Nov. 13, 2005

WWE is deeply saddened by the news that Eddie Guerrero has passed away. He was found dead this morning in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and daughters Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3.

My friend just called and asked me to log onto WWE.com because he heard that Eddie had passed away. Sadly, it's true. Apparently there isn't much information out there yet. I enjoyed watching him wrestle. Too sad.

Are there any other sources about this? I think he's far to young to die for apparantly no reason, and I wouldn't be suprised if he appears at the next important WWE fight and the announcers go "zomg he back from dead" and then he hits a dude with a chair.

If he did pass away though, that's tragic. (no sarcasm intended if it looks like it was suppose to be there)

Are there any other sources about this?

I'm searching the websites that give good info now.

Ya, I heard about this yesterday. They don't know the cause of his death at the moment, thought he did have a history of drug abuse. It's sad that he left three kids behind. I'll miss him, too.

Article here saying he died of heart failure (although that can be due to a multiple of sins).

Although the Sun from which it comes isnt best known for being too reputable a newspaper.

Also his Wikipedia page has already been updated with details of his death ...

Hey, my father knew him.

Just the other day we got a phone call from a man named Carmine Despirito and he told us about it.

Eddie died while brushing his teeth, heart failure.

Its a sad day when wrestlers this young go.

Just for the record, yes, Eddie had abused pain killers in the past but had been clean for four years when he died. Granted, even past abuse can take a toll long term, but I think it's important to make the distinction. He was a great entertainer and will be missed.

He was 38 years old when he died, and Tia is correct, he left behind 3 daughters, the youngest of which is 3 years old. I really do feel for his family. Rest in peace, Eddie.
