Do you mean the fantasyland wars portrayed in the very misspelled posts "to tose who belive" and "It is comeing"? Or the other fantasy wars between 'packs'. Be more specific.

I don't know much about this big war. But some people are going on about it, whether they are roleplaying, resumming or telling the truth is something completely different.
By the way Wray, your avatar looks familiar. Reminds me of the Buster Wilde Werewolf comics.

I don't know about this "war" that's going on between "werewolves". I don't completely understand this, werewolves at war? ~shrugs~ Sorry I don't know what you're talking about. It sounds as silly as saying chickens bark and run around like kittens.

::Feels like a trained monkey or a broken record, either way::
OK, first of all, it may not even be what we would call a war. Yet, some major event is going to happen. Whether this event happens tomorrow or sometime in the lives of our grandkids, it is hard to say. Whatever is coming is NOT the end of the world, but things won't be the same either. Life will continue afterwards, things will just be different.
Second of all, this is in no way directly related to werewolves. It won't be cause by werewolves, it won't strictly involve werewolves and what have you. This will be much more widespread, whatever it will be exactly.
Thirdly, this isn't some role-play, but I sure wish it was. The reason people have been ranting and raving about it is because some people are more sensitive to things outside the mundane. Some of us are just merely freaking out and truth be told, I don't blame them, but at the same time, don't count the count the chickens before they hatch and we'll deal with it when it comes. I believe there is modes of preparation and I trust some of you know what I mean. I won't get into it though.
I have felt what I will VERY reluctantly call "a disturbance in the force" (Heaven help me, I quoted Star Wars in deep sincerity) upon several occasions. I hesitate to call whatever is coming a war, but it will be a time of turmoil, although technically, we seem to be seeing the preliminary stages of whatever is to come. I'm not looking forward to it. I hope all of us who can sense this whatever-you-want-to-call-it are wrong.

Don't be a MO-ron (Animal House Pronunciation). A war between werewolves? Why should they fight?
It would take a lot to wage a war. There would have to be longstanding, developed social groups on either side, with definite doctrines and the money, manpower, and ability to identify both themselves and their enemies, in order for a war to be undertaken. In about a million years of human history, we've never once even seen proof that a single member of this entire species even exists. The probability that there are forces waging a secret war right under our noses are freakishly slim (if existant at all). It would be far-out if not only did werewolves exist (and had hidden their very basic existance from us for the entirety of human history) but also that developed forces were waging a war without any evidence leaking out to us.
Although, if anyone would like to START a war, just for the hell of it, well... I've got beatin's ta spare.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondring because of all the whispers of I've been hearing. It didn't scare me until I realized how much I like war machines and guns and that kind of stuff. I've also been looking at all this from other stories and I think that I've been able to peice together a story (though even I must say it sounds fictional). Would anyone like to hear it?

All I am about to type is absolutly true. Its the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I beleive that humankind are on the verge of space travel. Already some of the things that are considered fiction is made or being made. I don't believe many people know about this but NASA has developed a new type of rocket engine for there sattlites (don't know how to spell that word). They have named it an Ion Drive. Before you say I am lying I can tell you how it works. I don't know every detail just something of a generalization. First of all they made a standard rocket engine. Then they put in a an object made flouroscent (can't spell that either). At the end they put in a filter with nearly microscopic holes. Instead of a red flame it was blue. This engine is extremly faster than a regular rocket engine (though I don't know how much). With this type of engine a travel to mars could be done. There is a second type of space travel that NASA is developing as well. This one is not a engine though. In the front of the ship a metal sheet would foldout. It is a combination of aluminum and some other material I can't remember now. When it unfolds it will expand out. The sheet is very thin. I'd say from the diagrams anywhere from one millimeter to one hundred millimeters. As it unfolds it catches solar particals. With each second it would speed up. I know it all sounds fictional (it even does to me) I swear it's true. If there is anything false in this it's this. I think aliens are real. But not the kind of alien that other people think of. I think aliens are actually humans from the future. The UFO's are time machines.
Wolffy13
10-18-2003, 06:45 PM
Well, it's a theory. I guess when mankind is ready to understand aliens, we will. Kind of like my friends paying me back money they owe me, I always get it when I need it most. You know, along those type of lines. As for this "war" ::bangs head at the term:: I have had some people say what I have guessed about it reminds them og Stephen King's "The Stand". You know, I'm starting to think Stephen King knows something most people don't. Maybe I should sit down and watch the film and find out. Now would be the time, too, I'm recovering from the stomach flu, yucky!

Okay, as far the question of the war between werewolves, I can probably set your mind at ease.
First scenario: You've just been introduced to a very popular role-playing game known as "Werewolf: the Apocalypse." It's all about werewolves fighting the forces of evil just before and during the end of the world. Viola, mystery solved.
Second scenario: You've run into some really strange people. A number of religious, groups, sects, etc. believe that the end of the world is coming. Most keep predicting that the world will end at the start of the new year (hey, who remembers Y2K?), when the third world war begins, whatever. Anyway, they keep setting "end dates" and mother nature keeps laughing.
Hope I helped a little bit.

Go ahead. Let's hear it.
Here is my theory on the end of the world. Most here may know what volcanoes are but not everyine knows is that there are super-volcanoes. Instead of it being a mountain it's more of a depression in the land. There are only a few in the entire world. One of them is in the U.S. Yellowstone National Park is beleived to be one. No one living (unless you have defied time and lived thousands of years ago) has seen one erupt. Scientists predict that when the one at Yellowstone erupts it will cover over half of the U.S. with smoke and ashes for weeks possibly even a year. On every continent on Earth is one of these super-volcanoes. If they all erupt at nearly the same time the entire planet will be covered with smoke, lava, and ash. There would be nowhere to go except possibly to the Artics.
So anyone else want to here other theories?

