This is the thread where you tell me your stories, has anyone here actually seen these creatures? If you have, post your experiences here.

when you say creatures..you mean what?.....I HAVE seen something once before, though. Don't know what it was, never saw it a second time. I guess I had it coming to me, taking a walk in the middle of the night way past curfew. It happened last summer, I just explained half of it, I was simply taking a walk late at night, down my road, I used to do it a lot until it got me grounded :p I'd never go far, I always tried not to let it be known that I left, I tried going once everybody was asleep. Anyway, I was on my way back home, I was really pretty close to my house. It was a fairly clear night, of course I can see pretty good in the dark. I was just walking, and I passed this big, black, shadowy thing that was on the side of the road in the ditch. I thought it was the shadow of something, or a bush, maybe, I don't really know what I thought, I didn't have much time to assume it was something normal before it MOVED. I just passed it, but I was still looking at it from behind me, and then, it moved really quick, backwards, into the ditch. It scared me more than anything in this world has ever scared me before. I took off running as fast as I could and about fell over in my driveway. I came in the house, got a little cleaned up, and tried going straight to bed, as though nothing happened. It didn't work too well, I was a wee bit freaked out! I got to sleep eventually.
Now, I'm not totally sure how much I can describe this thing that I saw. It was bigger than me, too thick to be a deer, made no noise whatsoever, I didn't smell anything weird. I couldn't make out much of an outline with it being as dark as it was. It was waaay too big for a dog of any kind, and it looked to be on its hind legs, but crouching over. Like I said, it moved really quick backwards. Other than that, there's nothing else I can say about it, I wasn't close enough, and it was dark, so I couldn't make out any other features of it, it was just a big black thing. (Really could've been any dark color, it was just dark.) Anyway, that's my story, say what you want about it, I'm not assuming it was anything in particular, I have no idea what it was. I know it couldn't have been a bear, they don't live around here, nor is there any nearby zoo. There was no wind at the time, I posted this in another forum and somebody suggested that it was a really big garbage bag that blew over in the wind.

BCbonRafus: by wierd I mean supernatural, strange, etc. and was this thing humanoid in form, or a quadruped?
Now I have to tell someone about my strage experience I guess.
I once went on a trip to LaPine, where my uncle and cousins live.
It was in January and very snowy, so I was sledding. I had decided to walk back to my uncle's house alone. On the way back, I heard a strange voice floating on the wind, accompanied by a flute. I remember exactly what it said...Over the hills and far away, is where my home town lies... but by the time that line was over, the music had gotten too far away to hear anymore.
The fuunny thing was, that when I asked everybody else if they had heard it, they said they hadn't. My assumptions, due to the altitude and climate, were that the music had come from a clan of Gray Elves, who delight in such activities. After that day, I have heard more music coming from my own back yard in the middle of the night, I assumed these were wood elves, living in the trees.

