Google is your friend, as is Wikipedia.
Wiki Alchemy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alchemy)

I'm told this book is quite good though I don't have it myself:
"Alchemy, It's Not Just for the Middle Ages Anymore" by Mark Stavish, M.A.

Remember that there's a whole lot more to Alchemy than simply turning lead into gold and the Philosopher's Stone. You've picked a very complex subject if you wish to do it proper justice.

Here's a site I go to when there's something about Alchemy I need to know about:

Wow. The ancient art of becoming more than a God. You're writting a school paper on that!?

I give ya props on that. If there's anything you encounter that just confuses the hell out of you, PM me or pop up on MSN messenger (wwonparade@hotmail. com) - I actually know an alchemist in the GD.

Read up on the Rosicrucian Order. They were alchemists. It wasn't only about turning lead into gold. Here's a link you might find helpful.
