View Full Version : Thinking like an animal

Lately i've been finding my self thinking like an animal. Like, now since theres scare crows all over the place (you know the cute cartoonish ones?) I found my self looking at one in a resturant saying in my head "That would be fun to play with." Or if I see a bunch of little birds on the ground or in the yard I have the urge to go chase them. Does anyone have this? Is this a type of mental shift?
It kind of suprised me when I thought about the scarecrow... I mean I didn't just say it like I was pretending to want to play with it.. It just came out. In my head though. You know how a dog plays with a rope toy, I wanted to play with it like that. Rip it to shreds, etc.
And then when I went to the dentist, I was right in front of a window and saw little sparrows doing their bird jobs on the grass.. and collecting stuff... and I wanted to go chase them around.

.I'v been told that when i become frighted or angry I take on the habits or trates of a cat or wolf. When I was a child I convised my self that I had been raised by wolves

Thinking like an animal..hmm, oddly enough, sometimes I get the thought that goes through my head that I should be out hunting, on certain moonlit nights, running through a forest, chasing prey...it's a lovely thought, but then it passes and life returns to normal.
That's just me.

I don't think it means anything. I crawl up my stairs, (It's probably because I'm too lazy to walk up) I eat with my hands, (French fries!!! ) and I bite.... a lot. But I think it's just cause I'm weird.

I think it's true that there are certain attributes, especially in hunting, that people share with wolves. I go up to the mountains sometimes to be wolfy, and a lot of the time when I'm up there I hunt deer. Not with a gun; I don't want to kill them, I just want to chase them and see if I could catch them. Wolfy.
On the other hand, if you're trying to convince people that you're less wolfy than you seem, don't refer to them as monkeys. The day before Halloween, a guy started asking me a lot of ignorant questions about werewolves (if I was going to turn into a wolf on Halloween night, if I was going to go on a mad rampage, if he could bring his little brother to watch). He was eating a banana. ANd Grim shouted, "Shut your nanner-hole, monkey boy! Ignorant little pink, two-legged, stumpy faced freak of nature..." I would have said more (I guess), but I realized that I was going on in exactly the wrong vein there.
So it wasn't pretty.

I do that most of the time. I don't hunt without a gun (I have the stregnth, the animals are just too fast). Though when I get into fights people say I have lightning fast reflexes at dodging and moving in small area. I try to fight like a wolf most of the time.

I crawl up the stairs, well not crawling, but since the length of your legs feel balanced out with the length of you arms it just seems easier to run up the stairs on all fours. But then I have to stand up when I get to the top. It hurts my back to walk like that all the time. Crawling is fun sometimes.

I crawl up the stairs as well, although not lately since my sister caught me doing it and asked what the hell I was doing.
When I look at birds or small mammals, I find myself thinking, "Hmm. I bet that would taste good." Then I realize what I thought and wonder where that came from. When I'm angry, I think like a jaguar (or at least how I think they think), like I'm on autopilot. I can see people's weak traits and analyze how to take advantage of that. But, I am naturally deceitful. :)

I normally don't like scaring birds, but yesterday I was trotting around feeling kinda wolfy and I saw some birds and, feeling all puppy-ish, gleefully galloped into them. I stopped myself when they started to fly away and then apologized....

I get the urge to chase after rabbits if i see them running. A couple times i did. If i'm running at night i'll get the urge to drop down on all fours and run.

i crawl up the stairs too. the other day a friend saw me doing it and laughed and asked what i was doing. at first i couldn't think of an answer so i just gave her a dumb smile and said something i like i don't know. i don't really know if it's considered animal like but i really like to eat dinner alone in my room with the plate on my lap and using my fingers. it may sound stange but i've noticed that i never enjoy baked chicken unless i'm eating it with my fingers...it's almost as though it tastes different with a fork.

I don't like eating with silverware, either. I hate the metallic taste of it. It makes me feel dirty. :D
ok, I have serious problems with that. I constantly growl and am always "lumbering" i think more slowching but whatever lol
always had that tendency but the biting thing is a definant issue.

I saw a squirrel in someone's front yard while we were driving somewhere.. I literally shouted out, "SQUIRREL!" it was funny. Good thing he wasn't running.. or i'd have to go chase him! lol

I was in a car last night, and we saw a fox running across the road. Grim blurted out, "FOX! ARHHH- ugh! FOX!" The thing in the middle was supposed to be words, but I was so suprised it just came out as a sort of bark.
That, and in the fields down by where I work, there are rabbits that are fat and lazy. The wolves down there eat them. Sometimes I chase them. I can catch the small ones. I don't want to eat them, I just want to know that I can catch them.

I crawl up stairs at home. Once I instinctively did it at school, but my health teacher gave me the weirdest look and asked if I was all right. I said, "Uh, yeah, I tripped" but I think she doubted me. :D
I have a pet rat, and I've never thought about eating him, but my mouse has raised thoughts of food before. And I growl when I get mad. Without meaning to.

Yep I run upstairs on all fours too. I like jumping on and off my furniture. I love stalking rabbits. I purrrrrrr when i am content, and any time I see a dead animal my stomach grumbles. I can't walk past a meat stall without drooling. Incidently I collect skulls, one time I found this roadkill pigeon, it was very fresh and very warm and I wanted its bones for my reference collection. I took it home, somehow the warmth of its fresh dead body in my hands had a wonderful appeal- the bird was food- seriously I couldn't stop these thoughts of eating it go away. Anyway I sat down to skin and cut the carcass. The sight of deep red breast meat was to much for me- I cut it out, slapped it on the grill and ate it- it was the most delicious morsel I have ever tasted. I have this really weird thing with bacon- I can't stand the stuff unless its raw, and then its the most pleasurable tatse ever. Oh yeah I also like chewing the ends off chicken bones. I like a good thick carpet to scratch or certain types of wall paper have the same 'scratch this' appeal. I think thats about it for my 'odd' behaviour.

yah. I tend to do the whole running up stairs on all fours thing to. even though I am a vampire by nature I have many animal qualities. particularly those of a wolf, and as someone said earlier I have very fast reflexes when I fight. most of the time I will growl when I'm angry or excited (freaks the hell out of everyone at school) but only when I'm really pissed will I fight animal style (crouched over biting and clawing)
