I am very curious about this...How about a poll without a poll:

If you do not mind stating,
What is your ethnicity/race and your therian side?

I am mediterranean French (yes, there is a difference) and Sicilian with Greek/Phoenecian ancestry. (I know that because my family lived on Sicily for centuries) and my therian side is the wolf.

Hmmmm, interesting. Not saying I am at all racist or biased or anything ignorant, but it is a curious question.

I am a white girl (you can call me a cracker if your white too, that's the rule :p Besides, I am not offended to be rated amongst those wonderful Goldfish crackers) whose ethnic background is predominately Scottish. I was born into one clan and married into another. So much for diversity :shrug: . I also have Irish, French, German, Danish and Cherokee (who doesn't have Cherokee though?). But, I honor my Scottish heritage the most.

My therian is a grey wolf. I also have fox in me too, with the typical beautiful red-orange coat and white on the tail, but I rarely work with it.

An odd question indeed. The fact is, you'll be hard-pressed to find a true "pure-blood" or even someone with less than three different groups of ancestry these days because we've been around for so long that the different ethnicities have interbred and mixed many times. This means that pretty much everyone has a bit of something in them (noteably Americans born in the USA having Native American background, as Wolffy13 mentioned).

As for myself, I'm Caucasian with predominently English and Irish ancestry and (wait for it . . .) a little Cherokee. My "wereside" is cougar, as the avatar suggests.

Grim is German. His mother is pure Bavarian, and his father was partways too. As a result, he's about 85% German, the rest is an insane hodgepodge of Irish, English, Scottish, Hessian, Lakota Sioux, Russian, and just about all the other colors of western europe.

Grim is a wolf, all the way through. Strange thing... all of the first-born males on my father's side of the family have used the wolf as their standard for some reason. They like wolves, but I don't know why (and although I've asked, neither do they).

On another note, aside from saying what ethnicity you all are, lets also hear what color your phenotype's fur is. I've got this theory that weres turn out different colors based on their ancestry.

Damn straight. I think thats because alot of the Cherokee weren't massacred, like the Iroquois, and they probably couldn't keep from being raped by the whites.

On my father's side.. German and Cherokee. Poor guy wanted to be in the clan, but just didn't meet the blood quantum! hehehe..

On my mother's side.. German, French, and Dakota (Sioux.)

I 'honor' my Dakota blood, mostly, because I was raised by my mother, and our family is from the Fort Thompson Rez in SD. I've gone through certain cultural parts, wherein i'm still mostly white. But, by heritage and spirit, I AM A NATIVE! I have the black hair, dammit. And i'm yellow skinned.

I'm black and brown and grey wolfie. I've seen my familiar friend in dreams, we've hung out. I'm just the general brownish greyish blackish wolf man.

O_o (I could join the Cherokee tribe I think!)

My dad's side has french ancestry (supposedly there is some native in the line somewhere), and my mother's side has german ancestry. Myself; I was born in Canada so I just say I am Canadian; it so much easier to say, and actually very true. :drool:

Well i'm about 90% scottish , had an accent when i was little, and the rest is irish dutch-scottish royalty (became scottish royalty when they moved) and iroqouis.
apparently i have a great great great grandfather that was berserker hes not only my third great grandfather but you get the picture. and uh oh yeah I'm a grizzly bear.

im u.s.a. born. but im 50% irish and 25% english and i dont know what the other 25% is because i dont know who my father is. and i am a owl.

Hmmm...interesting.

My therian side is a light grey wolf. Very similar to my avatar, and it's the closest that I've found.

I was born in the US.

On my moms side: English/Jewish
on my dads side: Italian

My therian: Wolf. Though i've yet to figure out what kind yet. I'm really trying to figure it out though... I guess one day it might just occur to me that i'm "such and such" wolf.. etc.

I was born in the US. I'm about 80% Irish with the remaining 20% being mostly Italian with a bit of Dutch blood in there, too. My therian side is a leopard.

Really confusing and fucked up but when you get right down to it I am mostly Gaelic and Prussian(German).

My therian is a gray or gold cougar.

i've got pretty much a little bit of everything in me, actually.

dutch, scottish, italian, irish, (gasp)cherokee, and a lot more i can't really remember.

usually, if someone asks, i'll just tell them i'm Italian though, because i look Italian and most of my family i actually know is Italian.

my wereside? i'm really not positive as of now. mostly canine (not sure exactly what specific kind), but i think there may be something else as well (i'm thinking a little bit of feline, but not much).
