UC Santa Cruz is the banana slugs (http://www.ucsc.edu/about/campus_mascot.asp).. .a rather nonthreatening mascot, if you ask me.

Hey you take that back. One time when I was at 5th grade camp I woke up with one firmly adhered to my face. When I think of making people cry, I totally think of Banana slugs and therefore think they make a great mascot.
