Meet Holley Mangold.

Holley Mangold is 16 years old and is currently a varsity football player for Alter Highschool in Ohio. For the past 2 years she has played both defensive and offensively in junior varsity. Sure there have been girls in football before but never before has there been an girl play as an offensive line backer.

The love for football came from her brother, Nick Mangold who is currently first season rookie for the Jets. As a child Holley saw Nick playing football and having fun and she followed right in his footsteps. For her it's more than just being part of the game, she gets a rush like no other.

At 5'9, 310lbs Holley is definitely a formidable opponent on the field and in fact she set a record this year. On August 25, 2006 Holley started as right guard against Fairmont in the Ohio State division. It was the very first time that a girl played a down from scrimmage in a Division 1 game in Ohio State football history.

But while Holley loves and lives football she is also very good at other sports. Don't under estimate Holley. She make look large but she is definitely in charge. She participates in Discus, Shot put, and set the AAU girls record for squat lifting at 525 pounds, breaking the old mark of 470.

So look out NFL, it looks like Holley is headed your way in just a few years. Holley is confident she can handle the NFL but the question is can the NFL handle Holley?

Girls like that scare the crap out of me. I can just imagine her at age four, smashing tea sets and dressing her dolls in her favorite team's uniforms.

A lot of girls played football in my school district and they were on the guy's team.

Course in some cases they were pretty indistinguishable from the guys.

for the rest of us brits out there something to get you jealous, when i was in school the major sport was .... RUGBY not footboal and guess what the all girls grammer school was the same, and every year we have a match the boys grammer vs the girls grammer and i can tell you i had the honour to play twice.
The first time i played i was in a scrum down, well the boys were maybe stronger than the girls so we forced them down to the ground and well lets just say my head was very well cushioned from the ground, the second time i went to tackle their fly half who had the ball flying down the right wing i got her shorts, well either she forgot to wear underwear or they came off too, as much as many things happened to the girls the same happened to us, (think boys girls rugby hormones grappling each other you try playing a game when hormones are racing and you have a condition commonly associated with a amorous male affecting the nether regions (ha ha see managed to stay pg13)

I've played football bafore, but never on a team...they wouldn't let me, even though I wanted to try out. But I used to be a really good running back, I'm a fast little shit :D and ferocious :p

A girl that can take care of herself would be a relief to society...
