Ahh, ramen... one of my great passions in food. I'm a pretty well rounded person when it comes to tastes in different aspects and cultures, but I have to say, ramen is one of the best. The speed with which it can be prepared and the taste are almost unbearable. I am an official ramen fan! :buttrock:
(I'm actually eating it right now)

I love ramen noodles, have you ever put two flavor packets in one bowl? It is good until you get near the bottom, then it is very strong

Nah, never tried it, but it is a good suggestion... what's funny, my friends all call me Naruto because of my ramen obsession, *ahem* I mean, healthy passion.:D

RAMEN NOODLES! When my best friend and I were younger we liked to call it aloucious, although I don't know why...
I even have a song for the lime shrimp flavor.
*sings*
Down by the ocean lived a little shrimp
His name was lime and
he was flavored like a liiiiimon
flavored like a liiiiimon
And he had a wife and her name was lemon
and she was flavored like a liiiiimon
flavored like a liiiiimon
And they had a daughter and her name was limon
And she was flavored like a liiiime berry
flavored like a liiiiime berry
And don't ask what a lime berry is, because I don't know... Yeah, that's what happens when you mix hyper with bored.

If you're eating the 10¢ a pack stuff because that's the only way your grocery budget will work.... well, let's hope you get a raise soon. If you eat them because you like the taste, try Nong Shim Brand Neoguri Spicy Seafood. It's 89¢, but the red pepper kick will make you howl. I've found them at Whole Foods, and two different international markets, so they must be widely distributed.

I don't like red pepper. Or spicy. So I'll just stick to the brand of ramen I get because it's delicious and I have no need for anything else. ☻

I don't even know how it works. One bowl is an entire meal, and you don't even need anymore after that...
Ramen defies physics...

Indeed who knew that something made of noodles can fill you up. Me I LOVE ramen noodles I live on them cause my mom doesn't really know how to cook that well and neither does my dad so for me ramen is the way to go if your hungry :D

Except on the rare occasions I do eat Ramen, I get hideously thirsty, drink a lot to make that go away and then end up feeling like Free Willy because I'm so bloated.
It's good stuff but damn, the salt hits me where it hurts. Plus, you ever looked at the nutrition information for the noodles ALONE?! I doubt it's changed in the many moons since I've last eaten it.
On the other hand, anyone ever made what's commonly called "Chinese cole slaw" that uses just the noodles? We used to make it a lot but then it fell by the wayside...I might gank the recipe back into existance now.

The fellow who invented instant ramen noodles died within the past year. Can't remember his name. He started on the project right at the end of WWII, intending to find a quick, easy to fix, filling, cheap food. At that point, poor nutrition was a better choice than starvation.
What makes the stuff so bad for you is that the noodles are dried, not by air, like spaghetti, but by frying. Then the seasoning pack has like 4 times too much salt.
The real answer is, learn to cook. Women are soooo impressed with a guy who knows how to cook.

Dalmatas speaks the truth!
Ramen is nasty I really don't know how anyone could like something that contains 36% of your daily salt intake in one small package.

Well, to each their own. I know how to cook (and by saying this at least one person is probably going to criticize my cooking abilities), but I enjoy a quick fix if I'm feeling lazy.

I'm a great cook, but there are times when I feel too lazy to get out pots and pans and make a decent meal, so I turn to my little Ramen friends.
