I had a dream that my friends and I were preparing some sort of raid on a building downtown. For some reason, in this world many people still carried a sword. I had never learned to use the sword, because (as always) I was a werewolf. Having claws and some really sharp fangs, I had never seen a need to learn to use a sword: on top of that, no school would teach a werewolf to use a sword, because they were considered barbarians and witless beasts. So a friend of mine (who's into ninjas, IRL, BTW) was going to teach me to use a sword. The lesson went pretty badly, because I'm a firm believer in brute strength and I thought it would be a good idea to swing the sword like a bat. Anway, the day ended and we had this raid to go to the next day. We were going to sneak in and steal something, but I don't remember exactly what.
Anyway, I decided that I would go out and get a wicked awesome sword to use, because that would probably help my somewhat deficient fencing skills. Now, there were two fine swords on the hill at the center of town, in front of the Town Hall. One was the sword of an ancient hero, who had helped build the town. The sword was worn and old, but the blade was still fine and it was a noble weapon. The second sword was one that had belonged to an infamous villain who had destroyed the old town that had stood there before the current one was founded. It was a magnificent weapon, with a wicked razor blade, but it was an ignoble weapon and was considered dishonorable. Humans could not remove the blades from the rock they were in, but according to legend a 'demon' such as I could do it (althought I suspect that was merely because no humans were strong enough to pull the swords out). I took both swords at the time, but ended up adopting the bandit's blade later on.
It seems to me that that means something, but I don't know exactly what. ANy thoughts?