Next time you go to the store, take a look at this weeks Weekly World News. There is an article that states that the united states government is looking for people to hunt Werewolves and Vampires...
Not that I believe everything in that publication, but a few things they have reported on did turn out to be true.

It's prolly near impossible to sypher out were's from the nut jobs. On underworld.com, it has this sightings map where people from any place in the world can report a sighting, which shows up on the map as a dot. The vamp dot is a quarter moon and the weres are a full moon. Now all the countries have an honest amount of say, thirty per country. The U.S. is completely filled with little dots. Not one visible speck, completely covered. Their comments on the sightings are as strange as the rediculously high amount of sightings claims. It's so rediculous, I'm not going to even bother wondering how many or few weres are out there.
ThrasherCub
11-09-2003, 12:01 AM
I don't doubt it. Whack jobs are every where - and a good number of them like vampires and werewolves, since aliens can only be proved when they come to you.... you can go out on an active search for weres and leeches. Any one ever seen Wolf? Ever since then it's been common knowledge that anyone who resembles Jack Nicholson or the way he acted in that movie, is OBVIOUSLY a werewolf. *The sarcasm in that last sentence was so severe it solidified and is so dence that it would not be effected by the jaws of life*
As for a war between the weres, I doubt it's taking place, but I do believe that it could if it were to become that it became easy enough for us to shift. Why?.... this'll sound like a movie plot, and very well be one. Some of us would go "hey! I can turn into a wolf! I can protect them from poachers and I can show people they aren't bad and I can increase the population and I can run all day and be cute and fluffy... etc." and there are the psychos who'd go "Holy crap I can eat people (easier)!". So ofcouse the second group would prance about eating people and it would be the job of the good weres to stop them, because if a human ties to stop the bad were, he'll be chewed until he's no good anymore.
As for a connection between weres and the end of the world, I have reasoning there too. Humans fuck up the earth - no getting around that. We have huge polluting SUVs for reasons I simply cannot understand because you will find them mostly in areas where there can not be more that seven iotas of unpaved land.... A were however has a much better connection with the earth and it's life seeing as you can run on all fours through a forest. Basic idea: humans keep destroying the world - werewolves stop them.
Hooray.

Even if the sun does blow up then the super-volcanoes would most likely erupt anywhere from one hundred thousand to one million years from now.

I am a blade master and used to design and make swords, knives, and daggers until hurricane Isabel came and I lost just about everything. As for what I'm designing I'll say this much. It will have two SRM20M (Short Range Missile 20 Missiles), guns on the sides (haven't named them yet), and on top a cannon. The cannon will be one of my two prototypes. Yep I'm southern born, southern bred, and messed up in the head!

*sighs at the stupidity.*
This world is indeed doomed, what with you "the end of the world is coming" lunatics.
1: Space travel is already possible, give it about a year and yes there will be men on mars, they're already on their way right now.
2: Shapeshifting is not possible.
3: There will be no war between humans and werecreatures, because sorry to say a bunch of people believing their spirits are animals are not worth hunting in government eyes.
4: Sightings are just whackos seeking attention or are high on drugs like it has been for decades.
5: I am open minded, a believer of therianthropy, and a lover of werewolves and the like (literally, my girlfriend is one).. but I am also a realist and apparently you "a war is coming" people are not.
6: Everyone has had, or will have, an apocalyptic "war world" scenario dream at some point, or often maybe, it's called imagination and games, movies, TV series, cartoons, comics and novels have all focused on a similar scenario. Why? Because it makes good fiction and interesting dreams. Imagination is a great thing isn't it, but you'll be amazed at how similar dreams are between people miles apart. We all have human minds, after all.

Amen to that.
I was beginning to wonder if there were any people here who had kept touch with reality.
Oh, and by the way, there are *always* natural disasters just "waiting" to happen (in at least several thousand/ million/ thousand million years). I already knew about the supervolcano one, also sometime in the next few (thousand) years part of an island is going to slide into the south Atlantic Ocean, causing a mega-tsunami (a tsunami is a giant tidal wave) to travel all the way across the ocean; apparently it will hit New York and the surrounding area. Hmmm, what else... there are alwasy those conspiratorialists who will say there is a secret underground organisation/ the government, which is planning the end of the world for some dark purpose. And of course there are those who are constantly predicting World War Two.
The sad fact is, there is always, sometime in the future, something big and terrible about to happen. You can't go wrong by predicting that. But very rarely does it affect the whole world, much less end it. This is where fantasy takes over once again.

How would you define reality? How can you prove if something is real? What is real now may not be real tomorrow or was not real yesterday. Reality can change as everything else does except one thing.
And of course there are those who are constantly predicting World War Two.
Please catch up with the times. World War Two happened years ago. Or am I wrong once again?

actually, we can get into a big discussion and probably have a big 20 page thread of the theory of revativty (purpose of being) Vause how do you know ur here? This could all be a long dream, and when you die, you wake up (course this could be reincarnation). So how can you prove you are here on earth, as you are now? If you think you can't spell in dreams, your wrong, because 3 times i went to sleep , while i was in a dream, and i kept waking up to something eating me, this one part i can remember; i'm in a school hall, and there is this bear at the end of it. You know what happens next. In anycase, please do go on with this, i want to see how much this goes to :D

Dreams are one of the most complex and (in a way) simple things. Though I can not prove it me, my cousin, and a friend once had the same dream on the same night at the same time. This whole world we all live in could be like one of those dreams.
