Generally we make it so that they should not, despite parental consent. There is the issues with post etiquette as well as the issue of some of the material on this site being (in some folks eyes) very NC 17.

The adults on the site should not have to be obligated to censor themselves so much because of younger members when this is intended to be an older persons messageboard.

However, I am not endorsing that we all suddenly get as profane as possible now :P

The puppy was not magically, or violently mauled. Like I said previously, it's a thought experiment. One where you have to take a theory that's well spelled out (see what I did there?) and explain it in a manner with which the general masses will see an analogy to something which was previously unclear to them. It's pretty easy to tell between a costume and something real (well, to me anyhow). Even if there was footage people weren't sure about, a professional who can detirmine if a video or photo is altered or not is never far away. The photo manipulations I've seen of werewolves are well done, but you can tell they aren't real.

...i would like to see a little publicity accorded to the legend of the Benandanti (i hope i got the spelling right 'cause i am doing this from memory...you know how it is with us old coots :D ).

either italian or latvian/ukrainian in origin, this legend posits that there is at least ONE group of werewolves which are "the Hounds of Heaven" and dedicated to fighting evil (perhaps the inspiration behind the original Werewolf: The Apocalypse game).

according to the legend, as i understand, several times a year these lycanthropes storm the Gates of Hell to salvage food stolen from the poor peasantry by evil witches and minor demons and imps and others so that orphans, widows and other unfortunates of humankind will not go hungry.

when i consider the legend, i also like to think that some of these werewolf-warriors also slip inside and try to free as many of the minor damned as they can and take them at least as far as purgatory for soul-cleansing and a second chance at heaven.

Actually, I would. Stop watching sci-fi, the real world isn't so full of conspiracy and evil governments. Yes, there will be tests, but nothing mean and nothing fatal. They can work out your entire inner system without any cutting, thanks to cameras, MRI and CT scans plus ultrasound. Hell, if you proved it they'll pull stops and not care of stops - the best technology. All of it means: they can do tests without harming you.

The tests can also advance science and possibly advance medicine. You could have the potential to cure millions of lives by doing nothing more harmful than donating a few vials of blood.

As an endangered creature with so much to offer, the government would actually protect you and try to give you as normal of a life as they can in exchange for co-operation with voluntary tests. And by going public means they can't hide you, so the public interest would keep you safe. Plus, there wouldn't be any need to hide you. This isn't the dark ages no a sci-fi movie.

They're colourblind, but only because their eyes are focused on the blue-green side of the spectrum. Oranges and reds show as yellow. They also can't focus on details like our eyes can. But, a dog's nightvision is much better than ours.
