The season has begun for parties. Football, Halloween, Turkey Day, Christmas, New Years. Soon there will be non-stop food and events to attend so now is the time to share your party food ideas.
My recipe to contribute today is Buffalo Chicken Dip:
Now this is a large recipe because it's for lots of people.
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts cooked and shredded
3 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
2 cups bleu cheese dressing (preferably the chunky kind)
1-1/4 cup of red pepper sauce, such as Crystal Hot Sauce
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Place shredded chicken in a pan on medium heat and mix in the hot sauce. Heat thoroughly and then stir in the cream cheese and blue cheese dressing. Then transfer mixture to a slow cooker like a crock pot and put on low heat, sprinkle cheese on top and let it melt and then serve. You can also place in a baking dish and bake until warm and the cheese is melted and then serve.
It's best served with celery sticks, thick crackers, or toasted rounds of bread. It may look orangey and not that appetizing but after the first bite your guests will devour it.

We`re having a `potluck`Halloween lunch and I think I`ll go buy a mold shaped as a hand to make a `hand` sandwich.Only thing is I`m not sure what to put in the mold.Any suggestions?I was thinking maybe 5-10 sandwiches.

Okay, this isn't a recipe, but it's a cool Halloween party idea. If you feel up to it, you can buy a pumpkin(relatively big) and cut it in half. After which you'll have to get all the seeds and pulp out. But then you can take a punch bowl or a dish of snacks and set them in the hollowed out pumpkin half. A punch bowl works great with this because it holds it steady and looks good for decoration. :D
Just thought I'd share.

I have this one in rave recipes but it's definitely a party food :)
Taco dip
16 oz sour cream
16 oz cream cheese
1 package of shredded taco cheese or Mexican cheese mix
1 packet of Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
1/2 head of shredded lettuce (optional)
2 diced Roma tomatoes (optional)
1 half of a can of black olive half's (optional)
Use an electric mixer (it's easier this way) and mix the sour cream, taco seasoning and cream cheese until smooth. Pour into a shallow dish, top with cheese then additional toppings. Scoop with tortilla chips I swear by this dip

How about a couple of drinks? I have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages you will like to have at your parties.
Howling Werewolf
This is a whiskey based shot. I find it isn't the initial taste that makes this great but the aftertaste, it's a knock-out!
1 ounce of Jack Daneils
1 ounce of Orange Liquor
4 dashes of Tabasco sauce
pour it in that order into a shot glass, don't shake or stir then take a shot. It will make ya bark at the moon. (Pun intended)
Moon Light
If your guests prefer vodka drinks give this a whirl.
1/2 oz. Vodka (any will do, try not to use a flavored variety though)
1/2 oz. Peach Schnapps
lemon lime soda such as Sprite or 7-Up
Fill a High ball glass (or a mason jar if you want to be silly) and then fill it the rest of the way with the soda. For an extra effect give your guests glow sticks to be used as a swizzle stick.
Vampire Blood Punch
1 gallon cranberry juice
1 gallon orange juice
1 cup raspberry sorbet
1 quart seltzer
Ice cubes
Mix the juices together. Add the sorbet, softened, and stir until it disappears. Add the seltzer. For a cool effect take a latex glove and fill it with either water or limeade. Use heavy duty rubber bands to secure the top of the glove, leaving a little room for expansion. Use a small plastic dish to prop up the secured end of the glove in the freezer. Freeze until solid, then peel away the glove to create a floating hand in your punch bowl.
Well that's it for now. Hope you enjoy them.

Mine's more of a quick and simple dip, but it works wonders with chips!
Cheese Dip
1 block Velveeta Mexican
2 cans Ro*Tel
Melt the Velveeta in a double boiler, it helps to cut it into cubes and melt them a few at a time and just keep adding cubes until the bowl is full of melted cheese. Spatula [yes, I use it as a verb] it all out in a separate bowl and add both cans of Ro*Tel, don't bother draining them. Mix well together and either eat straight out of the boiler or cool it in the fridge and enjoy cold.
I find that it works with a lot of chip types, but I recommend using the Frito scoops.
