This topic will be to discuss fast food. Do you like fast food? Is it a good or bad thing? If you have fast food where do prefer to get it from?

Personally, I like fast food and in moderation it isn't bad for you (although some people go overboard and have it almost everyday!). My favourite fast food is McDonald's, the chinese takeway, or good ol' fashioned fish 'n' chips.

What about you? What are your preferences and views?

I like fast food, And I also believe it's completely fine in moderation, My favourite outlets are: Buger king, Chinese, Fish and chips and KFC, and I will never say no to a bacon cheeseburger.

In n' Out for fast food burgers (although I have yet to get a 'three by three'.)
Quizno's for sammiches.
*erto's for Mexican (there are a good number of completely unrelated taco/Mexican food stands all over SD, all ending with -erto.)

I can't think of too many more. I try to avoid McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, et al, if I possibly can. I'll go to Carl's Jr. though in a pinch.

A lot of moderation. A Burger King burger and fries will run you about 1,000 calories and probably 100% of the RDA of sodium.

Having said that, I do indulge from time to time.

I like Wendy's and Arby's the best. Although Arby's tends to be a bit too pricey sometimes. Wendy's is close to the blockbuster I work at (for another week) and open until 1am so if I get hungry after work I can stop there, although that will be changing soon and Ill be closer to the mall and get
chick-fil-a. (sorry if i botched that, i havnt been there in a while) :)

There is this place in Oregon called Burgerville. All their food is from locally owned farms, they use canolla oil and fresh fruit and real milk. Their burgers are 100% angus. Its one of the best fast food places I have ever been too. Oh and their sweet potatoe fries are amazing.

Burgerking is a very usefully sterile, nasty place.
It's also tasty :)

I hate fast food. Is it just me, or am I slower then fast food?

(bad joke.)

Anybody who loves A&W here?

I will eat fast food from time to time. But if I do, I eat usually at Burger King ( I hate McDonald's!) or Wendy's. Although there is a really good place near my town called Wang Palace, the best place for chinese food!

I think that eating fast food every day is bad because of all the calories and gross oils, but, come on, who can resist a really good hamburger!?

The only place I will get fast food from is Jack in the box.
God damn, I love those curly fries.

Hehehehe...

Burger King, Chick Fil-A, Arby's, Sonic, Wendy's, Long John Silver's, and Sbarro's are some of my favorites. Never really had a taste for McDonald's.

It is within reason to compare heaven and Taco Bell.

I like fast food but for me McDonalds is at the bottom in my opinion... I've just heard too much going on with the local ones I haven't had a taste for them.

But the best, I mean the absolute BEST fast food I've ever had is Bojangles. If there is a heaven on earth, it is within the kitchen of Bojangles with their cajun fried chicken, seasoned potato wedges, sweet tea, and cinnamon roles.

Plus it's really cool that Bojangles started in the same state I live in ^_^

I would have to agree with West on this. I swear I could eat Taco Bell every day.

We so need Taco Bell here. I'd love to try it.

I don't know if it counts but on Saturday's there's a local burger van. They do the best darn sausage baps I have ever had! I haven't tried their burgers yet. A chip-shop in town does the tastiest cheeseburgers.

Just another question to throw in: how often do you go for fast food? I tend to have fast food once or twice a week (if twice it's usually once to mcdonald's and once to the chippy). I probably shouldn't but I can't be arsed with healthy diets and stuff - what's the point? It means I'll miss the food I love and I'm going to die anyway. I love food, I'd rather eat somewhat recklessly and enjoy it than eat carefully and hate it.

When I lived at home, I would probably eat fast food maybe four or five times a week. Since I've gone to college, I haven't had any fast food. Is that backwards or what?

I think it might be a matter of availability but then I wouldn't know. At one point the nearest McDonald's was 60 miles away and the nearest fast-food place was 8 miles away and crud. The nearest fast-food place that didn't make you retch was over 20 miles away. So, suffice to say, I had fast-food about two to three times a year. Then McDonald's was built and in my book that's worth the 20 mile trip. So I ended up with fast-food about once ever one or two months.

Now that I've moved those 20 miles and live within a two minute walk from McDonald's (which is a very clean place - ours is anyway. They have CCTV feeds of the entire kitchen where you can see the food being prepared and this is shown on a TV visible to anyone inside - so we can see for ourselves the food being prepared and cooked) I now have fast-food once to twice a week.

The funny thing is my checkups from each of these time periods all show that while my fast-food indulgences has increased my general health status has remained the same!

Depends on my money situation, sometimes Ill go up to a month without having any fast food despite working by a numerous amount on one stretch of road. Othertimes 2-3 times a week if im working a lot of closing shifts.

Burger King, Jack In The Box, and In N' Out Burger. The top if you ask me. Although unfortunately Jack in the Box and In N' Out Burger are back home on the west coast. *grumbles* Some people have asked me, "How you can eat the stuff? You should read Fast Food Nation." My reply: Because it's there, and becuase it's only a 2 minute walk from the paintball place. Also, I have read Fast Food Nation, and yes, I still eat the stuff. Somewhat disturbing book.

Even though Braums is known for their fab ice cream, they also make some kick-ass bacon cheeseburgers.

Arby's is also one of my favorites when it comes to fast food. Their roast beef is awesome and you can't beat their curly fries.

There is also Taco Mayo. They have the best cheap Mexican fast food anywhere around. They have this awesome salsa bar where I smother my taco salads in pico de gallo and salsa verde.

And, personally... I think that McDonalds is WAY overrated.

Thank you! Couldn't have said it better myself (cause I didn't). I can honestly say that I have never been to McDonalds even once in my life.

I'll never eat at Wendy's again. My friends have worked there, and I've heard WAY too many stories about their food. I think I'd have been happier not knowing...

Places I'll actually go? McDonald's, Arby's, Subway, and Culver's. X3 Culver's has the BEST chicken ever.

You like the fires too? I like it when they forget to turn off the stove, then the fire keeps going, untill..... (insert explosion word besides "boom"):D

I can honestly say that I have never been to McDonalds even once in my life. Then how do you know that it is overrated or whether you'd like it? Everybody's tastebuds and preferences are different so unless you try it yourself you'll never know.

I never said that I didn't like it. I might like it, actually I probably would cause it's food. If it's edible i'll eat it. My sence of taste is very poor, I have a hard time distiguishing food tastes. I know it's overrated cause I've talked to people who have eaten there enough about it to form an opinion.

I might go to KFC once every two months or so, or when my DnD group is going late and nobody can be bothered cooking (which generally equates to the same thing anyway). Other than that, I don't eat that much, even though I live over the road from 3 fast food places. I'm simply not interested and my student budget is better spent elsewhere.

On the non-chain fast food, I'm not sure if it counts, but every now and then I'll treat myself to an iced chocolate at the campus's coffee bar. And since I have to make an early start when heading home from where I live during the semester, I'll often grab pancakes at Hungry Jacks on the way past.

So I might eat fast food once a month.