About three years ago I was coming home late from work and I was dead tired. You know, the sore all over and want nothing better to do than drop face down on the bed and sleep for a century or two. Anyway, I decided that I'd have a smoke before I got everything in order and then crash. So I went outside onto my back patio without turing on the light and lit my cigarette. I'm just standing there minding my own business when I hear something off to my right. A rustling of bushes and such. I think nothing of it because I've got cats and dogs roaming the neighborhood and I ignore the sound. The sound dies down for a few seconds, I'm still puffing away on my cancer stick, but then the sound starts up again. More insistent this time, like whatever it was is trying to get my attention. Instinctively I turn and look, don't know why I can't see in the dark. Anyway, to noise stops once I look over. I see nothing but shadows from the bushes and trees around my house. I'm still staring at the bush where the sound came from and still killing myself a little bit quicker with my cancer stick when I get this cold chill up my spine and I break out in a cold sweat. I swear my heart doubled its pace and I couldn't breathe if my life depended on it. I can't take my eyes away from the bush I've been staring at and my cigarette's alreay burned down to the filter and it's burning something fierce in my hand. I can't move now, can't drop my cigarette even though it's burning my fingers. I'm getting real scared now because I can't move or say anything and then that's when I hear it. This low moan coming from the bushes. It's strange, not human sounding at all, and nothing I've ever heard any animal I know of make. By now I am about to give myself a little gift and package it up in my pants, but I still can't move. I just stand there staring into the shadows and listening to that awful sound. Then along with the low moaning I hear people talking off in the distance, like their voices were carried in on the wind, and I don't know what their saying. It's all jumbled and too far away. The moaning gets a little louder and the voice get more soft. The bushes rustle again and this time I see them move and I am terrorfied. I don't know what's in that bush and I don't know what's making that sound and those stupid voice are bugging the heck out of me. Then it all stops. And I'm standing there still staring and thinking I've gone crazy, until that damn bush moves again and this time I hear a voice, clear and resonant and so close to me I want to scream. I didn't understand what the voice said at first and I didn't care. All I waited was to be able to move and run back into my house, shut and lock all the windows and doors and hide under the covers like a five year old kid. But that damn bush moves again and that voice is back. "Come here, little one," it says and Holy Christ I dying, or at least my heart's making feel like I am dying. because it's beating over time and I swear I thought I was going to have a heartattack. I don't move, I can't because I am so freaking scared, and that voice is still talking to me. "Come here, little one." Yeah right, like I am gonna do that.
Suddenly I see the eyes. The light from my neighbor’s patio reflects off them like a cat's eyes would. It's telling me to come to them again and suddenly I can move and I'm gone. In the house, shutting and locking the patio door and into my bedroom where I call my friend, paniced and crying and telling him to come over and acting like the typical scared female that I always scream in the movies.
To this day I don't know what that thing was in my bush and I don't know if what I heard and feltwas caused by exhaustion. All I know is I don't smoke outside anymore withtout a light on. Whatever it was, real or not, scared the living daylights out of me and I hope never to hear that voice again. It's still vivid in my mind like it happened only yesterday.

Yeah this is a bit late apparently, but the thing I saw: I couldn't tell whether it was bipedal or quadrupedal, it could've been a quadruped easily. If not, a humanoid shape hunched over. But it was biiiig, if any HUMANOID, I'm talkin SUMO BIG!! And I live nowhere near any oriental countries :p That's all I have to describe it, like I said, it WAS dark, even if I could see OK in the dark. It was bear-sized, I'd have to say, but trust me, this wasn't a bear.

Hmmm... I guess I have an interesting story, although most of it can be explained... but whatever. Ok, my mom told me that she was up really late one night, so it was about 4 AM. She heard a wierd noise coming from somewhere near my neighbors house and she though it was the neighbors dog. Our neighbor is very old and frail so she thought that maybe she fell and the dog was barking because it sounded frantic. So she opened the door and tried to see over to the house, but, of course it was too dark. She finally heard this sound come from across the street. She waited a couple seconds and suddenly she heard it right next to her, freaked out and shut the door really quickly. She imitated the noise when she told me the story. The day after that little ordeal, the same neighbor that my mom thought was hurt, found the window to her cellar broken in, 1 cat dead and the other 2 missing. Later during the week, my mom called my dad and I out onto the deck and we heard the thing. It sounded like the howl of a red wolf because of that wierd rough barking quality but higher pitch and dragged out more like the call of a hawk. didn't hear it again after that.
We think it might just be some wierd dog-like creature, but maybe the cats managed to push the window open. And because one cat came back a month later, that maybe the dead one got hit by a car and came back to die, and the other two just ran around until one came home. By now, the last missing cat would be dead. I liked the story better before we could explain stuff. -_-
But, we don't know how the cats could have ripped the window out of the frame when it was in there pretty strong.
And the women living in the house didn't hear anything because she takes her hearing aid out at night.

