I took my son today to a Football / Soccer match at Reading.

It's been a while since I've been to a live Football match, and I'd forgotten the whole chanting side of it ...

Perhaps the most bizarre, as Reading were playing against Brighton (which is well known for it's thriving gay scene) were chants of "Does your boyfriend know you're here".

Are chants a UK only thing or do you get them elsewhere? Do you get them in American football?

The cleverer chants are sometimes really good. But often they're the products of the minds of football wanker sadly.
The Brighton one was good though (and I bet they've never heard it before as well). Strangely I've been to Brighton a lot and never encountered a gay scene there. Now Portsmouth is a different story entirely...

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!
Oi, Oi, Oi!

But that's for most sports.
