Hi all.
I am so happy that I found a place that could mabey help me. First let me get through the boring stuff.
Names John, nice to meet ya. Ka here we go.
I have for about six months or so been having this odd (but wonderfull) feeling that there is something inside of me wanting to come out. When ever I wake up I can almost feel this big cat yawning and strecthing like it just woke up. I have not been sleeping all that well in the last six months so I noticed it. I am a religous person (for lack of a better term lets say pagan :) and I was wondering if there is a type of meditation or something that I could do to let this poor beast out. Some please help me. Dont please, just dismiss me and call me crazy like so many others have done. I know Im not crazy, I can feel it, deep within me, and want to let it out. (For the better I hope!) I feel like it is a gift and I want to experence it all. Please help.

It could be your way of translating sexual tension? How old are you? Young? If that's it, it could just be puberty. Different people have different ways of translating emotions. To let the cat out of the bag, excuse my pun, you could try exercising alot, by running, swimming, whatever. Physical activity can help cure alot of mental difficulties. Try it.

Yes wraywolf is right.
There is very little that exercise cannot fix. (at least from a mental standpoint) it gets rid of alot of negative mental energy and leaves you feeling good.

Ah there are cats here. I wandered in quite accidently you know, its not a habit of mine walking in amongst a pack of dogs- luckily the exit is quite close, even so if one of you wolf types so much as flashes a whisker of threat in my direction I will claw your eyes out.
Er by the way i'm new here, I don't suppose a cat is welcome to join the shelter from humanity would it?

Firstly I know everyone else means well, but how do you get sexual tention and puberty out of 'not sleeping well'?
Striving, try any sortof meditation or relaxation techniques that feel right for you, even if it's just to relax the mind and body. you'll find that the simplist of relaxation exercises will do you a world of good.
A bit of soulsearching might be helpful as well, it's how I managed to achieve inner balance and complete intergration with my wolf and leopard.

How did you achieve the balance between the two species? I'm having problems on that front. The cat is more dominant, there's no actual conflict, but because the presence of canid is so placid within I can't even distinguish the species.

Once I acepted my wolf, which made itself apparent first, my leopard side emerged. I then accepted that, and strove myself to intergrate the two.
It's hard to explain, I just did it.
Idon't like being parts, I like being one single whole. So I ddi the logical thing (to me) and strove for complete intergration and inner balance ebtween all parts of myself.
Purrhaps the reason your canine part is so placid is because you haven't fully acepted and achived a balance between your human and feline sides yet. Eitehr that, or the canine part is a spirit guide, or 'purrsonality quirk', not really a wereside at all.
My husband has something similar with a lynx purrsonality inside, which isn't at all a part of himself, more like a piece of 'mpd'.
Something the mind says 'this is the closest fit to this part of myself, so we'll call it this for symbolism.'
You might find once you strive to balance yourself that it either fades away into nothing, or becomes stronger until you can deal with it properly.
I found it interesting that my feline side never showed itself until I'd completely become comfortable and balanced with my wolf. Almost as if the 'seeds' inside me were waiting for the right time to emerge.
So, I'd probably suggest soulsearching and meditation also for you. I know soulsearching as a word is very broad, but what it actualy means is being 'with' your inner self. it's not searching at all, but rather putting yourself in a relaxed state and allowing yourself to 'see' inside you. Sort of like reverse astral travel. :)
The best way that worked for me, was to empty my mind of all thoughts and expectations, complete relaxation and use visualisation techniques to 'see' inside.
It works differently for everyone, so don't think there's one set thing you have to do.

Thanks Fluffy, you're a great help and yes you are probably right. The cat has been me and me it since whenever, but only in the last couple of years have I stopped fighting it and actually begun to embrace it and be at one with it. I feel much happier in myself because of it. The canid on the other hand, I'm not sure how long its been around, I've been aware of it for many tears, but it seems to shift beneath my inner vision like a shadow of a doubt and I thought maybe it was nothing more than just an over active imagination. When I was pregnant with my son (5 years ago) I had a dream that I was a wolf, I was seeing through my eyes as a wolf. I was laying in tall grass near my house, everything looked black and white, but then it was to be expected as it was night-time in my dream. I looked down and saw my own paws and suddenly I felt scared, like holy crap I'm a wolf what if I never become human again? The next thing I am seeing the wolf that was me through human eyes, that is, I was looking down on the wolf which was still laying in the grass near to my home, and I drifted away then woke up. At the time I thought it was just a weird dream, but recently or at least since I embraced the cat I'm wondering if there is more to the wolf dream than i originally thought. Of course I just might be going slowly insane, or as you say- it may be nothing more than a symbol by which to interpretate my a part of my personality. Ah well, time and meditation will tell