Mine happened during dusk so everything had a nice soft deep pink glow on it. I went walking in my fields still looking for a lost calf of mine. Well anyway I jsut enters a cospe of trees and a heard a low growl. I am used to wild animals like bob cats and wolves and such so I backout out slowly and went on my way.
But I still had an uneasy feeling like I was being followed. so I looked up at the ridge beside me just as something dissapeared in the brush. By this time I had a mega flow of adrenaline in my blood. I heard the calf call jsut up ahead, so I was anxious to get it and get outa there. Still feeling eyes burn into the back off my skull I quickened my pace, I found the calf. It had falled into a small gorge that had been dug for the river rocks that mad the ground in that small area. I slid down the ravine and pinned the scared creature down.
Picking up the newborn I puy him over my shouhlders and began the wlak home. But jsut as I turned around a GIGANTIC beast stood at the top of the wall examining me with its highly intelligent eyes. In the failing light I could see it real well but I knew it was to big to be a wolf or a couger so I tought bear, but the build was'ent right for a bear. Right as I was about to start backing away in looked away as if hearing someting and ran off. I jsut about ran home with that calf on my back

Hi- I thought a werewolf was coming here for the past 3 months. Something with big ears that stood 9ft tall has been lurking around my property. I saw it and it leaped up onto my deck running into my bar gazebo.. I thought it was gonna rip off my deck. Shook my house. A racoon can't do that lol Maybe a bear but this thing did not look like a bear. Also does a bear walk on the roof? oh well. Lately nothing's been happening here. I told my husband I'd like to set up some night cams to prove what it is running around here.
NOPE I'm not crazy. I know what I saw and heard, my 15yr old son also saw it leap off our deck and he said it was a werewolf. Either he's messing with my mind or he's telling the trueth. When he told me he was pale as if he saw a ghost so I believe him. My husband always looks at our roof when we come home at night lol.. I said hun what are you looking for? He said nothing.. I said I thought you didn't believe us? lol Maybe he's affraid he'll get pounced? Or maybe he did see something on our roof on his way out to work. and is just not telling us? He's a huge skeptic.. The only way he'd believe in anything is if it bit him in the butt..
K well you wanted to know my experience. I told ya. Take it easy :)

Never seen a werewolf in my life, or anything resembling one. I don't really believe in them.

well, iv had one odd experiance. My aunt and uncle have a farm out in maine, and i went there to stay for awhile during summer vacation of last year. They live on the outskirts of a very small town called caribou. I was up there for about a week, and i had heard some noises outside the house several times during the night, but hey, its maine! I thought it was a moose or something, or racoons in the garbage. It was the 8th day of being there, and it was now my job to take out the trash. I had forgotten to earlier that day, and now it was very dark, and my aunt was telling me off about it. I got the trash and proceeded to take it outside to the garbage bins behind the house. I was walking around the house when I heard a loud noise. I froze, and watched as a bunch of trash was tossed from behind the house. My first thought, racoons, second thought, racoons dont have that kind of strength, so I thought, bear. It was very dark, but the light from the side of the house cast some light around the corner as I turned it to see what was raiding our trash cans. I froze the second my head was around the corner, and watched as a very large, dark figure hunched over the trash. It was dark, so I couldnt see its shape very well, but it was too thin to be a bear, and much too big to be a racoon. It was kind of hunched, but i think it was about 6 or 7 feet tall. It must have smelled me, because the next second it had stopped, it let out a very low and harsh growl, and with what id call heavy footsteps, took off into the woods behind our house. I simply dropped the trash and ran back into the house, scared out of my mind, and told my uncle to do the trash. he said he didnt see anything, but that all the trash bags had been ripped to shreds in a way he had never seen, except by bears. I told him what I saw was NOT a bear. He didnt believe me. It ran on all fours, but with an uneven stride...like its arms were less powerful then its legs. and i think it had a tail. but then again, it was dark. very dark.
