Some of us are furries, yes, but Therianthropy does not equall Furryfandom.

For the record, I am one of said furries. Also on the record, I'm not a big creep about it. I just think tails are cute and I want one of my own.

There are alot of furries about the site, Another one right here, But therianthropy and spirituality isn't really the place to ask about it, as it doesn't really apply to any of them.

Not a furry, and I've had to work with enough of the annoying ones to say I outright detest a lot of furries but at the same time I do have some friends that do not over do it and are not outwardly furry. Much like Thrashercub.

It is kind of like otaku, I cannot stand people who make their lives anime. But I enjoy some anime myself I just do not make a big deal out of it.

and I agree with what was said before. Furrydom is not a spirituality, it's a choice of lifestyle and even orientation. If you believe it is valid to discuss in this forum please explain.

*Raises hand* I genuinly feel naked and incomplete because I do not have a tail or pokey canine ears. I can almost feel them, like a memory kind of, and my furriness is an attempt to make manifest my spiritual existence. Much like how a man who claims to be a woman born into a man's body may cross-dress or go through gender reassignment surgeries I wear a tail and occasionally canid ears because I just feel better if I look in the mirro and I have ears or reach behind and I have a tail. They might not be my own, but at least it's something.

And I am not alone in this. I have known other furries who feel the same way.

For the record, I also hate furries who are annoyingly furry. It's a lot like preachy religious zealots or homosexuals who are literally nothing but gay.

I shall begin with that I did not expect that this theme will be so to you it is interesting, perhaps its arrangement is not so correct, but I here the newcomer... And in general still not all themes has translated.

To define furry:
A Furry is someone who enjoys anthropomorhic art, literature, and things of that nature. Also, may wear furry suits,( which are basically mascot suits). Some may enjoy the art, while others take it on the route to sexual perversion.

If I had missed anything, please, someone fill the gaps. Also, since i'm not a furry, how about someone who is define it... Just to have all bases covered.

Because either no one has reported it or a mod hasn't seen it. But at the same time it was posed the question what would make this a valid topic and Thrasher brought some insight to the table.

And in reality "you" would not have been flamed, how you presented your idea may have been.

I enjoy anthropomorphic art. Which includes Weres,other animals, or anthropomorphic depictions of deities... But I highly doubt this makes me a furry. That means the animators at disney - or what have you - (mickey, goofy, donald duck) are all furries too. Haha. Maybe they are?
