I prefer mine rare after I had tried it once I really liked it. It keeps a lot of the flavor in and I think its just better tasting the less it is cooked. However unless I cook it myself at my house the places that you can get it usually do not allow the cooks to cook it for that little of a time. This is mainly because of sanitation reasons. So now when I go out to eat and order a steak I order it at the lowest cook time that they can offer it at. Cooking just waste all of the tasty juice and blood from the meat.
Should have made this thread a poll it’s easier to see what the majority likes.

I liek mine slightly cooked so its not totally rare but rare enough that is got a lot of juiciness and flavor in each bite :D
lol I hate Ruby Tuesdays... No offence but isn't it like a "soul food place"?

Hmmm...I'm sort of a medium rare person. But my family likes well done, so I'm anywhere between the two.

I scare my meat with the grill! :D
Seriously, I like it a bit pink, or red in the middle, just so long as the middle isnt cold. I cook my fillet mignon that way, and its damn fine, but I buy the packs with the fillets wrapped in bacon, and I usually have to cook the bacon seperately after I take it off the steaks. The only thing that would be better would be if they used cured bacon instead of the uncured stuff they use now...(DROOL!):drool :
Mmmmm. Damnit, now Im hungry!! :D

Rare is pretty darn good. I may sear both sides of the meat before eating it to lock the juices in more (I do this more with venisin though). Although, if it's really really bloody, as some of the venisin I get is, then medium. (Blood makes my stomach feel no so good after I've eaten a lot of it.)
(Yes, I know this is about steak, but venisin is better in my opinion.)

Steak?....STEAK? What the crap is steak?!....Oh......t hat's right........that's what they call the cow after they COOK it........I've never had it COOKED before.....I go cow-tipping, then I EAT IT! :droolbloo :D
Yeah I'm kidding. At Ryan's Steak House over here, I ALWAYS get one piece of medium and one piece of medium-rare. The medium doesn't have as much fat (I HATE fat on my meat) but the medium-rare is juicier. I'm not too picky with my meats. I just want it juicy, and no nasty fat...

I'd have to say medium-rare. I've eaten very rare steak, but it's just not my thing. I'm not sure how people can eat it when the inside is purpleish. Besides I worry about parasites.

Medium Rare, as well.
Unfortunately, my family never actually gets steak unless it's a special occasion of some sort... Why? Dunno.

Rare as the restuarant will make it. :D Or, if I'm at home, so bloody that the steak is nearly drowning in it. :droolbloo But, I like steak cooked anywhere from very rare to barely pink. I hate well-done steak, it tastes like a hockey puck :p

I like it cooked just enough to kill the bacteria and stuff, then I like it warm and bloody, unfortunately that kind is hard to come by

Well done. If its burnt then so be it. I can't stand the taste of raw meat much less the smell.

raw, rare, charred so the fat sizzles up to crunchy tasty tidbits, w/ garlic salt, ketchup, steak sauce, tiger brand and dragon brand sauces, thicker vs. thinner cuts, ones that aren't loaded with fat deposits and have a generous tenderlion portion, ones that have fun bones to chew on and around, (wipes away drool) this post is making me hungry!
