Baseball season is starting back up! Assuming that people besides myself come to the Sports section these days, discuss Major League Baseball here.

I know there are some Minnesotans on the site, so I thought I would share some pictures I took from a Mariners - Twins game last season in the Metrodome. I got a ball from the game too, since I hung out while the Mariner's were in batting practice. I think the one of Torii Hunter is the best, so I put the image directly into the post. Woah, were you sitting like, front and center, or did you cheat and zoom in. Anyway, that's alot better than any of my pics of past twins games. Okay, this will seem like a dumb Q, but when does the games all start, and were, other than the metro, can I find tickets?

I was using a really bad digital camera when I took those pics. I didn't zoom, I was seriously that close. It's pretty cool, not many people get to say that they were two feet away from the American League MVP and 2006 Batting Champ.

This was batting practice before the game, they decided to do everything right where I was sitting so I got some good pictures.

I get my baseball tickets from ticketmaster. Otherwise it's always nice to know someone with good seats and season tickets.

I watch maybe 5 games a year. My pop is a major Giants fan, so when they come to Colorado in the spring, we get tickets.

Speaking of the Giants, it looks like Barry Bonds is going to break the all time homerun mark this season. If McGwire and Sosa got shot down when the applied to the Hall of Fame, Bonds is going nowhere even with the record.

Part of that's because Barry Bonds is an ass. The other part of it, well, the drug allegations.
One thing that has always made me scratch my head about baseball is their, ahem, generous substance abuse policy, particularly when contrasted with their policy in regard to gambling. Shoeless Joe still hasn't gotten his due, and Willy Mays and Mickey Mantle were suspended from baseball for years because they took jobs at casinos.
