammate crashed a left the race last I heard.
