I am interestd in werewolves and was wondering why people think they are werewolves. I am not saying they are not or judging them but am interested in their opinion. Also what would defin someone as a werewolf. Do werewolves have a feud with vampires. Do vampires as far as you know exist. Thnkyou for taking time to look at my message.

'k, well... first of all, I'd say most people here don't think that they are werewolves in the physical sense (ex. physically shifting). The majority of the users on these boards are theriantropes (I hope I spelled that right  ) , which are humans who have some sort of spiritual connection with an animal. As for vampires, well, as far as I know, people here don't fight with vampires. In fact, a lot of users have vampire friends or some may be vampire/animal hybrids. So... I don't know if that helped at all or not, but hopefully it did. :wavey:

As far as reality, it's all perspective, man. I could go into it, but as of this second, the mere prospect of explaining is exhausting.

My thoughts in summary: Being a were is a spiritual bond between an animal and your humanself. As for the were vs vampire thing. I think that started out as an RPG.

My opinion is simple but I think it will help answer your question. A werewolf is not really a person who changes between wolf and human. I think it's a person that can act like a wolf and does look like a wolf. I also go along with what someone said about a spiritual relationship. And the part about vampires, I think some vampires might have a grudge between werewolves. But nothing like a all out feud with all werewolves and vampires. A few of my friends are vampires. I know this stuff about werewolves cause I am one.

Okay, I believe that werewolves and vampires don't converse all together in one big group. I mean, what would we say to each other, other than "hey i like vampires, their cool"... or vise versa? BUT I know a few vampires, and they a good friends. I mean I love vampires.. I actually sometimes like blood. Werewolves don't need blood unless they are eating... so the part about Weres "feeding" is totally false.

I've got to agree with YoungFang. Anyway, the ones I've talked to don't think vampires exist, and neither do I. So I think not.

Yes you do *hands you 50 bucks*
:: deep sigh :: Fang, it's obvious you don't know Lore very well. He'll never take a bribe, he's above that.
Now me, well...If that money is burning a hole in your pocket, feel free to send it towards the figment of your imagination...
*Ahem* Apologies, all. I don't know what came over me.
On topic, vampires as one knows do not exist. Neither do werewolves. Or weres in general, for that fact.
Note:If you don't like Kaz's answer, look at phrasing.

Well, that may be true when it the subject can have fur and fangs... but just fangs? Me thinks not.

Are you trying to say it's all in the mind, Kaz? Because that's what I'm getting...
Bah. You're reading too much into things. Just take it at face value. Or, better yet, I'll just make it more plain, and open myself up. :D
Vampires as one knows do not exist. Neither do werewolves. Or weres in general, for that fact.
Lore (I can't stand Lor) can probably articulate this better than I can.
:: laughs :: You're intelligent, Blood. But, it's almost as if you try too hard.

Oh..very interesting...so this is the place? *greets everyone*
I will propably greet several times you all since I am new.
Let's say that there are 2 kinds of weres:
1)Those with ability to fully change/morph/shift
2)Those without ability to shift but has "inner wolf", a spirit wolf
I am(hopefully) the 2nd type, since I haven't yet done anything werewolvish..wolfish ..err...
Moon, Luna gives me nice, warm and kinda fuzzy feeling. And of course I like forests.
So, there was something about me and something concerning this threath...arg...subj ect?...
I didn't really read all the posts on this one. But anyways:
HI!!

were's exist, vamps exist. Maybe not as you think the do, but a realistic sense. Everyone has an inner beast, or at least most of us. As for vamps, harder to explain, but their cool. There is a lot of b.s. in the legends, but they are as real as this website.

oops..and yes vampires do exist....i know few....juts not the stereotypical kind. haha :wavey:
Were's definantly exist, Vampires as well although the ones i know are due for an ass whooping. The spirit is alive and thus we are alive.

Sorry I didn't take this sooner, Kaz. It's been difficult for me to get to computers recently.
Kaz can mean one of two things.
A - Both vampires and werewolves don't exist in the forms we think of them as.
B - If you know vampires and werewolves do not exist, then they don't. If you believe that they're running around, you might see one just around the next street corner.
Sorry if I didn't get that right, but I tried.

Looks like I'm a little late.
I am interestd in werewolves and was wondering why people think they are werewolves
There are two strong beliefs to answer this question.
The first being Lycanthropic Disorder. Whether or not you believe in werewolves, Lycanthropic Disorder is an actual medical term.
It is a mental condition where the person truley believes they are a werewolf or were creature. Although the person will not change shape, in their mind set they believe they do and can be very dangerous.
The other belief simply being yes. Werewolves do exist.
As for the creatures that Hollywood creates, The wolf man on two legs, covered in fur, teeth, claws- No, I do not believe they exist, and my opinion is not likely to ever change.
I do, however, think that many people have a strong spiritual connection with animals and nature. Alot of people, myself included, believe that they carry somewhat of an animal spirit inside them.
Do vampires as far as you know exist
Same as above, I believe it all to be in the head. Although, I am not quite sure on any medical condition explaining Vampires.
Some people so strongly base their lives on these beliefs- who is anyone to tell them differently.

Jeez Kaz, look around yourself when you walk outside, half the people you see (maybe less, maybe more) are like the majority of us, Weres... There's no such thing as a shapeshifting Were, that's all legend and in the mind, on the other hand, we're Weres in the fact we have another side, a spirit most-likely, which is that of a certain animal. Vamps on the other hand, never met one, but I'm sure they exist.
