Ummm, im not really religous im what you call a atheist. I guess the whole reason im not is iv'e had alot of really bad stuff has happened to me over the years and i decided to turn a blind eye to it all. I don't like the fact that someone/something has that much power and do nothing to stop the world from the its
enevitible state of chaos its in. Ok maybe i over exagerated that sentence but crimes worsen over the years. What is your all's opinions?.

You made a "What's your religion?" post right above the already existing "What's your religion?" post.

Maybe he thought - and rightly so, it would appear - that the old thread wasn't about what people's religion was anymore.

After having read through, I must say it is still indeed about religion, specifically the conversation seems to be based in personal interpretations of their religions, which is about as true to the concepts of "your" and "religion" as can be.

Asking the question "What is your religion?" is NOT the same as saying "Hey lets ALL debate as nauseam, our religious beliefs!"
If people want to start a discussion about their personal experiences with their respective religions, then I would posit they should make their OWN thread about it, and not muddy the waters of an existing one.

In that case let me state mine: I come from a muslim background but have slowly come to disbelieve in people’s orthodox/cultic and mostly anthropomorphic interpretations of divinity. I’d love to believe the way I see people in my community doing, but I simply can’t. So I stick to calling SPEEDRUNNING my religion :D. It makes for a good philosophy at any rate.

"They" (the/you smart ones) seem to have a name (proper name) for EVERY train of thought. My (crashed) train: Sometimes I`ll believe in God ("God, it`s a great day!" or "God, get me through this.."), and just like some people won`t walk under a ladder - I won`t use His name in vain (Godd___it!). Other than this I usually think there IS NO God, and when I die: that`s it.
p.s.-And I REALLY do get tired of being preached to;"Confess your sins or your going to Hell!", "The world is ending, Jesus IS returning, blah, blah, blah..". If I was stuck on a island with 100 of these "sort", then that WOULD be Hell :p

Self-proclaimed Satanist. Not a cult member or a human sacrificer. More along the lines of Lavey's, but taking out and inserting what I see fit within the philosophy.

I am the Roman Catholic, though I am increasingly turning disillusioned with this religion.

A simple question, but why?
