Might I suggest you look at free ESPN Fantasy Football? It might look better than Yahoo, and I thought that we should use whichever looks nicer.

I'm really tempted to go for this, even though I know more about particle physics than I do American Football. Just to see how I do.

Okay, folks, the Werewolf League is all set up on Yahoo (sorry to those of you who prefer ESPN, but it's the system I'm used to). I've PMed those of you who have posted here, but if anyone else wants to join, let me know, and I'll send you the league # and password.

Also, West and Anubis, might I suggest slapping this up as a sticky until draft time so that we maybe get more attention drawn to it?

I appear to be somewhat top-heavy on quarterbacks and RBs (running backs? - is that the dude that catches it when the QB throws it?). Hmm.. no kickers at all.

If I beat anyone at all in this, I can safely say you suck.

Actually, I'm in a proper footy league as well, though I'm already getting my hide tanned. I'm one of two Americans in that league out of 20, and we just don't have the 24/7 media coverage of the Premiership that y'all get over there.

Now, back to American football...the rankings are preset that way, because most leagues favor points by running backs (the guys who get handoffs and run with the football) and quarterbacks (the guys who do the handing-off and throw the passes). When I run leagues, however, I strike more of a balance so that positions aren't so heavily weighted. For instance, for a wide receiver or running back, a 100-yard game is considered a very good performance, while a 300-yard passing game for a quarterback is considered good, so in this league, a 100-yard game for a RB or WR earns you five points, as does a 300-yard game for a QB.

I've got Okamiotoko, Soulwolf, Ronin and Lost_Soul all considering joining the league. If they join, that will get the league up to 9 people. 3 more and we are in good shape.

We may not be. Right now, we've only got eight people, and frankly, I question the commitment of some of them. Unless we get some more before midnight tonight, I'm going to hafta abort the league. :(

Okay, the draft has been run. Everyone needs to look at their teams and make any adjustments they see fit before opening day, which is next Thursday. My first opponent is West. He will be crybating afterwards, I'm sure. :cool:
