I think you mean wolfsbane, here's a site on it and pic. If that is the actual name of it, then it's false.

Wolfsbane is not Lycanthropous though...
And don't go looking for any plant to turn you into a werewolf, you won't find any. And if you eat Wolfsbane, you could die... it's poisonous.

No. You weren't wrong. There is a myth that involves Wolfsbane and turning into a werewolf... and then a myth involving Wolfsbane killing werewolves...
You were on the right track, I'm sure.
But, let's face it: There is no such "Lycanthropous" flower.

... Induce lycanthropy.
Of course, lycanthropy is a mental disorder... I've no clue what the real "werewolf" word is. There probably is no such word. I'll go look it up...

"u" is a letter not a word, and don't bother explaining to me the value of "netspeak".
You're on a messageboard and obviously capable of taking the time not to be that lazy so please use.
The flower probably does not exist outside the fictitious, if it does, then it has no abilities related to wolves. It's just a name, probably to emphasize some negative quality.

no because they would be in the abituary section (since wolfsbane is poisness) which is quite amusing (jackass's)

Does the flower exist: unknown(at least by the scientific world so far) - I believe flowers exist that meet the criteria of the Lycanthropus flower based upon it's physical description.
What does it look like: By legend it is said to smell aweful like something dead, and have thick milky sap (that is poisonous if I remember right.) I have read it described in color as being most commonly white or black petaled, and that it grows in swampy regions, as well as remote moutain regions in Europe. I'd have to look it up but Lycanthropus flowers where particularily popular with one European culture and region if I remember right.
Can you find pictures of it?: There are pictures of flowers that meet the physical description no doubt, but as a Lycanthropus flower has not outright been identified as a particular species by legend or otherwise, there are no known pictures of it that I am aware.
Regarding Wolf's Bane:
In legend it is often an ingredient in werewolf ointments, potions etc. No doubt given it's hallucinagenic ability in small amounts which the dark ages got a hold of and ran with.
It is also used to ward off werewolves, or just the opposite depending on legend attract them, kind of like a werewolf cat nip plant.
There are even legends about some werewolves being attracted to beer or precious jewels ha!

If you decide to look for it you might have to look for it, in the wilds of Europe though. All you have to do though is rub it on your skin, or fasten it to your clothes, (Accorrding to the legends atleast...)
DON'T EAT IT!

I had never even heard of it before. It sounds like it would be pretty cool to have in real life though, if you wanted to turn into a wolf all the time. :p

Quite a few werewolf legend books mention L-flowers.
Lycanthropus streams and rivers are fun to read about too.
It varies by legend if L-flowers keep one wolfed all the time after the flower is worn, rubbed in, eaten, or simply picked, etc. or for a given spell of time, or wolfed-up at dusk and wolfed-down at dawn each day etc.

Lycanthropy, or Lycanthropia as it is clinically known in some circles is a mental disease.
The word Lycanthropy by dictionary definition functions in language as an alternative (but less popularly used) word for one who is a werewolf also. As the word Lycanthropy can have different definitions it is a confusing word for some people.

Um, I just yahooed it, and the link I visited said noting about it being black.
"In the Balcanic Peninsula grows a flower that, people say, if eaten, transforms the eater into a werewolf. Lycanthropous flowers possess properties peculiar to themselves which are only discernible to those who are well acquainted with them.
Their scent is described as faint and subtly suggestive of death, whilst their sap is rather offensively white and sticky.
In appearance they are usually white and yellow marsh flower. They have to be plucked and wornafter at sunset when the moon is full."
Here is the link (http://werewolves.monstrous .com/lycanthropous_flower s.htm). Other links I went to said the exact same thing.

Legends are full of variations.
(I get the distinct impression you wish to slander the quality of the information I have posted about L-flowers. Let me assure what I have posted from what legends I have read is as accurate as what you have posted from what legends you have read online.)

In the Balcanic Peninsula (supposedly) grows a flower that, people say, if eaten, transforms the eater into a werewolf.
They have to be plucked and wornafter at sunset when the moon is full.
However there is no solid data to back this up even to the existence of such a plant. It's pure myth and legend and not real.
